Gentle, rational, and inwardly strong gong (Jiang Xu) vs. genius, madman, emotionally stunted shou (Gu Li).
Jiang Xu was reborn, and coincidentally, the person he was reborn as was also named...
Upon hearing the question, Liu Xian blurted out, "Those two are my classmates, and one of them is my roommate. But don't let their decent appearance fool you, they're not exactly friendly. Bingbing, you absolutely must not pay any attention to them."
Hu Bingbing nodded and said with a smile, "I know, I heard you call one of them Jiang Xu, he's your roommate, right?"
Liu Xian, “I told you this when I was learning to drive. That guy used to be incredibly timid and cowardly, but this semester he seems to have taken some kind of medicine and become a completely different person.”
Hu Bingbing said with a smile, "Oh, I see. Actually, our drama club is short-handed and we wanted them to help out, but unfortunately they were unwilling." Her tone was regretful.
Liu Xian immediately declared, "I'm here to help you, Bingbing."
Hu Bingbing: "That's wonderful, thank you so much, Liu Xian."
Liu Xian looked at the other person with surprise, "You actually remember my name? I haven't seen you in a long time since I practiced driving, I thought you had forgotten."
Hu Bingbing: "How could that be?"
Of course she would remember the names of the fish in the pond, and she still had many questions to ask the fish.
Gu Li followed Jiang Xu and asked, "Am I late? You already have a club you want to join?"
Jiang Xu: "You're not late. I took a few steps and saw members of that club passing by. They looked good, so I decided to go check them out."
Jiang Xu was referring to the student council. He had witnessed how the student council members managed these clubs. He wouldn't have joined just because of that, but what he had just experienced made him realize that there was nothing more convenient than being able to directly control the other party.
He always liked to have people under his thumb, and he remembered that Liu Xian was also a club president, which was quite amusing.
Gu Li, "How good is it?"
Jiang Xu: "It's alright now, but it will be great when I become the president of the club."
Gu Li smiled and said, "Wow, that's impressive."
After the two arrived at the location, Jiang Xu went up to get the forms. The student union is a more formal school-level organization, and there were many people queuing up.
Gu Li stood idly to the side, waiting for Jiang Xu. He watched Jiang Xu stand in the line, so outstanding that he could be spotted at a glance. The sunlight enveloped him, and Gu Li was somewhat dazed by him.
Jiang Xu: "Thank you."
The young woman who gave him the form asked, "Would you like to add my contact information?"
Jiang Xu: "No need, I've already joined the group."
"Okay, I look forward to your successful interview."
Jiang Xu returned with the forms and smiled at Gu Li, "What are you looking at so intently?"
Gu Li said, "The weather is really nice today."
Jiang Xu said, "That's a bit of a pity." He looked up at the sky. "The interview is being held indoors."
Gu Li said, "It's no pity, I've seen enough." He stared at Jiang Xu in the sunlight for a long time, the vibrant figure of the young man still lingering on his retina. "Let's go, we'll have to go through several rounds of interviews with the student council."
The student council will conduct three rounds of interviews. The first interview is this afternoon, while the second and final interviews will be held this weekend.
The first interview was a self-introduction followed by a question-and-answer session. Jiang Xu didn't know how long the interviews for other clubs took, but the student council interviews were definitely taking longer.
It took almost 10 minutes for a student to come out after going in; I don't know if it was because the self-introduction took too long or because they were asked too many questions.
When Jiang Xu entered, he saw five students in formal attire sitting down below, holding pens and paper and writing something. He walked up to the podium and waited to begin.
Jiang Xu wasn't nervous at all. What was the process like? He just chatted with his peers, got to know them, and made some promises.
Jiang Xu is a born businessman. He is invincible in business negotiations and has honed his skills in deceiving people and making empty promises to perfection.
"Let me introduce myself first."
Jiang Xu's introduction was not brief. He knew that the people who had been interviewed before must have prepared a lot. After a brief introduction, he began to talk at length, chatting about everything under the sun, and finally smoothly circled back to the beginning, ending his self-introduction, which was neither too long nor too short.
At the beginning of his speech, people below occasionally looked up at him, but after 30 seconds, all five of them looked at him seriously. The expressions on their faces gradually changed from confusion to focus, until they were still eager for more.
"Thank you, that concludes my self-introduction." Jiang Xu combined his real-life experiences and entrepreneurial ventures, leaving the others somewhat bewildered, while he maintained a composed and polite smile.
The following questions were entirely based on his self-introduction, and it wasn't until he walked out that no one realized what was happening.
"I didn't get to ask any of the questions I prepared."
"Me too, but I inexplicably feel that I have gained a lot."
"Xiaobai just messaged me saying there's someone nice, and I didn't believe it at first, but it really feels like I'm being led by the nose."
Jiang Xu deliberately left clues in his self-introduction. He didn't like being asked trivial questions, so he preferred to choose the questions himself.
Gu Li and the others stood not far away, watching Jiang Xu walk over. "Should we add this one, or should we think about it some more?"
Jiang Xu: "Let's take another look. Don't you have anything that interests you?"
Gu Li waved her hand, "If you want someone else who's free, I'll keep you company. The student council is too busy."
Jiang Xu said with a smile, "Okay, I know you're very busy." He pointed downstairs and said, "Let's go."
Jiang Xu didn't really plan to add anything, since there weren't many things he was interested in, and even joining the student council seemed like a joke.
Gu Li: "We're of the same social standing, I won't allow it."
Jiang Xu paused for a moment, then asked, "What's not allowed?" Gu Li's question came out of nowhere, and he didn't quite get it.
Gu Li turned her head and gave Jiang Xu a smile, "I won't allow you to look down on yourself."
The two happened to pass by the window. Jiang Xu looked at the man's amber pupils, which were even more translucent in the sunlight, sparkling with an exceptionally bright light. "Okay," he replied, "If you're not light, how can I be?"
Gu Li: "I'm not heavy, my weight is normal."
Jiang Xu was quite accepting of this person's tendency to change the subject so easily. "Hmm, not too light, not too heavy, just right."
The two strolled around casually, looking left and right, but showed no intention of seriously approaching to ask any questions.
When Jiang Xu saw the painting club, he stopped and patted Gu Li on the shoulder as she continued walking. "Go take a look at that."
Gu Li nodded. "You're interested in painting?"
Jiang Xu, "Aren't you interested?"
Gu Li: "No, what I mean is, I can teach you, which is much more reliable than the club."
Jiang Xu: "I know, what I mean is, are you interested in this club?"
The wind carried Jiang Xu's words to Gu Li's ears, and for the first time, his reaction was so slow as he tried to decipher the meaning behind the other's words.
Finally, he carefully asked, "What if I'm interested?"
