Chapter 152 Little Bastard

"Daddy, Dr. Xia's noodles are delicious, why aren't you eating them? I'll be unhappy," Xia Xingxing said angrily, puffing out her cheeks.

Huo Nanxiao smiled slightly: "I'll eat it."

He took a bite right in front of Xia Xingxing.

He was very picky about food, and the chefs at home were all top-notch, making everything taste exceptionally good. However, Huo Nanxiao always felt that the food was just average and nothing special.

Huo Nanxiao had no expectations for the noodles Xia Ningxi cooked.

He ate every last bit of the bowl of noodles.

Xia Ningxi was very surprised.

"The taste is so-so." Huo Nanxiao was very stubborn.

Xia Ningxi muttered to herself: If the noodles I cooked were really that bad, you wouldn't have drunk the soup, would you?

She didn't expose Huo Nanxiao, and instead gave Xia Xingxing an extra egg.

Xia Xingxing said, "Daddy has no taste. The noodles Dr. Xia makes are clearly the best in the world."

“Yes, you’re right,” Huo Nanxiao chimed in.

Xia Xingxing said, "Hmph, Daddy is so hypocritical."

Huo Nanxiao was speechless, and for a moment he didn't know what to say.

He wasn't busy in the morning, so he patiently watched Xia Xingxing finish her breakfast.

Xia Ningxi cooked the noodles, so Huo Nanxiao didn't ask her to clear the table and picked up the bowls and chopsticks himself and went into the kitchen.

With nothing to do, Xia Ningxi decided to pack her things and leave.

There was a commotion outside the door, and Xia Ningxi was puzzled as to who was arguing. She went out and found Xia Luoluo still kneeling on the ground.

Zhou Fenglin, who rushed over, was cursing loudly because of this matter.

"Nonsense." Zhou Fenglin refused to admit it.

Lu Qi said, "Whether it's nonsense or not, you know in your hearts."

Zhou Fenglin said, "Even if the Huo family is the most powerful family in the capital, they can't bully people like this. Luo Luo has taken good care of Huo Yuan all these years and has never mistreated him. It's so unfair that you can just make up a few words and erase all of Luo Luo's efforts over the years!"

"Mom, don't say anymore, it's not Huo Shao's fault," Xia Luoluo said in a hoarse voice.

Zhou Fenglin was furious: "If we don't blame him, who else can we blame?"

“Xia Ningxi resents me for taking her child back then, which is why she taught Huo Yuan to talk nonsense. Young Master Huo just believed Huo Yuan's words; the fault doesn't lie with him,” Xia Luoluo replied.

"Xia Ningxi? It's that bitch again? Is she the one who ruined you like this?" Zhou Fenglin was furious.

She then learned that Xia Ningxi had stayed at the Huo family's house all night.

Xia Luoluo has taken care of Huo Yuan for so many years, but she doesn't even have the right to stay overnight at the Huo family home, let alone stand next to Huo Nanxiao. What makes Xia Ningxi so special?

Zhou Fenglin was very angry.

She pointed at Xia Xingxing and said, "And you, you ungrateful wretch! We feed and care for you every day, and this is how you treat us. Just like your mother, you are a heartless bastard."

Zhou Fenglin was furious and said some very harsh things.

Lu Qi, who was standing to the side, was shocked. He never expected that Zhou Fenglin, who was usually very polite and kind, would say such a thing. He reminded her, "Madam Zhou, please be careful with your words."

"Am I wrong? They're two ungrateful wretches." Zhou Fenglin retorted.

Lu Qi said, "Young Master Huo is still at home today. If he hears what you said..."

Lu Qi was speechless, unsure of what to say for a moment.

Zhou Fenglin was furious and didn't care whether Huo Nanxiao was at the Huo family home or not. She angrily grabbed Xia Ningxi's clothes and said, "Wasn't it enough that you hurt Wanwan like this back then? Now you dare to hurt my Luoluo. Why don't you just die?"

Xia Ningxi curled her lips into a smile: "If I really died, wouldn't that be exactly what you wanted? I am Huo Nanxiao's lawfully wedded wife, the legitimate eldest daughter-in-law of the Huo family. Xia Wanwan is at best a mistress. I advise you to watch your mouth."

Xia Xingxing was very angry: "I won't allow you to talk about her like that."

Zhou Fenglin said, "I haven't even said anything about you, you little bastard. Have you forgotten how good we've been to you? You've actually turned against us and helped this wicked woman. If it weren't for us supporting you, you would have been dead somewhere long ago. And you're still not satisfied!"
