Bu Ling, a vagabond from the apocalypse, transmigrates to a fictional seventies era. She faces a hellish starting difficulty. After a month of playing nice, she eventually sends off all of the orig...
Buling thought she would have to wait a long time to catch her in the act, but to her surprise, only a week after discussing it with Sangzhen, Sangzhen came to the state-run restaurant to find her one evening.
Sangshen pushed open the door and entered, giving Buling a wink. Buling immediately understood, had Wu Yuanyuan cover for her for a while, and then followed Sangshen out of the restaurant.
Sangzhen stopped, a smile playing on her lips: "It's done!"
"So soon?" Before Sangshen could answer, Buling asked again, "Tonight or tomorrow? But Han Yu didn't ask for leave?"
Sangshen smiled with a hint of malice: "He didn't ask for leave, but he has a big-mouthed mother. Han Yu's mother has said countless times in her conversations that when her son goes back tonight, he's still busy in the village trying to find an old hen that won't lay eggs."
Bling's lips curled into a smirk: "This is really a way to screw over your son. Shall we do it tonight?"
Sangshen nodded reservedly: "If that's what you mean, we can postpone it until tomorrow morning or tomorrow night."
Without hesitation, Bu Ling said, "Tonight it is. I'll go to Han Family Village to make two wooden buckets and a clothes hanger." These things were actually dispensable, but they were a good excuse for the moment.
Sangshen agreed with her: "This time we'll go by bicycle, it might take a while, and it'll definitely be dark by the time we get back."
"Isn't that what you're here for?" Bling said matter-of-factly.
"Yes, and me too." The boy's voice rose at the end.
"I'll go ask the manager for leave right now." Bu Ling hurried back to the hotel, and a moment later came out pushing her bicycle and carrying a bag. "Right now?"
"Let's go, Xie Dong is waiting for us." Sangzhen said, getting on her bicycle.
Bu Ling followed behind him: "Is Xie Dong going too?"
"It's safer at night when there are more people around."
“That’s true.” Bling nodded.
They met up with Xie Dong at the secondhand store, and the three of them, filled with excitement, went together to witness a long-planned drama of catching someone in the act of adultery.
Surprisingly, this brought Bu Ling and Xie Dong much closer. After all, they were partners who had done bad things together, so they could be considered to have developed a relationship.
When the three arrived at Hanjiacun Village, it was already dark. This time, they went to find the carpenter first. The carpenter's house was already locked, so Xie Dong broke down the door.
The carpenter saw Buling and exclaimed, "Little girl, it's you again?"
"It's me again, Uncle. I came here this time to ask for a clothes hanger and two wooden buckets. Do you have any? If you do, I'll just take what's available."
"Yes, these are all commonly used items. Come in and choose." The carpenter uncle was very welcoming to the little girl.
Seeing this, Xie Dong immediately clutched his stomach and said, "My stomach hurts a bit, I need to use the restroom first, wait for me a moment." Without waiting for a reply, he dashed off.
The carpenter was about to mention that he had a toilet at home, but before he could even speak, he only caught a glimpse of Xie Dong's back.
"Uncle, never mind him, let's pick out some furniture first," Bu Ling immediately changed the subject.
The carpenter looked away and said, "Come with me."
Buling and his companion exchanged a glance and followed the carpenter towards the side room.
The two went inside, pretending to pick out two wooden buckets and a clothes rack with flashlights. Just as they were about to pay, someone suddenly shouted, "Fire! Fire! Help! Help put out the fire!"
The two men exchanged a glance, then turned and ran outside simultaneously. The carpenter was stunned, but after he came to his senses, he followed suit.
In the pitch-black night, the fire was quite conspicuous. Bu Ling and the other ran towards it, and Xie Dong suddenly appeared out of nowhere and followed them.
The carpenter's house wasn't far from Han Yu's. When the three of them arrived, there weren't many people around yet. They immediately found a spot with a great view but wasn't particularly noticeable and stood still.
The captain rushed over, kicked open the Han family's door with two loud bangs, grabbed a bucket of water, and headed straight for the fire. Several men followed closely behind. Xie Dong pointed to one of the men and said, "That's him. Just watch what he does."
Bu Ling and the other person nodded repeatedly.
My eyes followed the man's figure, watching him blend into the firefighting team, subtly moving towards a tightly closed door. He then feigned a slip, stumbled a couple of steps, and smashed open that magical door.
The man was quite the drama queen; he quickly scrambled to his feet, yelling, "Sorry, I lost my balance! What are you doing?!" His loud shout immediately drew everyone's attention.
The fire wasn't large, and it was quickly extinguished thanks to the combined efforts of the captain and several others. Hearing the man's words, they rushed over to see what was going on.
Inside the room, Han Yu and the female educated youth, their faces pale, hurriedly dressed.
Actually, they were the first to notice the fire when it started, but Han Yu was in the middle of a great time and didn't get away in time when he heard people coming to put out the fire, which led to the situation developing as it is now.
When the captain saw the two men like this, his face turned ashen. Given this scene, what else could anyone not understand?
"This...this isn't Jiang Zhiqing?" the drama queen asked again.
"Good heavens, it really is!"
"No wonder Aunt Han was willing to let Jiang Zhiqing move in!"
"Didn't Han Yu get married?"
"So he's having an affair?" The drama queen always manages to utter something surprising at crucial moments.
"No, no, no, it's a misunderstanding." Han Yu explained in a panic, "I, I just drank too much, it was an accident, it's not what you saw."
The drama queen spoke up again: "Did Jiang Zhiqing also drink too much?"
With a whoosh, everyone's gaze shifted to the female comrade who had remained silent throughout.
Jiang Zhiqing shrank back, pulled the blanket up higher, covered her face, and sobbed softly, but in reality, she was weighing the pros and cons in her mind.
