The first time Mo Xiaoqing saw Ji Muhan was in a coffee shop with a "superb atmosphere."
Those clear, bright eyes, tinged with a hint of allure, left a deep impression on her heart.
The capital city is much colder, especially as the Lunar New Year approaches, when it always takes several snowfalls to celebrate the holiday.
The temperature here seems a bit low. Although it's not unbearable for Mo Qing, she's still used to the temperature in Lindu. Coming back here for the first time, she just wanted to wrap herself up in a blanket like a silkworm.
Auntie noticed Mo Qing unconsciously touching her arms and asked with some concern, "Are you cold?"
Mo Qing was taken aback. "It's alright."
"The heating in the house seems to have broken down these past two days. I've already called someone to come and fix it, and it should arrive in the next couple of days. Then it won't be so cold anymore."
"Don't worry, I'm just a little unaccustomed to it right now," Mo Qing immediately reassured her.
“I know, the air in the capital is naturally warmer than here, it’s normal to feel uncomfortable at first. Go up and put on a coat, you can’t catch a cold, if you catch a cold at this time, I’m afraid it will take a while to get better.”
"Okay, I'll go upstairs and put on more clothes now." Mo Qing nodded obediently, her expression utterly compliant.
She went upstairs after finishing. She wasn't used to the air here, so it was good to wear more clothes so she wouldn't catch a cold and feel uncomfortable!
She looked at her aunt with a gentle expression. She had always liked girls and had really wanted to have a daughter. However, after having three sons, she no longer had the energy to have any more children.
So she simply put the idea aside. Later, after Momo was born, she doted on her almost like her own daughter.
Mo Qing rummaged through the closet, found a white coat, put it on, and skipped downstairs.
She peeked around and found that her mother and father were still not there.
“Your mother went out. You know that your mother and father haven’t been back to Beijing for a long time. Their friends invited them to get together, so they won’t be back for a while.”
Mo Qing nodded knowingly and smiled at him, "Oh, why haven't I seen them all morning?"
"Come, come, chat with your aunt."
"good."
Mo Qing was very obedient in front of her elders. The Mo family's motto was that one must respect elders and remember that one is a junior in front of elders and cannot talk back to them casually.
She sat down obediently next to her, and then immediately noticed the stack of photos in her aunt's hand.
"What is this?" Mo Qing blinked, a thought flashing through her mind. She tilted her head, pretending not to understand, and looked at her aunt with a blank expression.
Aunt smiled and explained gently, "I introduced him to Xinze. You know your older brother's personality. If I let him continue like this, it's not impossible that he'll remain unmarried and a bachelor for the rest of his life."
"But this?" Mo Qing had already roughly guessed her aunt's intentions.
However, it's not entirely certain whether my aunt's thoughts are the same as her understanding.
"These are photos of those girls."
Mo Qing smiled sweetly and nodded, her eyes crinkling, "Oh."
"Which one do you think looks better?" Her aunt asked her lovingly, seeking her opinion.
"Me?" Mo Qing pointed at herself with a surprised expression.
"Yes," Auntie said, "I love the way Mo Qing's pretty face changes expression the most; it's so cute and adorable."
“You know your older brother’s personality; he’s not in a hurry at all in this regard. If I don’t push him, I’m afraid I won’t live to see him get married.”
Mo Qing refused with a bright smile, "But, it's not certain that my brother will like what I'm looking for!"
How could I let her come to see this whole process of finding a wife?
"Then you should give me some advice. I've been collecting these photos for your older brother, and I'm getting dizzy from picking so many people. Now everyone looks the same to me."
"Pfft." Mo Qing couldn't help but laugh out loud.
Of course, women naturally think all women are pretty much the same.
Unable to resist her aunt's insistence, Mo Qing could only glance at the photos perfunctorily, taking a general look at them.
Her aunt asked her anxiously, "What do you think? Which one do you prefer?"
“I think they’re all great! Besides, Auntie, weren’t you going to introduce them to my brother? I might think they’re good, but my brother might not like them. So, it’s best if he decides to see for himself.”
If it really came down to Mo Qing, she really didn't know how to choose. The photos her aunt brought showed girls who were all from prominent families and had excellent upbringing.
With gentle eyes and a smile on her lips, she clearly has a gentle nature.
Actually, if she were to come, given her brother's calm and gentle nature, a refined and elegant young man like him, he would need a cheerful and outgoing girl.
However, she also felt it was not good. From her aunt's perspective, it would be better for the daughter-in-law of the Mo family to have the demeanor of a great family. After all, Mo Xinze was the eldest brother and the eldest uncle's first son. As the eldest daughter-in-law, she would naturally be able to manage the internal affairs of the Mo family.
If it were just about social status, this wouldn't be a concern. However, the problem is that their family isn't ordinary, and the older brother's job is quite unique. If they were to find someone from a similar family background, someone with a broad perspective and who is intelligent and capable in dealing with people, they would be a good match.
This way, the older brother can focus on his work without worrying about the family.
“Your reasoning isn’t entirely unreasonable.” Aunt pondered for a moment, then frowned. “But you know your brother’s temperament. Asking him to go on a blind date is like asking him to die. I only mentioned this to him a couple of months ago, and he just stopped coming back to stay for the past two months and went abroad without a second thought.”
