The gauges on the dashboard spiked at a visible speed. The wheels screeched wildly against the ground, kicking up clouds of dust.

The distant cliffs drew ever closer, the roar of waves crashing against the rocks deafening. As the car sped up, the white spray at the cliff's edge became increasingly clear, each slap like a countdown heartbeat.
