Chapter 156 Enemies Meet on a Narrow Road

Sangshen turned and quickly followed, standing shoulder to shoulder with Buling: "What's going on? Another commotion?"

"Aunt Shen has rented out the side room, and someone came to see the house today," Bu Ling said, while handing Sang Shen a handful of melon seeds.

Sangshen took it and put it in her pocket: "The Jiang family is willing?"

Bu Ling pouted: "What can you do if you don't want to? You know what kind of person Aunt Shen is. She can make trouble even when she's being unreasonable." Besides, the house does belong to Aunt Shen in principle. Even if Jiang Nian is unwilling, there's nothing she can do about Aunt Shen's determination.

Sangshen asked casually, but what he was really curious about was: "Why would Aunt Shen suddenly want to rent out her house?"

Bling didn't know either: "Who knows what she's thinking?"

Hearing their conversation, the elderly woman in front of them slowed down and said, "I know." Then she looked at Buling with a smug expression.

Buling was quite cooperative: "Then, Aunt Lan, would you like to tell us?" He even slipped Aunt Lan a piece of candy, as this old lady was the type to not act until she saw something good.

Aunt Lan quickly stuffed it into her pocket: "Just one yuan?"

"Don't give it back to me!" Bling said sternly.

Aunt Lan immediately changed the subject: "Let me tell you, Jiang Hua wrote to Lao Shen asking for money. Lao Shen had some money on hand, so he sent it to her. Now he has no money."

"Well, someone just happened to come and inquire about the house, which reminded Old Shen that he could make money by renting out the house. Her room costs seven yuan." Aunt Lan's tone was full of envy.

"Who is this sucker?" Bu Ling was no longer a clueless newbie. Seven yuan for a side room was ridiculously expensive.

Aunt Lan actually knew: "A couple from the countryside, the man works in a food factory."

As they spoke, the group arrived at the backyard. Wu Yuanyuan, standing at the front door, greeted Bu Ling, "Bu Ling, this!"

Bu Ling didn't stand on ceremony and pulled Sang Shen to stand next to Wu Yuanyuan. Wu Yuanyuan stuffed a handful of fried soybeans into her hands: "Try some? My mother-in-law just fried them."

Bling took the mulberry, cut it in half, picked up a soybean and popped it into her mouth: "Delicious! Crunchy!"

He tasted the mulberry and asked, "Do you like it? Shall I stir-fry a pot for you?" He was confident he could make it even better.

“Sure, I happen to have some soybeans.” Buling had great faith in mulberries when it came to food.

Wu Yuanyuan crunched on the fried soybeans: "Look, people are coming out!"

The sound attracted Sangshen and Buling, who looked towards the side room and then frowned simultaneously.

"Huh? Aren't these the two people who caused trouble for you at the restaurant last time? They're the ones who want to rent Aunt Shen's house?" Wu Yuanyuan exclaimed in surprise.

Without Wu Yuanyuan asking, Buling saw the male and female protagonists standing with Aunt Shen, their brows furrowed so deeply they could trap flies. Was there a novel where the male protagonist rented a house?

And food factories?

How come she remembered that the male lead was assigned to a lumber mill after his demobilization?

Even the timing doesn't match up. The male lead changed careers last year and only got a job this year.

Seeing Buling frown, Sangshen clicked her tongue and poked her forehead: "Don't worry, I'm here!"

Bling snapped out of her daze and looked at Sangshen: "What am I worried about? They should be the ones worried, okay? This is my territory, you know the order of arrival!"

She now feels absolutely nothing for the male and female leads, treating them as strangers, or rather, enemies among strangers.

Sangshen liked Buling's confidence and patted her head with a smile: "You're awesome!"

Bling rolled her eyes at him. Was he taking pictures of a puppy?

While the two were chatting, Aunt Shen had finished her argument, and in the end, Han Weiguo rented Aunt Shen's headphone amplifier for 6.5 yuan a month for a year.

Bu Ling felt quite uncomfortable watching Aunt Shen smile like a kind old lady: "This is the first time I've ever seen Aunt Shen smile like this."

Wu Yuanyuan replied coolly, "If I could find such a sucker, I would smile even more kindly than Aunt Shen."

Buling: She couldn't refute that.

Then she thought about it again and realized that if she were in that situation, she would probably do the same. After all, it's rare to see someone so foolishly taken advantage of, so she stopped talking.

After agreeing on the price, Aunt Shen was about to go to the neighborhood office to sign the agreement. Han Weiguo and Ling Wei followed behind Aunt Shen, their faces looking quite grim. Their expressions turned even worse when they saw Bu Ling, who was watching the commotion.

"What are you doing here?" Ling Wei blurted out. Han Weiguo also stared at Bu Ling, his brows furrowed, looking at Bu Ling with displeasure.

Bling rolled her eyes: "What's it to you!"

Hearing their conversation, Aunt Shen stopped and asked, "You two know each other?"

"I don't know her!" Ling Wei

"We have a grudge!" Bling

The two looked at each other for a moment, then simultaneously looked away.

Aunt Shen looked at Bu Ling suspiciously, but Bu Ling didn't even glance at her and said to Sang Shen, "Let's go, bad luck!"

It was unclear whether the words were directed at Aunt Shen or Ling Wei, but both women assumed that Bu Ling was referring to them, and their expressions twisted in disbelief.

The three of them stared intently at the backs of Bu Ling and Sang Shen, their expressions anything but friendly. After a long while, it was Aunt Shen who came to her senses first: "Xiao Han, let's go, let's go sign the agreement."

Regardless of what their relationship is with that brat Bling, they can't let the duck that's already in their mouth fly away.

Han Weiguo glanced at Ling Wei: "Follow me."

Ling Wei noticed the displeasure in Han Weiguo's eyes and hurriedly followed him with small steps. The two of them left with Aunt Shen, and one can imagine the frustration in their hearts.

Han Weiguo was supposed to be given a good job after being demobilized, but because of the incident at the restaurant, not only did he lose his job, but his demobilization was also brought forward, and he could only take his demobilization pay and go home to farm.
