Dog blood drama!
1. Five years ago, someone impersonated Young Master Lu's fiancée to swindle in the...
expose
"This is throwing yourself into someone's arms."
The woman, who identified herself as "J," was wearing a baseball uniform and a baseball cap, with a disposable mask covering most of her face. She spoke impatiently: "A cheap, worn-out woman who's been paid to do this."
"Clang."
Sister Yan slammed her hand on the table and stood up.
Some of the coffee was shaken out, and thick, brown foam slid down the side of the cup onto the table, leaving a noticeable ring of coffee stains.
The sun gilded the coffee spilled on the table. Gu Nan stopped Yan Jie, who was about to get angry, strolled over to the table, took out a few tissues, and patiently wiped the inside of the cup, her eyelids slightly lifted.
J crossed his arms and looked at her coldly: "What's up?"
Gu Nan shrugged, ignoring the four gazes on her, and continued wiping the coffee cup.
Before "J" spoke again, she leaned forward slightly, pulled out two more tissues, casually stretched them out, and placed them between her palm and the cup.
Bowing his head, holding the coffee, raising his hand, splashing.
Completed in one go.
"ah!"
Warm liquid splashed onto "J's" face, flowing down his disposable mask and soaking into his chest.
"J" didn't have time to speak, so she quickly took off her coat, touched behind her ear, hesitated for a moment, and didn't take off her mask.
Gu Nan put down her coffee cup, lazily crossed her arms, and a smirk played on her lips.
He didn't even do his homework before impersonating her.
She takes direct action when she needs something; she doesn't have time for nagging or complaining.
She can tolerate being ripped off, but ruining her reputation is something she can't stand.
"What's wrong with you!" Sudi shouted as she straightened "J's" clothes, turning around to scold her.
Gu Nan said obediently, "I'll buy her coffee."
"Clatter".
The soaked tissue was crumpled into a ball, arced through the air, and landed precisely in the trash can.
Gu Nan's gaze lingered on the falling parabola.
Half a meter away from the trash can, Lu Yushi stood with one hand in his pocket, his sharp suit accentuating his tall and handsome figure.
Gu Nan leaned closer to the table, pressing most of her weight onto it. Unconsciously, she raised her hand and rubbed her lips with her index finger.
She thought her voice was loud enough to embarrass Lu Yushi in front of everyone, but Lu Yushi acted as if nothing had happened and didn't react at all.
She thought about it and realized that if someone dared to say those things to her, that person would most likely have no chance of standing up and talking to her.
After observing for a while, he came to a conclusion.
This man is either abnormal.
Or it's still not normal.
She tapped her fingertips lightly on the edge of the table, tilted her back, and squinted her eyes.
He thought to himself, "Black hair like ink, sword-like eyebrows and bright eyes, straight nose and thin lips, broad shoulders and narrow waist, looks slim in clothes, but muscular when undressed..."
What does it matter if it's normal or not? Anyway, she won't suffer any losses.
Lost in thought, she was suddenly leaned on the shoulder. Turning her head, she saw Sister Yan clinging to her arm and muttering, "What time is it? Stop daydreaming. Wipe your drool. You're making J so angry she's about to burst."
She looked up following Sister Yan's gaze. Sudi took off her coat, helped "J" put it on, and then half-squatted down to dilute the coffee residue on "J's" mask with a tissue.
Nevertheless, the pure black mask still showed obvious wet stains.
"J" met her gaze, his eyes dark and menacing: "I'm J, how dare you treat me like this?"
Gu Nan said casually, "Even if you're an ABC, you still have to apologize to me today."
Sudi was furious and suddenly stood up: "You were flirting with President Ji while seducing my senior brother. J said you were..." She paused, then changed her words, "J wasn't wrong, so why apologize?"
"hiss."
Gu Nan immediately shifted her gaze to Lu Yushi's face, retorting to Su Di's words while looking at Lu Yushi throughout the entire conversation.
"How can you just spout off like that? We're having a normal meal and a normal conversation, where's the ambiguity? If you don't understand, don't talk nonsense."
Fearing that Lu Yushi might be suspicious, she intended to step forward.
Sister Yan pulled him from behind and muttered, "Tone it down, don't act like you're burning with rage."
Gu Nan couldn't understand why he tilted his head, then turned to Lu Yu again and asked seriously, "Do I look thirsty?"
