Chapter 236 Wearing Clothes Inside Out, Encountering an Acquaintance

Depend on!

This guy wasn't this clingy when he was alive. Now that he's dead, why is he bothering me? He should just go and reincarnate.

And what does he mean by saying that Xiao He was looking for me?

Why would your girlfriend contact me if she doesn't contact you?

Although I didn't get a clear look at Su Mingyang's whole appearance, judging from his appearance, it seemed that he hadn't been drained to death, but rather that he had drowned.

But if I remember correctly, Su Mingyang was quite afraid of water.

Because he said he almost drowned when he was a child, he would never go to the river to play. How could he have drowned for no reason?

I didn't dare look any further. I kept Liu Sandao's words in mind: don't stop, don't listen, don't speak, and don't be distracted. If I didn't die after walking three laps, I would go find him tomorrow.

"Old Chen, why are you walking so fast? Xiao He and Master Jin are waiting for you."

I'll wait for your sister!

I cursed inwardly.

I don't know if Xiao He is dead or not, but Jin Ye is dead. He's still waiting for me, waiting for me to be reincarnated together?

“You’re not Old Chen… but you look like him…”

Su Mingyang's voice seemed to rise from the bottom of the water, reaching my ears intermittently, carrying a sinister and bewildering quality.

As he spoke, his figure became increasingly blurry, swaying as he continued to drift forward.

At that moment, I finally saw what he looked like.

He was soaking wet, with strands of dark green water plants clinging to his limbs and winding their way up his arms and thighs.

Some even wrapped around his neck, as if trying to drag him back to the bottom of the water.

His hair was a mess, plastered all over his face, with a few strands swaying slightly with his movements, revealing a cloudy, lifeless eye staring straight ahead as if searching for something.

"Old Chen, where are you... Stop hiding and come out now, Xiao He will be angry."

He muttered to himself as he mechanically moved forward, his steps unsteady, as if he might vanish into thin air at any moment.

Before I could even breathe a sigh of relief, Su Mingyang's previously elusive figure suddenly stopped.

Then he turned around and staggered back towards me.

"Are you really not Old Chen?" His voice sounded like it was being squeezed out from between his teeth.

I didn't dare to breathe loudly, and in my heart I was already cursing Liu Sandao to the bone.

Didn't we agree that as long as I wear my clothes inside out, the dirty things won't be able to see me?

But Su Mingyang was clearly coming for me.

However, judging from his expression, he didn't seem quite sure who I was.

Su Mingyang moved step by step toward me.

I could feel the chill emanating from him, as if I were standing at the entrance of an ice cellar.

He just stared straight at me like that, and I didn't dare to agree at all. I could only secretly pray that he would leave as soon as possible.

Seeing that I didn't answer, he seemed to be completely enraged and suddenly brought his face close.

I was so close I could see the dense black water droplets on his face.

His nose twitched incessantly as he sniffed me like a dog, muttering, "But why do you smell like Old Chen? Who... are you?!"

Time seemed to stand still, and every second felt incredibly long.

He just stood there in front of me, motionless, only repeating, "Who are you?!"

The sound grew increasingly shrill, until finally it felt like a sharp knife piercing straight into my eardrums.

I was incredibly anxious.

Liu Sandao didn't teach me what to do in this situation either.

Or, should we make up a name to fool him?

The thought had barely crossed his mind when Su Mingyang suddenly pulled his head back, narrowed his eyes to slits, and said, "So you're mute."

I felt like I had grasped a lifeline, so I nodded vigorously, silently repeating to myself: That's right, I'm mute, I can't speak, please don't find out about me.

To everyone's surprise, a sinister smile suddenly appeared on his face.

"You can see me, right?"

My heart skipped a beat.

Holy crap!

This guy was as stupid as an ox when he was alive, but he's so shrewd after he died, he even knows how to test me!

I didn't have time to think. I quickly pretended not to see him, stared straight ahead, waved my hand wildly in the air, pretended to be blind, and walked towards him.

The moment my body passed through him, a bone-chilling cold seeped from my skin into my bones, making me shiver involuntarily.

Immediately afterwards, Su Mingyang's faint voice came from behind: "It's not Old Chen, Old Chen isn't blind."

Just as I was about to applaud my own cleverness, a shout suddenly came from the convenience store in front: "Master Chen!"

I looked closer and saw it was a woman.

The woman was wearing a simple dress, and her hair was casually tied back.

I was stunned for a moment, my brain racing, and it took me a while to remember that this woman's husband had been in a car accident more than a year ago.

Her husband's car collided with a large truck, and his face was mangled beyond recognition, covered in blood and gore.

The wound was so big that no one could stitch it up, and I was the one who helped in the end.

Afterwards, the woman gave me a large red envelope containing six thousand yuan as a token of her gratitude.

The woman was accompanied by a child who was about five or six years old.

I vaguely remember the child's name, it seems to be Pumpkin, or maybe Winter Melon, but it's been too long and I can't quite remember.
