Chapter 42: Disgraceful

When we came out of the amusement park, it was almost dark outside and the clouds were very low, a sign of impending storm.

Pushing open the revolving door, I heard the melodious and pleasant sound of cello. I followed the waiter upstairs and pushed open the door of the private room. The fragrance of flowers filled my nose. The floor-to-ceiling windows next to the sofa overlooked the entire city.

By the time all the dishes were served, Zhuzhu had already started to doze off, her eyes were dazed and half asleep.

Xu Chunian put the cooled food in a bowl for her. Zhuzhu stuffed the food into her mouth with a spoon. She was so sleepy that she could hardly open her eyes. However, when she received the food from Xu Chunian, she still squinted her eyes and smiled at her. After swallowing the food in her mouth, Zhuzhu put down the spoon and nodded her little head.

Xu Chunian was amused by her. She put down her chopsticks and stretched out her hands to hold her chubby little face. Jiang Huaixu pushed the plate in front of Xu Chunian, and then picked up Zhuzhu and put her on the sofa next to her.

Xu Chunian lowered her head and saw a plate of peeled shrimp meat. She pursed her lips and looked at the table in front of her, most of which were her favorite dishes.

When he sat back down, Xu Chunian picked up the ribs in front of him and quickly put them in his bowl, "Eat more, you haven't eaten much."

The man paused, then looked normal and began to eat slowly.

Coming out of the private room again, Jiang Huaixu carried Zhuzhu into the elevator.

Just as the elevator was about to close, a hand stretched out to block it. Xu Chunian looked up inadvertently and was stunned when he saw the person coming. It was Qin Yuan.

She subconsciously turned to look at Jiang Huaixu, and happened to meet his dark and deep eyes.

Qin Yuan didn't seem surprised at all, "Long time no see, Miss Xu."

Although he was greeting Xu Chunian, his eyes were always on Jiang Huaixu.

"It hasn't been long. I saw him at the last banquet." Xu Chunian retorted.

"Really?" Qin Yuan raised his eyebrows. "It feels like a long time since we last met. That's what Miss Xu told me."

As soon as the words fell, the temperature in the small space began to drop.

Xu Chunian was almost annoyed by him, like a butterfly.

Qin Yuan had no intention of letting her go. "Just because I ignored you for a few days, you are so cold to me? I am very sad that you are like this, Miss Xu."

He pretended to cover his chest, and his eyes seemed to have their own electricity.

"Mr. Qin, I'm really sorry that my previous behavior and some remarks have caused you to misunderstand." Xu Chunian said while glancing at Jiang Huaixu.

But the man didn't even look at her.

"You've been chasing me for a year, what's that?" Qin Yuan looked hurt, "You just gave up when you said you would."

"I am bewildered."

"You said before that I'm ten times more handsome than..." He glanced at Jiang Huaixu vaguely.

"I am blind."

Xu Chunian was speechless and choked.

Fortunately, the elevator stopped at this time.

With a "ding" sound, the elevator door opened, and Jiang Huaixu walked out first holding Zhuzhu.

Before Xu Chunian could catch up, her wrist was grabbed. Xu Chunian's delicate eyebrows bulged, "Isn't this a bit disgraceful?"

"Giving up so easily is not like your style, Miss Xu." Qin Yuan looked at her with a smile.

"Let go!" Xu Chunian tried to shake it off but failed. "I...ah!"

Before she could finish her words, she was suddenly pulled away by a strong force and bumped into the man's broad chest. The smell in his arms was clear and familiar. Xu Chunian looked up and saw Jiang Huaixu who had returned.