Sister Yan replied seriously, "Yes."
"Eh~"
A long sigh drifted away on the wind.
The scorching sun moved half an inch, and a few rays of light pierced through the sunshade, hitting Gu Nan's side face. The direct sunlight made her squint, and she leaned against the table, turning her head to avoid the sun's rays.
His arched back was as languid and relaxed as a kitten taking a nap.
Like a cat, when unhappy, it turns its back aloof and ignores people.
Sister Yan thought she had offended her and was about to say something to make amends when she heard her speak so arrogantly.
"If you don't seize the opportunity when I'm so eager for you, you'll regret it later."
Gu Nan smiled as she gazed at Lu Yushi across the blazing sun, their eyes meeting in mid-air.
Lu Yushi was dressed in a suit, tall and slender, exuding an aloofness from head to toe. A halo of light danced on his profile, highlighting the dark color of his eyes.
He stood at a distance, without saying a word.
Gu Nan sighed inwardly, "So handsome."
Then, smiling, she looked away and noticed out of the corner of her eye that Sister Yan had quietly moved to the side, deliberately creating distance between them.
?
A glance exchanged.
Sister Yan's gaze was complicated: "Didn't you notice? He doesn't want to talk to you at all."
"J" sarcastically remarked, "Even your friend noticed."
Su Di walked nervously toward Lu Yu, then stopped a distance away and bowed her head, saying, "Senior Brother Lu, I'm sorry, I didn't know she would come and cause trouble. I didn't mean to waste your time."
She raised her hand, but before she could get close, Lu Yushi stopped her in her tracks with a look.
"Senior, believe me, 'J' is amazing, she can definitely cure your insomnia."
Gu Nan paused, holding her coffee, and pouted speechlessly. She wasn't even sure about it herself, yet Su Di had so confidently guaranteed it for her.
She looked up and saw Lu Yushi staring at her expressionlessly.
She quickly covered her mouth, thinking to herself, "Did I lose control of my sarcasm again?"
But the rest of the people looked unharmed.
"When did I tell you to find J?" Lu Yushi's gaze was cold and deep, his voice was chilling, and his thin lips were extremely pale, showing that he was unapproachable.
Sudi lowered his head and remained silent.
The sunlight shrank her shadow to her feet, making her look pitiful and wronged.
Sister Yan scoffed, indignant: "They came to help you with your insomnia, and if you're not grateful, then don't come at all. And you're blaming them?"
Lu Yushi abruptly shifted his gaze, his eyes cold and sharp. He didn't say a word, just glanced at her. Sister Yan's voice faltered, then grew softer and softer until it disappeared. She wondered to herself, nudged Gu Nan with her elbow, and whispered, "Who is this person?"
No one could answer her questions.
"J" glanced at him, stood up, kicked aside the clothes that had fallen to the ground, held his head high, and looked at Sudi with a rather arrogant gaze.
"Come find me again when you've made all the arrangements. You know my rules, deposits are non-refundable."
Sudi quickly turned around and assured him, "I'm so sorry for taking up your time and getting your clothes dirty. I'll take responsibility for everything."
Gu Nan stared at Su Di with the same look she would give someone an idiot.
Her lips were pressed into a straight line, her face full of regret.
How could she not have seized such a good opportunity to be taken advantage of?
He couldn't help but blurt out, "Idiot."
Sudi: "What right do you have to swear at me!"
Gu Nan didn't even glance at him. When she tilted her head to look at Lu Yu, she snapped her fingers and said, "Hi, the one I teased now has two Js. Guess which one is real."
After he finished speaking, there was a long silence.
A gentle breeze stirs the coffee, leaving faint traces.
Sudi glanced at Lu Yushi's expression: "Is there any need to say more?"
Gu Nan scoffed, tired of standing on one leg, and adjusted her posture.
Sudi looked tense and stepped in front of "J," shouting warily, "What are you doing?"
?
Gu Nan bit her lip, looked down at her tired left leg with a look of disdain, and said, "Why don't you take some time to get your IQ tested?"
"Neuropathy."
...
Gu Nan glanced at Su Di, then at her again, gave up on communicating with her, and turned to look at "J".
Their eyes met, and "J" scoffed disdainfully, stepping onto the chair, one arm propped on the back of the chair, his gaze defiant.
