Gentle, rational, and inwardly strong gong (Jiang Xu) vs. genius, madman, emotionally stunted shou (Gu Li).
Jiang Xu was reborn, and coincidentally, the person he was reborn as was also named...
The vase arrived around 10 p.m. that night. Jiang Xu glanced at the message from his boss and got up. The phone on the sofa beeped with a message notification.
Jiang Xu opened the door, and there was a beautifully packaged box on the ground. He bent down to pick it up, and as he stood up, he glanced at the closed door next door.
Jiang Xu and Gu Li had only parted ways not long ago, and the bottle of wine from their bet, which ended in a tie, was placed on the empty shelf of the wine rack, which seemed particularly fitting.
They didn't drink; they spent the night chatting soberly.
At this moment, Jiang Xu wondered if he should knock on that door, look at the vase with the other person, and arrange the flowers together.
He smiled and shook his head, perhaps the timing wasn't quite right yet.
Jiang Xu closed the door, picked up the bouquet of flowers from the entryway, and went to the balcony.
One rose after another was placed into the vase until the last one was used. Jiang Xu carefully examined the finished product and realized he had made another discovery.
The painting on the vase seems to have been created specifically for this rose, allowing it to bloom once again, beautiful in a subtle yet luxurious way.
What a thoughtful and considerate person, yet she hides her sweet heart with an absolutely deceptive exterior. Jiang Xu felt a little craving for sweets.
He placed the vase in a very conspicuous position, waiting for Gu Li's next visit.
Only then did I pick up the phone and take a look.
Boss: This vase is truly a rare and excellent piece. Are you satisfied with the dry firing result?
Boss: Please let me know next time you come, and this will never happen again.
Boss: The other person has already been dismissed. Should we give some advice to the other shops?
Jiang Xu: Don't do anything unnecessary. What are you trying to figure out?
Boss: No, no, no, I was just being nosy. What about that contract?
Jiang Xu: As usual, you will receive it tomorrow.
After replying to the message, he exited the chat interface. As for the contract, Jiang Xu had it drafted after the ceramics master made those sarcastic remarks, and sent it to the ceramics shop owner when Gu Li was almost finished drawing.
Jiang Xu is a reserved person, but he is actually extremely protective of his own. If he overhears something that shouldn't be said, he will quietly let the water be drained. Fish will feel uncomfortable if they are out of water.
But Jiang Xu wouldn't go that far; he has a clear sense of proportion.
He can make people lose their jobs, but he won't make them starve.
After looking at the signed contract, he sent it to the shop owner.
Jiang Xu made a small investment; it was just a very ordinary exchange of interests.
Jiang Xu looked at the vase again, his gaze falling on the signature. The character "pear" was followed by a fingerprint. He smiled and thought, "It's quite pretty."
The next morning, when Jiang Xu opened his door, another door opened as well. He turned his head and happened to meet Gu Li's gaze.
Gu Li waved the textbook in her hand. "What a coincidence, you're going to class too?"
Jiang Xu: "If you're not fully awake, you can go back to sleep. You won't recognize your classmates then?"
Gu Li said, "I'm only thinking about my new neighbor. Oh, classmate, don't be jealous, I'm thinking about yours."
Jiang Xu, “…” He threw the book in his hand at the other person, “You monster, where did you hide my classmate?”
Gu Li caught the book with his hand. "Your classmate..." He stopped abruptly and then turned to look at Jiang Xu.
Jiang Xu naturally heard the words "classmate," and looked at Gu Li with a smile, "Hmm? Classmate..."
His response was the sound of the door closing.
Gu Li leaned against the door, her hand on her forehead, thinking to herself, "I'm so stupid. Am I really not fully awake?"
Jiang Xu stood in front of Gu Li's door and rang the doorbell. "What are you hiding for? Aren't you going to class?"
Gu Li said, "I suddenly feel sleepy. I'm going to sleep a little longer. You can go ahead."
Jiang Xu: "No, you're awake."
Gu Li: "No, I'm not awake."
Jiang Xu said, "Then give me back my book and I'll leave."
Gu Li said, "You go first. I'll take it to you. You're welcome."
Jiang Xu: "No, I'm afraid you won't come to class."
Gu Li said, “I will definitely come,” and then raised his voice a little more, “It’s authentic.”
Jiang Xu didn't answer, but rang the doorbell again. After the doorbell finished ringing, he said, "Brother Li, open the door."
Gu Li flung open the door. "Fine, fine, here you go. Go to class now."
He handed over the book, but Jiang Xu reached out and grabbed Gu Li's wrist. With a clever move, he pulled Gu Li out of the room and then hooked his foot to close the door behind him.
Gu Li, “…” Okay, okay, he’d been fooled.
Jiang Xu: "You're already out here, it would be a waste to go back to sleep. The early bird catches the worm, so go to school, good neighbor."
Gu Li, "Your neighbor isn't doing too well right now."
Jiang Xu asked, "What's wrong?" He glanced at Gu Li's face. "You look amazing, there's nothing wrong with you at all. Are the books too heavy?" He took the two books directly from her.
Gu Li said, "How thoughtful! My heart, which has been frozen for so many years, has warmed up instantly. I feel much better now."
Jiang Xu smiled. "Let's go then, Elsa."
Gu Li: "Okay, Bai Xue."
Jiang Xu, "Why am I Bai Xue?"
Gu Li said, "This is the only one I remember," as he pressed the down button on the elevator. "It suits you quite well, you're quite fair-skinned."
Jiang Xu: "Not as fair-skinned as you."
Gu Li: "That won't work, I'm Elsa now."
The two arrived at the classroom quite early today, and their familiar seats were still empty.
Lu Lianlian glanced at the door every now and then, and when she turned around and saw it this time, she breathed a sigh of relief, "They're here, they're here."
