When Aunt Qin finished setting the dishes and came out of the kitchen, she saw Xuan Mingyu and Bai Xiaoruo hugging each other affectionately. Seeing how good their relationship was, Aunt Qin was happy for them.

"Just put on another coat upstairs, and then you can go out."

Xuan Mingyu released Bai Xiaoruo from his arms and helped her stand up.

"I'm already wearing enough, do I have to wear more?" Bai Xiaoruo was already sweating from the heat just from the two sweaters she was wearing.

"Of course, it's much colder outside than inside."

Keeping warm is the most important thing for pregnant women. Bai Xiaoruo's constitution is already weaker than that of ordinary people, so she needs to pay even more attention.

"All right."

She followed Xian Mingyu back to the room, where two large wardrobes were full of clothes that Xian Mingyu had bought for Bai Xiaoruo before.

They have coats in all colors and styles.

"Wearing a thin layer should be fine, right?"

Bai Xiaoru rummaged through her wardrobe and took out a white knitted cardigan. "I want to wear this."

"No, it will let in a draft."

"Where is there any draft?" It's clearly very thick.

It's just a walk in the backyard, not a shopping trip. Why be so particular? This guy is really troublesome.

Bai Xiaoruo could already foresee the scene of him nagging her for several months during her pregnancy.

He seems to care more about the baby in her belly than she does.

"There's one that suits you better."

What is it?

After searching through the wardrobe for a long time, Xuan Mingyu finally found a large box.

"What is this?" Bai Xiaoruo stepped forward to take a look; she had never seen this before.

Upon opening the box, a white, fluffy rabbit coat lay quietly inside.

The coat was long enough to just cover her bottom, and it had a long, fluffy hat with rabbit ears. There was even a round little tail on the back of the coat. It felt very soft and thick, and it was fluffy inside and out. Even at her age, she didn't look like she was trying to look young.

However... Bai Xiaoruo had absolutely no recollection of this coat.

When was this bought? How come she didn't know?

"Are these my clothes?"

Hsien Mingyu coughed lightly and turned his face away. "I saw it when we were shopping in the US last time, so I bought it on the way back."

There was a mannequin displaying the coat at the store entrance. Bai Xiaoru glanced at it but didn't pay much attention. However, Xuan Mingyu's gaze lingered on it for a few seconds. Later, while she was in the restroom, he went back to the store and bought the coat.

In Xuan Mingyu's memory, Bai Xiaoruo was small in stature, prone to crying, with red eyes and a red nose, looking just like a little rabbit.

I really wanted to see what she would look like in this bunny coat, but I never had the chance to show it to her.

"Just by the way?" Does he really think it's just a casual thing? Bai Xiaoruo picked up the coat and looked at it, unsure if it suited her or not. Would it look strange to wear this out?

"Hurry up and put it on," Xian Mingyu urged her.

Although they are in a room now, Bai Xiaoruo had already taken off a sweater because she was hot earlier. What if she catches a cold wearing so little?

"Okay, I'll try it. Don't laugh at me if it doesn't look good, since you bought it anyway."

With her back to Xian Mingyu, Bai Xiaoruo slowly put on the rabbit coat, zipped it up, and turned around to show him. "Is this okay?"

"Almost there."

Xian Mingyu helped her put on the bunny ear hat on the back of her coat and tied a small bow. She looked up at him with her adorable eyes, round big eyes, fair skin, small nose and mouth, and with this fluffy bunny outfit, she looked so cute, really like a little bunny.

Xuan Mingyu was stunned for a moment, unsure how to answer her.

In the past, he would have had absolutely no interest in little girls or lolis.

Bai Xiaoruo, however, was an exception.

Because she is highly nearsighted, she can't do without those thick black-rimmed glasses most of the time. When they first got married, Xian Mingyu rarely looked at Bai Xiaoruo properly, and he didn't care whether her face was cute and pretty or ugly.

Now, over the past few months, I've had more and more contact with her, and our relationship has grown closer. Only now have I discovered for the first time that this little girl can be so adorable.

"Is it ugly? If it doesn't look good, I'll change it."

He stared at her without saying a word, making Bai Xiaoru a little nervous.

Isn't it strange that this is the first time I've worn such an adorable coat?

As she turned to change her coat, Xuan Mingyu pulled her into his arms again. "No, just wear this. It's cute."

"Huh?" He actually, actually said she was cute!?

Good heavens! Am I dreaming?

Mmm, this feels so wonderful, and I'm so shy...

Seeing the faint blush rising on her fair face, he reached out and cupped her face, then lowered his head and kissed her shyly pursed lips.

Bai Xiaoruo closed her eyes, her hands gripping his shirt tightly, afraid she would lose her balance.

Every time we kiss for a long time, it gets tiring to tilt my head back.

While kissing her, Xian Mingyu picked her up and placed her on the desk, so she wouldn't have to strain to look up and stand on tiptoe anymore.

"Knock knock knock—"

The sudden knocking on the door startled the atmosphere.

The lingering kiss quickly ended, and Bai Xiaoruo shrank her head and hid in Xian Mingyu's arms. Although the door was closed, she was still worried that someone outside would open the door and come in.
