The first time Mo Xiaoqing saw Ji Muhan was in a coffee shop with a "superb atmosphere."
Those clear, bright eyes, tinged with a hint of allure, left a deep impression on her heart.
"I know that in your eyes, everything I do is rude," Mo Qing said, her voice muffled, as if she were a hedgehog covered in quills. Her heart ached, her nose felt sore, and her voice was hoarse.
“Since you hate me so much, what good is there for us? This time I don’t need you to chase me away. I have legs now, I can walk by myself. I don’t need you to inform my brother. I will go and apologize myself.”
"You don't need to use my brother to pressure me. I don't need you, and I'll get out of here right away!" Mo Qing deliberately emphasized the last two words, clearly still holding a grudge against Ji Muhan for those two words she had said to her before!
Mo Qing has this kind of personality: she has clear likes and dislikes. When she loves, she can be as passionate as a moth drawn to a flame, and nothing can stop her. In her eyes, she judges people, not things. Even if the person she likes doesn't like her at all, she can still not care.
But when she doesn't love someone, then she truly doesn't love them. Although... she can't reach that level yet, one can imagine that if what she said truly came from her heart, then she might very well really not love him anymore...
Ji Muhan's usually cool and calm eyes flashed with obvious anger. After taking a few deep breaths, she forced herself to calm down and said in an icy tone, "Don't try to argue. You're just being unreasonable!"
The whole story about him using her brother to pressure her was just her own imagination!
Not only did they do something wrong, but they also showed no remorse. Their self-righteous attitude was simply ridiculous!
Aside from Qiao Qian'an, with whom she had always bickered, when had anyone else ever treated Mo Qing like this, especially Ji Muhan, whom she liked so much? In a fit of anger, she blurted out, "It was my own stupidity, my own arrogance, my own self-degradation. I caused you trouble. I'm sorry. Don't worry, from now on, you will never need to see me again, and you will never need to feel annoyed again."
What does it mean to willingly degenerate?
What do you mean by calling her stupid?
So is she regretting liking me?
So liking herself makes her feel ashamed, like she's degrading herself?
"So, your affection is so cheap!" Ji Muhan was so angry that his lungs felt like they were about to explode. He couldn't think of anything else to say. The usually calm and composed man actually uttered these words in anger.
Even after he finished, he immediately regretted it. When he looked at Mo Qing again, the words of apology he wanted to say were stuck in his throat, and he couldn't utter a single word.
Mo Qing's eyes reddened with anger at his words, tears welling up in her eyes. She raised her hand and slapped him hard across the face without any mercy. The loud slap echoed in the large office.
Ji Muhan didn't dodge, and just stood there taking the slap. His handsome and aloof profile was instantly left with a small, bright red handprint from Mo Qing's slap.
It instantly ruined much of the ethereal beauty on his handsome face.
Mo Qing was clearly stunned for a moment. She had never expected that Ji Muhan would not dodge at all. Her right palm, which had just landed, was still a little numb and painful, and even trembling slightly. She was obviously frightened by her own impulsiveness.
She took a deep breath and slowly suppressed the regret and heartache in her heart.
He was heartbroken and wanted to ask him if he was in pain, but Mo Qing was a delicate person, and once she got angry, she wouldn't calm down for a while.
So no matter how much she regretted slapping him, she still chose to save face. In her mind, she had finally made a scene, and she couldn't just apologize to him and end the matter because she was heartbroken.
How embarrassing would that be for her?! (⊙o⊙) Wow…
Ji Muhan's voice was cold and indifferent. Even with a slap mark on his face, it did not affect his handsomeness. His godlike, slightly cool gaze was fixed on her with unusual determination. "If you apologize, I can pretend that today's events never happened and let it all go."
Mo Qing looked up again, her gaze filled with obvious disappointment. Her voice was hoarse to the extreme, each word seeming to torment his heart, "Ji Muhan, you bastard!"
All he cares about is making her apologize! He can't stop talking about apologizing in three sentences!
But she didn't understand what she had done wrong to make him keep pressing her like this.
Mo Qing's hot tears slid down her cheeks silently, without making a sound. She stared straight at him, but the tears in her eyes were like a burst dam, unstoppable!
Even after yelling those words at him, she ran away without looking back.
Ji Muhan wanted to speak to her to keep her, but her lips felt as heavy as a thousand pounds, and she couldn't open her mouth no matter what she did.
He could only watch helplessly as she ran out of the office; the sound of the door closing was so heavy it felt like a heavy blow to his heart, making his heart ache terribly.
Mo Qing's last words felt like knives slowly torturing his heart, especially her last look, which seemed to tear his usually calm and composed heart apart, leaving it bleeding...
Her voice was no longer in his ears, and she was no longer in the office. It took him a long while to react, staring in disbelief at his outstretched right hand that had fallen short. Sometimes, even someone so close can slip through your fingers…
He clearly didn't want to lose his temper with her; he clearly had been suppressing his temper; he clearly just wanted to reprimand her for saying certain things carelessly.
But why did he hurt her so much? It turns out that no matter how well he pretended, no matter how calm and composed he appeared in front of Allen and the others, he couldn't hide the truth... His heart was churning violently. It turned out that deep down, he really didn't want her to get close to any man...
