Chapter 52 It's You, My Aunt

“The rain has stopped!!”

Many children shouted happily.

The adults, however, were not hopeful. "Could it rain again later?"

"It's been raining for so long, it's time to stop."

Upon seeing this, some elderly people knelt down and kowtowed, muttering to themselves.

Jiang Huaixu looked up at the high sky. The originally thick clouds seemed to have dispersed a lot, and the sun seemed to be breaking through the clouds.

The rain is finally over, she thought.

If the flood recedes, they may be able to return to Shili Village.

"Village chief, let's stay in this open space. Find someone to take turns guarding it while we sleep. We can go back to the village after the flood recedes. There's no need to go through so much trouble." Someone said loudly.

Many people echoed this, feeling truly sleepy and exhausted. They had only slept for an hour or two last night, having done nothing but strenuous labor that would break even the strongest of men.

The open space on the east side of the cave is made up of large stones. You can just spread your bedding anywhere and sleep.

Many people have already started doing this.

The village chief looked around. There were only towering trees above his head, and the rocks could not hit him. He would go to sleep after the sun dried the rocks.

"Okay, let's just rest here!" He called a few young men and discussed the matters of duty.

Just when everyone was busy catching up on sleep, the Sun family made quite a commotion again.

"Jiang Erlang, you're a scholar, but you've read so much that it's gone to waste! You actually took advantage of me when I was off guard and bullied me. I don't want to live anymore!"

Sun Pangya sat on the ground, crying sadly.

Jiang Huaixu was delighted when he heard this.

She took two quick steps and came to Sun Pangya. "The one bullying you is me, your aunt. Are you familiar with this strength?"

As she said that, she punched Sun Pangya in the face.

"ah--"

"You little bitch who rides on thousands of people and sleeps with thousands of people, I'm going to fight you!"

Old man Sun staggered and hit Jiang Huaixu.

Jiang Huaixu dodged the wooden stick he swung and kicked him in the side, kicking him several meters away.

It happened to kick the feet of Jiang Erlang who was rushing over, and he raised his foot and stepped directly on the face of old man Sun.

His expression was stern and his tone was dangerous. "Master Sun, go back and clean your mouth, so that I don't have to do it myself."

As he spoke, he pushed hard with his feet and Old Man Sun cried out in pain.

Jiang Huaixu reached into his arms and a dagger appeared in his hand.

"Uncle Village Chief, this is a matter between our two families. Don't worry about it. We can solve it ourselves."

This sentence made the village chief, who was rushing over, stop.

The village chief looked at the Sun family, then at Jiang Huaixu and her cousin's family behind her, and finally stood aside with his hands behind his back without saying a word.

He used to be able to treat everyone equally, but now the Sun family is a burden and has always been restless. It would be best if they could be driven out.

Jiang Huaixu put the dagger against Sun Pangya's neck, and a line of blood slowly appeared under the blade.

Sun Pangya felt the hairs on her body stand on end and she trembled uncontrollably.

She shouted in a timid voice, "Are you crazy, you dumb bastard? You didn't even dare to fart before, but now you dare to—Ah!!"

Jiang Huaixu exerted force, but a smile spread across his face. "I'm only going to say this once. Remember this: get your entire family down the mountain and don't let me see you again. Otherwise, I'll beat you up every time I see you. Do you understand?"

Sun Pangya was shaking all over but she bit her lips tightly and didn't say anything. Jiang Huaixu became impatient and moved the knife to stab Sun Pangya's arm.

"ah--!!"

Someone in the crowd exclaimed and looked at Jiang Huaixu with complicated eyes.

Old Lady Sun was the first to cry out, tears streaming down her face. "No! No! We're going down the mountain right now, right now! Put away your knife!"

She didn't know what sin she had committed. She let her daughter run away without paying attention, and then someone had a handle on her and wanted to kick them out.

Hearing what my mother said, Sun San's eyes flashed with shock, and he looked at his wife.

"Xu Jie'er, the mountain below is flooded. If you drive us away, you're going to kill us. How about this? Dad, Mom, and little sister, we'll watch and make sure it's done. If that doesn't work..."

Sun San looked at his parents, tears welling up in his eyes. "Dad, Mom, why don't you let Pangya go find my eldest and second brothers? Don't worry, my fourth and fifth brothers and I will definitely be filial to you two. When the flood recedes, we can reunite as a family!"

Jiang Huaixu curled the corners of his mouth. It was rare for a family to live like enemies, scheming against each other.

The family's discord was mostly due to the elders' lack of moral integrity. Without her intervention, the Sun family would soon be torn apart. Her intervention would only help speed up the process.

She glanced at everyone in the Sun family. "I'm not discussing this with you, I'm telling you. Death isn't uncommon these days. Think about it carefully."

Sun San suddenly felt that he was in a dilemma. He wanted to follow the people from Shili Village, but he was reluctant to give up the money that Old Man Sun had accumulated over the years.

Boss Jiang stared at Jiang Huaixu as if he were a stranger.

Qian Xiuzhu took a deep breath, raised her hand and pinched Boss Jiang's arm. When he reacted, she glared at him warningly.

Only Jiang Erlang, Jiang Sanlang and Jiang Wei didn't care about Jiang Huaixu's words and deeds.

Jiang Erlang stared at Jiang Huaixu, whom he treated as his sister, and suddenly a strange feeling arose in his heart, as if he saw the shadow of another person in this small body.

"Let's go, can't we just go? Let my Fatty go!"

When Old Mrs. Sun saw her daughter fainted from the pain, she immediately let go without caring about anything.
