"Oh no! Xiaobai is here. Okay, you two hurry up and get out of here. Don't forget to say your lines." Ji Shushu pushed Ji Ziqian towards the door.

Bai Xiaoruo happened to arrive at Ji Ziqian's room and saw that the door was not closed and that she could hear Ji Shushu's voice inside. She wanted to go closer to take a look, but she bumped into Ji Ziqian, who was being pushed out by Ji Shushu.

The floor was slippery, and Bai Xiaoruo almost fell backward because she lost her footing in her high heels. Ji Ziqian grabbed her arm first, which happened to be Bai Xiaoruo's injured right hand. She gasped in pain and couldn't muster any strength. She fell awkwardly into Ji Ziqian's arms.

It feels like my wound is about to burst open again, it hurts so much!

Bai Xiaoruo gritted her teeth and endured the pain, daring not to make another sound.

"Xiao Ruo, are you alright? Did I bump you somewhere and hurt you?"

Although Bai Xiaoruo didn't make a sound, Ji Ziqian still noticed the fleeting look of pain on her face. Her face was pale, not the pinkish-white she had after putting on makeup, as if she was experiencing some physical discomfort.

"No, I'm fine." Bai Xiaoru forced a smile, steadied herself, and kept her distance from Ji Ziqian.

She absolutely must not let Ziqian find out that she has an injury on her arm.

After Bai Xiaoruo regained her footing, Ji Ziqian finally took a closer look at her current attire.

The clothes I gave her fit her perfectly. She was already very thin, which wasn't usually obvious, but now, upon closer inspection, it was clear that she hadn't lost any weight or become flat where she should have.

Even though she was wearing a thick jacket, you could still feel her curvaceous figure.

The design of this dress is ingenious. The skirt is made of light and thin gauze, revealing a pair of beautiful legs. The stiletto silver high heels with rhinestones add an essential touch of delicacy to the whole outfit.

The dress Ji Shushu chose for Bai Xiaoruo was originally a sexy V-neck halter dress, but Ji Ziqian felt it was too revealing and didn't want Bai Xiaoruo to wear it like that. He preferred to keep her pure and lovely appearance, so he changed it to a long-sleeved dress with finely layered lace, and the V-neck design was changed to an off-the-shoulder style that only exposed her shoulders.

This also conveniently covered the gauze wrapped around Bai Xiaoruo's arm, as well as the wound underneath that had not yet healed.

Her originally long, straight, jet-black hair was transformed into slightly wavy curls by Ji Shushu, and a small lake-blue flower hair clip added a finishing touch of beauty.

Ji Shushu's makeup wasn't heavy, nor was it particularly light. The orange-red lipstick she wore accentuated her naturally gentle and sweet temperament to the fullest.

Bai Xiaoruo already had a good foundation, and with this outfit, she looked really beautiful. However, she rarely dressed up herself, and because of her high myopia, she often wore thick black-rimmed glasses. Her hunched back made her less noticeable, so people often overlooked the fact that this ordinary ugly duckling would one day become a swan.

"Xiao Ruo, this outfit... suits you very well, you look beautiful." Ji Ziqian stared at her, his eyes wide with admiration.

She was indeed the girl I had admired since childhood; she was breathtakingly beautiful.

Whoever has such a wonderful woman has truly struck gold.

"Thank you." Bai Xiaoruo felt a little embarrassed by Ji Ziqian's stare.

Ji Ziqian was worried that Bai Xiaoruo's high heels were too high and she might fall, so he gentlemanly took her hand and led her downstairs.

As they hurried downstairs, they ran into Ji's mother, who was about to go upstairs to rest. Looking at Bai Xiaoruo's dramatic transformation, she exclaimed in admiration, "Xiaoruo, you're so beautiful! Auntie almost didn't recognize you. You two go and have fun. Ziqian, you'd better be a good protector. Xiaoruo is so beautiful today, don't let someone else steal her away."

"Mom, don't worry, I will."

Listening to their conversation, Bai Xiaoruo didn't know what to say.

Now, even Auntie might start to think that she and Ziqian are a couple.

Ji Ziqian opened the car door for Bai Xiaoruo first, and then he went around to the other side of the car and got in.

Bai Xiaoruo had already fastened her seatbelt. She was looking forward to today's trip. "Brother Ziqian, where are we going now?"

"Let's go to a beautiful, quiet place, a place I pass by every day on my way to work."

"Oh, then why don't we get out of the car and walk? Is it far from here?"

"It's not far, but I don't want you to walk too much and tire your feet. We have a lot to go to today, so we can't use up all our energy at once."

"Alright then, I'll do whatever you say."

After a short five-minute drive, Ji Ziqian brought Bai Xiaoruo to a flower field nearby.

Actually, it was quite strange for her to be dressed in such a formal outfit in a place like this. Ji Ziqian held her hand tightly, afraid that Bai Xiaoruo might twist her ankle in the high heels. He didn't really want her to wear these kinds of shoes, but he couldn't pair this outfit with flat shoes. The shoes were also chosen by Ji Shushu. Although Bai Xiaoruo did look very beautiful, Ji Ziqian still couldn't help but feel sorry for her.

"Xiao Ruo, if your feet get tired or uncomfortable, just tell me. We don't necessarily have to explore the whole place."
