Sewing Corpses, Suppressing Ghost Disasters

Humans have Three Souls and Seven Spirits, ghosts have Nine Netherworld Obsessions and Five Aggregates of Fire. But from the time I was born, I was missing an Earth Soul.

From a young age, I ...

Chapter 398 Old Knife Has Been Replaced

"Brother Chen, something's not right here!" Old Dao looked around.

I yelled at him angrily. Even a fool could see something was wrong, but we had no idea which way to go.

My eagle owl is now back to its tattooed state.

It would be very difficult to identify them based on the eagle owl.

"Brother Chen, it's all my fault. I was blinded by lust. Otherwise, I wouldn't have brought you to such a dangerous place!"

Old Dao began to repent, realizing that if he hadn't seen Hua Hua and been bewitched by her, he wouldn't be in this state.

I said it's not his fault; he's not very skilled, so it's normal for him to fall for it.

Old Dao suggested splitting up, but I scolded him: "Foolish! If we stay together, we can look out for each other. If we separate, we won't even know how we died! Let's try our luck first!"

I decided to start by checking the left-hand passage, so that even if there was danger, I could have someone to look out for me.

Chirp chirp chirp!

When I chose the left-hand passage to begin, the eagle owl responded.

It emitted a sharp, chirping sound.

This should be exciting!

"Come on! Follow me!" With the eagle owl leading the way, I felt relieved and waved my hand, heading towards the left path.

Old Dao followed behind eagerly.

Although it's called a cellar, the passageway is only wide enough for three or four people to pass through.

But there was a faint light emanating from this passage.

You can vaguely see the scene in the distance.

After walking for about ten minutes, the situation remained the same; the passage seemed to stretch on forever.

A misty fog enveloped the area, making it damp and gloomy.

"Brother Chen, what other reactions does Lord Eagle Owl have?"

Old Dao looked at my arm, trying to find comfort there.

"No response, just a slight vibration, and then it's like this!"

I placed my arm in front of Lao Dao so he could see it; the thing was perfectly calm.

"Hehe, Brother Chen, I believe in you. You can definitely get me out of here. How dare a little snake spirit try to scam Brother Chen and Lord Eagle Owl!"

Old Dao now has a lot of confidence in me, or rather, in the Eagle Owl.

This kind of food chain-like restraint is practically ingrained in one's very bones.

I ignored Lao Dao and continued walking, while gesturing for him to follow.

The fog was getting thicker and thicker; even with my phone's flashlight, visibility was less than two meters.

After taking only two steps, the eagle owl's reaction began to weaken.

It means that there was a problem at the place we were just now, possibly because the fog interfered with our judgment.

I took a few steps back and then looked at the wall.

I noticed that the walls here are slightly different from the walls I saw earlier.

There are some decorations on the walls here, which look a bit like snake scales.

Perhaps there's more to this than meets the eye.

Old Dao seemed to understand what I meant, and he knocked on the wall, which indeed made a thumping sound.

"Wow, there really is something there! If it weren't for your amazing observation skills, Brother Chen, we would have missed it!"

Old Dao couldn't stop praising me.

Then, he raised his foot and kicked the wall.

The wall was as thin as paper; with one kick from Lao Dao, a huge hole was punched through it.

"Old Dao, you're really something!" I looked at the huge hole and gave Old Dao a thumbs up.

This is the first time this kid has done something decent since we met.

"Hey, Brother Chen, I have to do something too, right? Let's go in!"

Old Dao urged.

I went through the broken opening and found myself in an empty room.

On the wall, there is a huge snake head, somewhat like the Chamber of Secrets from the Harry Potter movies.

It's extremely creepy.

I glanced at Lao Dao, who this time showed no fear and walked straight up to me.

"Brother Chen, there seems to be something good in this room!" Old Dao pointed to a corner.

In the empty room, there were two cabinets standing there, which looked very out of place.

I didn't move, but picked up the broken bricks.

These bricks are indeed very light; I squeezed one, and it was quite easy to break.

"Brother Chen, this wall was a bit loose to begin with, I just kicked it open!"

Seeing my confusion, Lao Dao quickly explained.

"Let's see what's inside the cabinet?" I didn't dwell on the question and walked up to the cabinet.

"Brother Chen, let me do it, let me do it!"

Old Dao took the lead, as brave as a war god.

After opening the cabinet, a large white egg appeared in front of us.

It was a little bigger than a goose egg. Although it was white, when I shone a flashlight on it, it actually had a grayish sheen.

Old Dao asked me what it was, and I said it might be a snake egg.

I've seen snake eggs in the countryside. Although they vary in size, they are all similar in shape, being oval.

"Snake eggs! Let me see!"

Old Dao immediately became interested.

Take out the snake eggs.

Old Dao touched the snake eggs, his mouth practically watering.

The snake egg was emanating a strange aura, but Old Dao didn't seem afraid at all.

The eagle owl tattoo artist got excited again at this point.

I brought my arm to Old Knife's face, and the eagle owl opened its mouth and sucked the snake egg in.

It seems that the good thing the eagle owl sensed earlier was this.

"Brother Chen, there should be another one in here!"

Old Dao pointed to another cabinet.