A baseball jersey stained with coffee lay at her feet. The brand on the jersey was not obvious, but Gu Nan recognized that it was quite expensive.
She smiled dismissively, clapped her hands, and said, "It's not hard to find out who's real and who's fake. The patients are here; each of them gives their own hypnosis plan. Whoever's works is the real one. What do you think?"
Before "J" could speak, Sudi quickly refused.
"Why should J listen to you! If just anyone can impersonate J, is J supposed to compare himself to them one by one? Are you trying to steal my skills?"
Gu Nan ground her back teeth: "Shut up."
Sister Yan, standing beside her, grabbed her sleeve, her eyes wide with shock as if to say, "What nonsense are you talking about? I'm fake, how can I compare?"
Gu Nan mouthed, "You get out too."
"J" crossed his arms in front of his chest and looked down at Sister Yan: "Of course."
Sister Yan immediately sat up straight, coldly raising her eyes, only she knew how panicked she truly was.
She relied entirely on a mask to cover her face, shielding her from the unease of faking it.
When “J” looked at Lu Yu, his eyes were professional: “You look like you’ve been suffering from insomnia for at least five years.”
The words traveled on the wind to the ears of everyone present. Lu Yushi's gaze was calm, and his almost scrutinizing look made "J" lower his head.
The surroundings were frozen solid, and not a sound could be heard.
After a long while, so long that "J's" palms were covered in cold sweat, Lu Yushi finally let out a low "hmm".
"J" visibly breathed a sigh of relief.
But it didn't loosen up much.
“I met J five years ago, and we’ve maintained a monthly remote hypnosis session ever since,” Lu Yushi said in a clear voice.
Gu Nan was stunned for a moment, then thought to herself, "Nonsense."
"J" reacted quickly, placing his hands on his abdomen and replying confidently, "Yes, Mr. Lu, your condition is very bad, and it will take some time for you to fully recover. I'm so sorry to have delayed your time because someone impersonated me."
Sister Yan: "You admit it so easily? It was clearly me..."
Gu Nan quickly turned around and gave him a look.
Lu Yushi parted his thin lips: "What?"
His face was calm, but his gaze was incredibly oppressive, his hawk-like eyes seeming capable of shattering any lie.
Gu Nan rolled her eyes and blocked their view with her body: "She said that she received an order from Mr. Lu last year, and it was a total of four remote calls."
She observed Lu Yushi's reaction, and Lu Yushi stared at her in silence.
Undercurrents were swirling around him.
The breathing sounds became more intense.
She awkwardly touched the tip of her nose, her long eyelashes obscuring a glint of light in her eyes. She cleared her throat and raised her voice to ask Sister Yan.
"The way he looked at me, was it love at first sight?"
Sister Yan's face was a mask of emotions, and her lips twitched, her meaning unspoken.
Gu Nan tossed her hair, her delicate features furrowing as she feigned shock: "You're surprised someone fell in love with me at first sight?"
Sudi: "You..."
Lu Yushi: "They're all fake; I've never done it remotely."
After saying that, he turned to leave.
All three people present were stunned.
Gu Nan stared at his retreating figure, her gaze unreadable.
Sudi paused for a moment, then acted faster than she thought, reaching out to grab Lu Yushi's sleeve.
Before she could speak, noticing the cold look on Lu Yushi's face, she quickly let go of his hand and pointed at "J," saying, "Senior brother, she's real, I've seen her..."
Lu Yushi lowered his eyelashes, his face full of displeasure, making people afraid to even breathe.
He raised his chin slightly, his gaze swept over the two "J"s, lingered briefly on Sudi's face, and finally landed on Gu Nan, coldly uttering four words: "The last time."
Gu Nan pointed to herself, "Me?"
She softened her smile and blinked, "Then I'll ask one last time, do you want to add my contact information?"
Lu Yushi glanced at her indifferently, then turned and left.
Sister Yan came up from behind, put her arm around her shoulder, and said with a mischievous smile, "You got rejected."
The engine roared very faintly as the Cayenne sped away, disappearing from sight. Gu Nan smiled nonchalantly, a mocking smile playing on his lips: "This is what makes it fun."
Next time, she won't be so quick to give out her contact information.
"What do you mean by 'last time'? You know him? Hmm, his surname is Lu, could it be Lu Yushi's Lu?"
