As the person involved, Chu Ling was bound to take Yu Chiyan away. However, unexpectedly, as soon as Yu Qing sat back down, Chu Ling walked towards him.

“Mr. Yu, it seems you will have to come with us.”

Almost the instant Huo Xiting uttered those words, Yu Qing's brows furrowed.

Looking at the people on the stage, for some reason, he had a bad feeling.

Sure enough, Huo Xiting spoke again the next moment.

"I hereby announce that my engagement banquet with Miss Su Yaoyao is cancelled. Please treat this meal as a regular gathering and have fun."

As soon as he finished speaking, Yu Qing abruptly turned to look at Huo Xiting, his face filled with disbelief.

"Huo Xiting, what are you saying? Who gave you permission to cancel the engagement banquet!"

Huo Xiting looked at Yu Qing, whose face was full of anger, and his eyes deepened. "Godfather, I've thought it through. Yao Yao doesn't love me. She won't be happy if she marries me. For her sake, I'm willing to let go."

Originally, he believed that the people who had harmed his entire family were Yu Chiyan's parents. So he found all sorts of reasons to create a rift between Su Yaoyao and Yu Chiyan so that he could take advantage of the situation. His goal was the same as Yu Qing's: to make Yu Chiyan lose everything and to ruin the Yu family at Yu Chiyan's hands.

But later, when he realized that he might have been deceived by Yu Qing all along, and the reason that allowed him to do all this with a clear conscience collapsed, he realized that he couldn't be like someone like Yu Qing.

He genuinely liked Su Yaoyao. If Su Yaoyao had even the slightest romantic feeling for him, he wouldn't have let go today. But because Huo Xiting knew that Su Yaoyao didn't like him, he had no way to bind Su Yaoyao to his side through any contract.
