Gentle, rational, and inwardly strong gong (Jiang Xu) vs. genius, madman, emotionally stunted shou (Gu Li).
Jiang Xu was reborn, and coincidentally, the person he was reborn as was also named...
Gu Li glanced at it, then lowered her head and said softly, "You even dared to bring the draft?"
Jiang Xu wasn't an expert in this area, but he knew a little. He simply maintained a polite smile, nodded to the newcomer, and continued looking at the character 'pear' in the center.
He thought that it was exactly the same as the one on his own vase. Jiang Xu only knew that Gu Li had a high level of artistic talent, but he never knew how high it was. Now he had a better understanding.
Hearing Gu Li's words, the painter felt that the child was ignorant and became somewhat dissatisfied, "Do you even know what art is? Do you know what you're saying?"
Gu Li turned her head to look at him, her face expressionless, "If I don't understand, do you think you do?" Her calm tone carried an arrogant air.
The painter Gauguin was somewhat dissatisfied, saying, "It's one thing if viewers don't understand appreciation, but it's rather impolite to casually criticize other people's paintings."
“Who said we are spectators?” Gu Li asked.
The painter was taken aback. "Isn't that right?"
Gu Li tapped the screen. "I'm up there." His fingertip tapped casually, seemingly pointing directly at the huge 'pear,' but the painter clearly didn't see it that way.
"Then you should learn from others even more, otherwise, no one will be able to find your name. Especially see that 'pear'? That's something you can only dream of."
Gu Li chuckled lightly, "Is that so?" He clearly didn't want to talk to anyone anymore, and his gaze swept around the venue, looking around casually.
Jiang Xu nodded to the middle-aged painter, "Suit yourself, let's go look around elsewhere."
The painter watched the two children's retreating figures and scoffed, "Kids these days, so immature... they're unlikely to amount to anything." He looked at them with a disappointed expression, then turned and searched for the next rich kid.
As time passed, more and more people entered the art exhibition, and the number of viewers gradually increased. Gu Li stood in front of her painting and explained it to Jiang Xu.
There were many people surrounding them, and the two of them stood at the back talking about the paintings. Gu Li thought for a moment and said, "The completion time of these paintings is inconsistent. Sometimes they can be painted one after another, and sometimes it takes several months to make a single stroke."
Jiang Xu looked at each painting one by one. Gu Li's style was mostly flamboyant, but there were also a few that were more restrained. Each painting was unique, and the emotions conveyed in each one were different. "Really amazing," he exclaimed, his tone genuinely impressed by Gu Li's skill.
A talented painter can evoke empathy in his viewers, and Gu Li is undoubtedly such a painter.
Just as they were about to move on to the next scene, a little girl bumped into them without warning. The little girl lost her balance and was about to fall backward when Jiang Xu caught her and stepped back after she regained her balance. "Be careful."
"Ah," the girl said, looking down apologetically, "I'm sorry! I was so excited about the art exhibition that I didn't notice." She then looked up.
Both sides recognized each other, and the girl exclaimed softly, "Ah, it's you!"
They had met at the amusement park before, and she had taken pictures of the two of them. She never expected to see them again here.
Jiang Xu nodded and said gently, "Hello."
Gu Li nodded, "That's quite a coincidence."
The girl's eyes lit up. Seeing the two standing in front of the picture drawn by 'Pear', she smiled and said, "You like him too! I was super lucky this time. I won the invitation in the raffle, so I was able to come and see this."
She said happily, then bowed to the two of them, "Thank you so much for last time. I'm working hard at painting now, and I hope to be able to paint such vivid souls as he is."
Jiang Xu and Gu Li looked at each other. Jiang Xu winked at Gu Li and smiled gently and charmingly. Then he turned to the girl with a less intense smile and said, "Congratulations."
The girl gazed longingly at the painting hanging on the wall and said hopefully, "I wish I could receive his praise someday."
Jiang Xu looked at Gu Li again. Gu Li turned her head to look at her painting, then turned back to Jiang Xu and nodded, agreeing with a faint expression.
Jiang Xu lowered his voice and said to the girl, "You've already received it."
The girl was stunned. "Huh?" Her face was blank with shock.
Jiang Xu tapped Gu Li's shoulder with his fingertip, the implication extremely clear. Gu Li looked at the girl, bent down slightly to meet her gaze, and said, "I already complimented you, didn't I?"
The girl's pupils constricted, and she immediately covered her mouth, afraid she would scream.
Gu Li straightened up and patted Jiang Xu on the back. "Let's go, let's go see something else." They waved to the girl and parted ways in the crowd.
The entire art exhibition was more about exchange and interaction, but Gu Li did the opposite. He chatted with Jiang Xu about the gossip of these painters, describing each event as if he had experienced it himself, in vivid detail.
Jiang Xu listened with great interest, "How do you know so much?"
Gu Li said, "My father said that if you know yourself and your enemy, you will never be defeated. So I just looked into it and later found it interesting and started reading it like a storybook."
Jiang Xu chuckled, "That's really impressive."
They chatted and laughed throughout the entire art exhibition, making it a very relaxed experience. At the end, they ran into the girl again in front of the artist's standee, and the girl became excited the moment she saw them.
She walked over, pen and paper in hand, her voice trembling with excitement, "Pear..."
Gu Li gestured for him to shush, and the girl suddenly realized what was happening and spoke again, "Hello teacher, could you sign your name for me? Anything is fine, it's all good."
Gu Li looked at the small piece of paper. The girl's hand was still trembling slightly, as if the paper was about to fall. But when he reached for it, he found that the girl was holding it very tightly. "Didn't you want to sign it? Now you don't want it anymore?" he joked.
