Heard the food at construction sites isn't very good?
That's convenient, because I sell lunch boxes right at the entrance of the construction site!
Eight yuan for two meat dishe...
"This home furnishing store can process land use certificates, right? After I buy it, the land use rights will belong entirely to me, right?" Xu An asked to confirm.
"Yes, a land use certificate can be processed, and the right to use the land belongs entirely to you." Hearing this, the real estate agent felt the deal was already half done, and his smile became even more enthusiastic: "Why don't we go to the site and take a look?"
Xu An naturally agreed to the suggestion. Even if the real estate agent hadn't brought it up, Xu An would have insisted on going to the site to see for himself.
After obtaining Xu An's consent, the real estate agent stood up, walked back to his desk, took out a large bunch of keys, pulled one out and put it in his pocket, and led Xu An out of the store.
The two had only taken two steps when they saw three people walking from outside the store. They went straight to the store door, opened it, and went inside.
As the five people brushed past each other, Xu An felt a gaze fall upon him. He followed the gaze and saw a completely unfamiliar young man. In the instant their eyes met, Xu An even caught a fleeting glimpse of hostility in the man's eyes. Although this hostility dissipated quickly, Xu An still managed to notice it.
Does this person know me? When did I see him before? Why do I have no recollection of him at all?
Although he didn't know where the other party's hostility came from, Xu An still took advantage of that brief glance to memorize the young man's appearance, intending to think carefully about when and where he had seen this person when he got back.
All of this happened in the blink of an eye; almost the instant Xu An saw the other person's face clearly, his right foot had already stepped outside the door.
"Were those two also customers interested in the shops on this street?" Xu An asked, feigning curiosity. "Which shop did they fancy? We don't want to make a wasted trip if someone else takes the shop right after we go to look at it."
Xu An's words were full of sarcasm, but the real estate agent didn't take them to heart and replied directly, "They're looking at a shop across from the furniture store, not the same one we're looking at."
"Oh!" Xu An nodded: "I just saw that shop on the map too. It's in a good location, close to the national highway, but it's a bit small. Otherwise, it would be a good choice."
"yes"
Through casual conversation, Xu An managed to extract the identities of the two men from the real estate agent.
One was a fast food restaurant owner with several chain stores and a good business; the other young man was probably a business partner or something, but he didn't have much say. Basically, the fast food restaurant owner made the decisions, but the owner was quite polite to him, so he must have some ability.
Upon hearing that one of the people on the other end was a fast food restaurant owner, Xu An roughly understood the source of their hostility. The rapid rise of Xu's Fast Food Restaurant was bound to affect the interests of some people, with other fast food restaurants in Haishi being the most affected. It was perfectly normal for them to recognize him and dislike him.
However, Xu An was still somewhat bothered by the young man's gaze. The hostility was too obvious and too blatant, and it didn't seem to be just dissatisfaction arising from the common competition in the business world. This made Xu An pay extra attention to it.
As they spoke, the two arrived at the entrance of the furniture store.
Xu An looked up and saw that the shop was similar to the one in the photo. Much of the paint on the exterior walls had peeled off, revealing the sand and gravel beneath. He gently ran his finger across the surface, and the sand and gravel crumbled down with a soft rustling sound. The interior, apart from being darker than in the photo, was almost identical in layout. Strolling through it, Xu An quickly divided the shop into several sections in his mind based on the arrangement of the pillars.
The location at the entrance, with a wall built between two pillars, is the perfect spot for Xu's Braised Food Shop No. 2; further in, this large area is the typical braised food cooking workshop; the distance between the pillars and the wall is a bit close, just enough to build a small room for cooking the hellish braised food; further back is the back door, which is very convenient for loading and unloading goods and has enough space to be used as an ingredient processing area.
Xu An had clearly arranged the layout of the first floor, and the two of them headed to the second floor together. The second floor was undoubtedly the future office space for Narrative Catering, where people like Wang Fulong and Tang Wen would work. Later, they would hire a few more finance and administrative staff, and the company team would be complete.
Xu An grew increasingly satisfied with the shop. After wandering around for a while, he returned to the staircase and discovered there was another flight of stairs leading to the roof. He immediately climbed the stairs, turned the corner, and saw a locked iron door at the top. The real estate agent quickly stepped forward, took out his key, unlocked the door, and stood aside, inviting Xu An to go up first.
There's not much to see on the rooftop; it's just a bare concrete floor with waist-high railings on both sides. In front is a metal frame fixed to the ground, with a 'Furniture Store' sign fluttering in the wind on top. Turning your head, you can see the national highway in its entirety, with no obstruction from the surrounding residences.
Isn't the house next door a residence? You should be able to see the roof from this height, right? Xu An took two steps forward and looked down, only to find a scene of ruins. The six two-story buildings he remembered were nowhere to be seen.
"Has a company bought the land here for development?" Xu An asked.
"Yes, it was sold a month ago. Construction on the demolition started not long ago, but it stopped after the demolition was completed. I don't know if construction will resume."
Do you know which company bought this land?
"Let me think!" The real estate agent lowered his head and thought for two seconds before finally remembering: "It's Victory Supermarket. I heard that Victory Supermarket was planning to build a three-story standalone supermarket building here."
