Chapter 10 Spend 10

The night lights at the ski resort light up one after another, dyeing the white snow a warm yellow.

Tang Ximian rubbed his aching waist and walked slowly behind Si Yankai.

He had skied all day, which was great, but now he felt like he was falling apart.

"Let's soak in the hot springs to relax later." Si Yankai glanced back at him, "Don't slide for so long next time."

"I see. It's been a while since I last skated, so I'm excited." Tang Ximian touched his nose.

Si Yankai raised his eyebrows: "So I told you to take a break before skating, but you didn't listen?"

"I... I didn't hear it. Yes, I just didn't hear it." Tang Ximian said stubbornly.

Mu Jiu and Mo Ziyan were walking in front and couldn't help laughing when they heard the conversation between the two.

Mu Jiu turned around and jokingly said, "Xi Mian, just admit it. It's going to be hard for you to win against him."

"Who said that!"

Tang Ximian retorted unconvincedly, "Didn't I beat him in the last game, and the one before that, in the game?"

"Indeed." Si Yankai said with a faint smile.

"You let me win?" Mo Ziyan added calmly.

"You! Mo Ziyan!" Tang Ximian was so angry that she jumped up and down. Just as she was about to retort, she suddenly heard a familiar voice behind her.

"What a coincidence!"

The four of them turned around at the same time and saw a tall man walking towards them.

He was wearing a black casual suit, which made his skin look even whiter, his eyebrows and eyes were picturesque, and there was a gentle smile at the corners of his lips.

"It really is you."

The man came closer. "Remember me? We met last night while skiing."

Tang Ximian was stunned for a moment, then remembered the embarrassing thing that happened in the morning, and nodded in response: "It's you..."

"My name is Xu Shen."

The man extended his hand. "I didn't expect to meet you again. It's fate."

"My name is Tang Ximian."

Tang Ximian was about to reach out to shake his hand back when Si Yankai stepped in front of him and looked at Xu Shen coldly: "We are going to the hot springs, go ahead."

Xu Shen's hands froze in mid-air, but he didn't seem annoyed. He kept a proper smile and said, "I'm going too. Why don't we go together?"

"It's inconvenient." Si Yankai refused bluntly.

The atmosphere was a little awkward for a moment.

Seeing this, Mu Jiu quickly stepped forward to smooth things over: "Since we're all going to the hot springs, let's go together. It's more fun with more people."

Si Yankai gave Mu Jiu a warning look, but the latter pretended not to see it and enthusiastically invited Xu Shen to join him.

Tang Ximian was sandwiched in the middle, and felt the air pressure around Si Yankai getting lower and lower, so she couldn't help but move to the side.

The hot spring pool was filled with mist. Tang Ximian had just immersed himself in the water when he heard Xu Shen calling him from the next pool: "Ximian, do you want to come over here? The water temperature is just right."

Before he could answer, Si Yankai pulled him to his side and said, "The water temperature here is also very good."

Tang Ximian was about to retort that it was clearly getting a bit hot in here, but when he turned around, he met his boss Yan Kai's deep eyes, which were filled with emotions he couldn't understand, making him forget what he was going to say for a moment.

Xu Shen chuckled softly: "Mr. Si is really... overprotective of his friends."

"This is a matter between us. Mr. Xu, please don't comment." Si Yankai said coldly.

Mu Jiu and Mo Ziyan were watching the show across the pond with great interest. Mu Jiu leaned over to Mo Ziyan's ear and whispered, "How long do you think Yan Kai can endure this?"

"Five minutes at most." Mo Ziyan said firmly.

Sure enough, in less than three minutes, Si Yankai pulled Tang Ximian up and said, "Let's go back."

"Ah? So early?" Before Tang Ximian could react, Si Yankai pulled her out.

Xu Shen called out from behind: "Xi Mian, let's go skiing together some other day!"

Si Yankai paused, turned around and gave Xu Shen a cold look: "He won't go."

It wasn't until they walked out of the hot spring area that Tang Ximian shook off Si Yankai's hand: "What are you doing?"

"Get dressed and follow me somewhere."
