Lu Qi replied, "Please wait a moment, young mistress. Young Master Huo will be here shortly."

“He’s busy comforting Xia Wanwan right now, so he doesn’t have time to go home,” Xia Ningxi said.

Lu Qi replied, "Young Madam, you're overthinking it. Young Master Huo is probably discussing business with Young Master Jin and a few others."

"Forget it, I'll take a nap. Wake me up when I get home." Xia Ningxi lay down on the chair, ready to sleep. Who knows if that bastard Huo Nanxiao will even come home tonight.

"Who is the young mistress talking to on the phone? Why does that voice sound familiar?" Lu Qi had already recognized the voice as Li Yancheng's, but he couldn't quite believe it.

He wondered how the young mistress could be in contact with Li Yancheng.

Xia Ningxi said, "You're being quite nosy."

Lu Qi's cheeks flushed, and he dared not ask any more questions.

The car window was half open, and although the air conditioning was on, it wasn't warm at all. The warm air kept blowing out of the window, making the car stuffy. Xia Ningxi couldn't sleep at all and could only look in the direction of the elevator, waiting for Huo Nanxiao to come back.

The man nodded and walked out of the examination room.

Zhou Fenglin, Xia Wenhe, and the others were waiting outside. As soon as Huo Nanxiao came out, they anxiously asked, "Young Master Huo, is Wanwan alright?"

"She's just injured, nothing serious. She just needs to rest and recover. Don't let anyone bother her anymore. Let's end the banquet early today." Huo Nanxiao looked displeased.

Xia Wanwan said, "Ning Xi was hit by the wheelchair just now and must be injured. You should take her to the hospital to get her checked out."

Xia Wanwan didn't say anything more and asked Xia Luoluo to take her upstairs.

Xia Luoluo quickly ran up, helped Xia Wanwan's wheelchair, and pushed her into the elevator.

Upon entering the bedroom, Zhou Fenglin wanted to help move Xia Wanwan from her wheelchair to the bed, but was refused. Xia Wanwan said, "Mother, please go out for a moment."

"I'm going out? Why?" Zhou Fenglin asked, puzzled.

Xia Wanwan said, "I have something to tell my sister."

"Alright, then remember to call the servants if you need anything. You absolutely cannot let anything else happen. You have no idea how scared your father and I were just now."

"Don't worry, Mother, I know. You go and greet the guests first, and make sure you don't neglect them," Xia Wanwan reminded her.

Xia Luoluo said, "This isn't the first time Xia Ningxi has hurt my sister. I thought she pushed my sister down the stairs, so I got angry and said some harsh things. But I did all this for my sister's sake. You are my own sister. When I saw you injured, it wasn't wrong for me to question the suspect, right? Why did my sister get angry?"

She looked aggrieved.
