I thought I had soul-shifted but my combat power wasn't impressive at all. Later I realized this was just a glitch from a Time Travel Bureau, I soul-shifted into the year 2020 with some of my m...
My father and Xie Yuancheng didn't even tell my mother and me. Luckily, I can dream now, otherwise Xie Yuancheng would have been in trouble.
My mother's hands were trembling, so I helped her sit down. Qiao'er then carried Yu'er in and said, "Madam, someone has come from outside."
"Ying'er, quickly carry Yu'er behind you."
I took Yu'er from him and lifted the beaded curtain to go inside. Yu'er was laughing beside me. I put my right index finger to his lips and said, "Shh~ Yu'er, be good and don't talk, or we'll all be in trouble."
Yu'er nodded and smiled at me. I gave him the calligraphy practice sheet. There were voices coming from ahead, and Yu'er was attracted by the voices and turned his head to look.
I looked around the room and saw only some peacock feathers. This place was originally just a place to rest occasionally. I noticed that the feathers were very clean, so I took one and gave it to Yu'er to sit on the soft couch to play with.
Yu'er's eyes lit up when she saw something pretty, and she played intently on the soft couch. I put the calligraphy book next to me and was about to go out to look when Qiao'er came in.
"Madam, you are the master's former deputy general. You came to see the master, but you have already sent her to stroll in the garden. Madam asked me to escort you back."
I picked Yu'er up, but he wouldn't let go of the peacock feather. Just as I was about to take it away, he pouted.
"Yu'er, you can only play with it for a little while. This is Grandpa's treasure. If you break it, Grandpa will be sad."
When Yu'er heard that her father was sad, she let go of his hand and said, "Grandpa."
"Yes, Yu'er, please put it back for Grandpa, okay?"
Yu'er nodded, and I carried him to put the peacock feathers in. He looked at the feathers in the corner, reached out to grab them, messed them up, and then put the one he was holding in.
Qiao'er tidied up the calligraphy while I took the calligraphy copybook, picked up Yu'er, and went out. We'll copy it again when we get back.
There are still ten pages left. If I don't copy them down and put them in the study, Dad will definitely nag me when he eats. It's always like this, so I'd better finish writing the remaining ten pages.
Yu'er hugged the calligraphy book and laughed in my arms. I always wanted to touch his soft face. His little belly was round, but his arms and legs weren't very fleshy.
"Ha ha!"
"Yu'er, what are you laughing at? You can be happy just playing with calligraphy books."
"Mommy~ I'm hungry." He touched his round belly, his big eyes staring straight at me. I put my hand on it too; it was soft and squishy.
"I'll give you something delicious to eat later, it's only for Yu'er~"
"Hehe~ Mom~" He started snuggling in my arms again. I was afraid the edge of the calligraphy book would hurt his face, so I held the calligraphy book in my hand and carried him to walk faster.
As soon as I entered, I heard Xizhi laughing. Yu'er heard the sound too, turned her head to look, and then leaned against me.
I patted his back. "Little brother is laughing so happily. Yu'er, do you want to play with your little brother?"
"Little sister!" Yu'er bumped my shoulder unhappily. I was worried that he would hit his head, so I put him on the ground.
He ran straight to Su Ling's cradle as soon as he got downstairs, calling out, "Little sister, Liangliang~"
Su Ling smiled at him, Yu'er smiled too, and Xi Zhi stared at Yu'er, then smiled as well.
Qiao'er brought in the snacks, and I cut them into small pieces for Yu'er, then squatted down beside him to feed him. He was quite something, though; while eating, he kept talking to Su Ling, speaking baby talk that I couldn't understand.
The three of us were having a great time inside with the kids. Yu'er is such a little rascal; she can win by hugging me and acting cute.
"Madam, the princess's child has diarrhea."
I took Yu'er's hand and saw that it was Anxiang: "Why do you have diarrhea? It's hard to find a doctor now. Wan'er, go and take a look."
"yes."
When Yu'er saw Wan'er about to leave, he reached out to pull her back. Wan'er returned and gave the roly-poly toy in her hand to Yu'er: "Young Master, I'll come back and play with you after I've seen the doctor."
Yu'er let Wan'er go as soon as he got the roly-poly toy. He showed off his new toy to me, and I clapped for him and said he was so awesome.
Kids like to be told they're amazing, so you can't scare them, or they'll have problems later.
It was just me and Qiao'er left in the room. I couldn't practice calligraphy anymore, so I played with the three little ones in peace. Xie Yuancheng and I are leaving in a few days. I wish we could have made them smaller.
The little ones were sleepy and wanted to sleep, but luckily Xizhi and Suling fell asleep first, so I didn't need to coax them. They cried once and I held them in my arms, and they fell asleep quickly.
Yu'er looked at the two sleeping little ones, his eyes occasionally glancing at Xizhi, and I knew he liked his younger brother.
"Mommy~" He yawned in my arms too. I picked him up and sang him a lullaby, which I learned in 2020. Yu'er liked listening to it, so he fell asleep quickly.
After calming the three children down, Qiao'er and I leaned against the door and sighed. These three little devils are really not something one person can handle; each one is more mischievous than the last.
I finished writing the rest of the posts while they were asleep, and when Yu'er woke up, I carried him to the study and gave them to his father.
However, neither my father nor my mother were to be seen. I asked the housekeeper, who said that my father and mother had gone out together and would be back later.
They went out without telling me. Yu'er was frowning beside me. The butler said he went to tell me, but seeing me running around with the three children, he didn't say anything.
Yu'er started performing on the side. He waved to the steward and the soldiers standing outside, and they waved back. Just as I was about to carry Yu'er back, Xie Yuancheng came in.
I carefully circled around him, and only when I saw that his clothes, shoes, and face were all in good condition did I feel relieved and let him carry Yu'er away.
"Mommy~ Hug me." Yu'er rarely refused to be hugged by Xie Yuancheng. I laughed at him, saying that he had been out too much and his son no longer recognized him.
“Ying’er, I smell bad. My good son is clean, so of course he doesn’t want to be with me.”
I held Yu'er in my arms and leaned in to smell her: "It really is. I'm starting to dislike her too."
"You dare!"
I ignored him and ran ahead with Yu'er in my arms. Yu'er clapped his hands at Xie Yuancheng from my shoulder, calling out, "Daddy~ Daddy~"
After Xie Yuancheng finished washing up, I started to set a trap for him, testing his limits. However, Yu'er was causing trouble, either pulling on my clothes or hugging Xie Yuancheng's leg, making a huge fuss.
"Yuancheng, if I have another dream, do you want to take my advice?"
"What are you listening to? My father-in-law already told me." Xie Yuancheng held Yu'er in his arms, preventing him from running around.
"You already know, they left so quickly and so mysteriously. This time, Dad even took Mom with him."
"That's why I rushed back, afraid you'd turn the Ji residence upside down." Xie Yuancheng teased Yu'er from the side, and Yu'er quickly grabbed his hand and wouldn't let go.
"How could I? I take good care of three children. Even when Zhao Le's little Jun Jun had diarrhea, I asked Wan'er to take a look. She said that Zhao Le was worried that the child was growing slowly, so she fed him a mixed diet, which caused the diarrhea."
"Ah, Ying'er is the best. She doesn't feed Yu'er random things. He's grown up with very few illnesses."
