Gentle, rational, and inwardly strong gong (Jiang Xu) vs. genius, madman, emotionally stunted shou (Gu Li).
Jiang Xu was reborn, and coincidentally, the person he was reborn as was also named...
“There’s no one else in this class with the surname Jiang, and no one with a similar pronunciation. Are you Jiang Xu or Jiang Xu?” Gu Li asked in a deep voice, her eyes unwavering. “Jiang Xu.”
“It really is…” Jiang Xu rubbed his forehead, half of his hand covering his eyes. His emotions were overwhelming, concealing the aggressive look in his eyes caused by Gu Li’s deliberately lowered voice. After calming down for two seconds, he said, “It’s not fixed yet, it will be in a couple of days.”
"You didn't just change it now, did you? Why are you covering it up? Are you shy?" Gu Li put her hand on Jiang Xu's wrist and pulled it down a couple of times. "Aren't you not used to not having bangs? Weren't you planning to get a haircut too? Not the front?"
Jiang Xu lowered his hand without hesitation, his expression unchanged. "So many questions? Just think of it as the rising sun, okay?"
“Okay,” Gu Li said, his previous questioning gone. His emotions rose and fell quickly. The doctors couldn’t see anything wrong with him. Gu Li always did what he thought of. He considered himself, at most, to be an extreme liberal. “What else?”
Jiang Xu said in one breath, "I'm not shy, I'm used to it, it's going to be cut, and it's cut very well."
Gu Li said, “It’s fine.” He nodded seriously. “Alright, I’m fine now.”
"Is that all? No more agonizing over it?" Jiang Xu watched as the person turned to look at the blackboard, looking like he was about to pay attention, but he just couldn't resist interrupting him.
How could he bother me? I've spent all my time with him, and he doesn't even bother to chat with me?
Gu Li: "Mm."
"I have a question." Jiang Xu looked at Gu Li, who was looking at the blackboard, with an exceptionally intense gaze.
"Go ahead," Gu Li said, still avoiding eye contact.
Jiang Xu didn't answer, he just stared at the person, and Gu Li didn't turn her head, she just stared at the person in front of her, the two seemed to be at odds.
In the end, Jiang Xu won, and Gu Li turned around with an unhappy expression, "Are you looking at the flowers?"
Jiang Xu: "Flowers are nowhere near as interesting as you."
Gu Li: "That's right, but I don't let people see it."
Jiang Xu: "I came to ask a question."
"Okay, it's your treat." Gu Li waved his hand, signaling Jiang Xu to ask a question.
"How old are you?" Jiang Xu was a little unsure what to ask.
"Oh?" Gu Li smiled, looking quite interested. "Your brother is older than you, he's 21."
Jiang Xu, "How did you know I didn't have evening classes?"
Tsk, this body is indeed smaller than this kid. Otherwise, according to Jiang Xu himself, they are the same age, but his birthday is January 1st. It's hard to find someone older than him if they are the same age.
Gu Li: "Doesn't look like it. Tell me, how old are you?"
Jiang Xu, “...20.”
“Come on,” Gu Li beckoned with his finger, “call me Brother Li and let me hear it.”
"Who calls whom 'brother' is still uncertain." Jiang Xu tapped the pad of Gu Li's outstretched finger and gently pressed it down. "Why are you acting like everyone's 'brother'?"
"Why not? I'm definitely older than you." Gu Li grasped Jiang Xu's fingers, squeezed them briefly, and then released them. "Is that all you're asking?"
Jiang Xu said, "Of course not," then paused before continuing, "Why did you transfer classes?"
"It was arranged by someone else." Gu Li clearly didn't want to say more.
Jiang Xu asked, "Where do you live?" He naturally noticed Gu Li's avoidance of the topic, so he made a joke and asked something that could change the subject.
"Are you checking household registration?" Gu Li glanced at the person out of the corner of her eye.
Just as Jiang Xu knew Gu Li wouldn't answer and was about to ask about school matters, Gu Li spoke up, "Pear Blossom Courtyard." After saying that, Gu Li turned to look at the blackboard, as if she hadn't said anything.
Jiang Xu heard it clearly. He paused for a moment, then curled one corner of his lips into a smile that remained impassive.
"Which Li?" The question seemed to come out of his mouth without thinking.
Gu Li replied calmly, "Of course it's the 'pear' in 'pear blossom'."
Jiang Xu looked at the man's red hair, and the smile that appeared on his face deepened. This was indeed much more interesting than he had imagined.
The conversation between the two ended there, and the not-so-important class meeting also came to a good close.
When the teacher said "It's over," three people seemed overly impatient compared to the calm demeanor of the others.
"Ugh, why are you pushing and shoving!"
"My books! What are you doing?!"
The noise wasn't noticeable when the bell rang for the end of get out of class. Wang Bing and two others quickly squeezed out of their seats and walked straight in one direction.
"Jiang Xu!" The man's voice was rough, as if he hadn't properly protected his voice during puberty, making it easy to recognize. It was Wang Bing's voice.
Wang Bing isn't tall, so as if he wanted to compensate in other ways, he developed an exaggeratedly muscular physique.
Jiang Xu looked at the person walking over and noticed that the person's less-than-ideal physique, which reminded him that he should go to the gym to work out and improve his physical fitness.
Now that the body you've taken over is healthy, it's naturally better to train to your previous level.
Gu Li glanced at the three people who were walking over, and his original intention to get up and leave changed. He then sat up in a more comfortable position.
Jiang Xu naturally noticed Gu Li's little movements. He blinked a few times. He was standing there and could see the top of Gu Li's red hair. The hair that he had just seen in the sun was now sitting quietly, waiting to see what kind of show would unfold, just like its owner.
Now that there are viewers, Jiang Xu has no intention of disappointing them.
The three walked quickly and soon arrived beside Gu Li.
The three exchanged glances, their true intentions ulterior motives. They were calling out to Jiang Xu, but what they really wanted to secretly seduce was Gu Li.
Gu Li looked at the blackboard in front of him, and the three of them turned to look as well. There wasn't a single word on the blackboard. Wang Bing, who was standing at the front, twitched his lips. How could he possibly join the conversation?
Wang Bing also thought of the rumored Gu Li, who was indeed extremely difficult to understand.
A second-generation scion of a powerful and wealthy family, who acts as he pleases, possesses exceptional talent and appearance. If one were to befriend such a person, their own family could certainly advance further.
Wang Bing thought for a moment but couldn't find a way to break through the seated man, so he turned his attention to Jiang Xu, the little grass he looked down on.
He sized up Jiang Xu a few more times. When did this kid get involved with Gu Li? He'd turned into this intimidating figure in just one vacation.
But he felt at ease. No matter how his appearance changed, this kid was still the same good-for-nothing.
Jiang Xu took in Wang Bing's expression. He had seen many monsters and demons during his year in the hospital, and someone like Wang Bing was nothing to him.
"How dawdling," Jiang Xu said, seeing the other person still hesitating.
"Xiao Wang, what do you want?"
His eyebrows and eyes were strikingly handsome, his smile gentle, but his words were utterly blunt.
