Starting with a Family Division, the Real Young Master's Family Cries Tears of Regret

Protagonist Lin Fan was adopted by the Lin couple since childhood. With his exceptional business acumen, he transformed the heavily indebted Lin Group into a commercial empire.

However, at th...

Chapter Sixty-Three: Taking the Initiative

Lin Fan dodged the bullets one by one with a swift movement.

We can no longer passively take hits; we must take the initiative.

He pushed off with his feet and lunged forward like a cheetah towards the assassin leader.

The assassin leader hadn't expected Lin Fan to be so bold. He had no time to dodge and could only raise his pistol to try and block Lin Fan's attack.

However, Lin Fan was too fast. Before he could pull the trigger, Lin Fan punched his wrist.

"ah!"

The assassin leader screamed and dropped his pistol.

Lin Fan then kicked him in the chest, sending him flying.

"Bang!"

The assassin leader crashed to the ground, spitting blood, and lost consciousness.

The other assassins, seeing their leader defeated, turned pale with fright and dared not advance.

"Do you want to continue?"

Lin Fan looked at them coldly and asked.

The assassins looked at each other, and each saw fear in the other's eyes.

They knew they were no match for Lin Fan, and continuing the fight would only bring them humiliation.

"withdraw!"

One of the assassins shouted and turned to run.

The other assassins also fled.

Lin Fan did not chase after them; these people were just small fry. The real mastermind was still behind them.

He walked to Ye Yuyan's car, opened the door, and asked, "Yuyan, are you alright?"

"I'm fine, Lin Fan. How are you? Are you hurt?"

Ye Yuyan asked with concern.

"I'm fine, just some minor injuries."

Lin Fan smiled.

"Let's go, it's not safe here."

He restarted the car and drove away from the scene with Ye Yuyan.

However, they were unaware that the escaped assassins had not given up their pursuit.

They quickly reported the situation to their superiors.

"What? All of you can't even handle Lin Fan?"

A somber voice came from the phone.

"You guys are all useless!"

"Boss, that Lin Fan is just too powerful. We are no match for him at all."

"It was an assassin speaking in a trembling voice."

"Useless! A bunch of useless trash!"

That gloomy voice roared.

"I don't care what methods you use, you must kill Lin Fan and Ye Yuyan, or you'll be ready to die!"

"Yes, boss! We will definitely complete the mission!"

"Useless! A bunch of useless trash! You can't even handle a mere brat, what use are you to me!"

Inside the luxurious villa, the furious roar of a man echoed. He was burly, with a ferocious face; a long scar stretched from the corner of his left eye to his chin, twisting like a centipede, adding to his menacing appearance. He was the leader of the criminal organization, known as "Ghost Master."

Ghost Master slammed the wine glass in his hand to the ground, the scarlet liquid splashing everywhere, just like his furious mood at that moment.

"Boss... Boss... calm down... that... that Lin Fan, he's really... really... strange... we... brothers... are all... all..."

On the other end of the phone came a broken, fearful voice—it was the hitman leader who had narrowly escaped earlier.

"Strange? Strange my ass! I raised you bunch of trash just to spout this bullshit at me!" Ghost Master cursed, spitting almost into the phone. "I don't care if it's strange or not, Lin Fan and Ye Yuyan must die!"

He suppressed his anger, a sinister glint flashing in his eyes.

"Damn it, since you bunch of good-for-nothings are no good, then don't blame me for being impolite!"

Ghost hung up the phone and dialed another number.

"Hey, it's me... Yes, the plan has changed... Have you prepared everything I asked you to?... Good... Good... This time, I'm going to pull off something big!"

He hung up the phone, walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, looked at the bustling night view outside, and a cruel sneer curled at the corner of his mouth.

"Lin Fan, Ye Yuyan, don't you like to meddle in other people's business? This time, I'll let you meddle to your heart's content!"

He picked up a cigar from the table, lit it, and took a deep drag. Thick smoke billowed out, enveloping his distorted face and making him appear even more sinister and terrifying.

"Bombs... chaos... deal... hehe, killing three birds with one stone, this deal is worth it!"

In a secluded corner, several men in black were busy adjusting equipment.

They cleverly placed small, unassuming black boxes in crowded areas, under the stage, and even under the parasols of some food stalls.

"You all better watch out, don't mess this up! This is a mission personally assigned by Master Gui!" A man wearing a baseball cap with sinister eyes hissed.

"Don't worry, Brother Biao, this isn't the first time we've made this thing. We'll make them cry for their parents!" one of the henchmen replied with a grin, but he didn't dare to slack off at all, carefully stuffing the last "little box" into the soil of a flower bed.

"Hmph, it would be best to blow those bastards to pieces! Especially Lin Fan and Ye Yuyan, Ghost Master specifically asked for their lives!" Brother Biao said viciously, as if he could already see Lin Fan and Ye Yuyan being blown to pieces.

Meanwhile, on the other side...

Several uniformed "staff members" wearing headphones were busily working, their expressions tense. They appeared to be maintaining order, but in reality, they were secretly observing their surroundings, searching for suspicious targets.

Urgent instructions kept coming through their walkie-talkies: "Attention! Attention! All groups, be on high alert! Report any suspicious persons immediately!"

However, they were unaware that real danger had already quietly descended.

In a dimly lit room, several skilled hackers were typing rapidly on their keyboards. Their screens flashed with various complex codes and data.

"Done! The firewall has been breached!" a young man with glasses and a pale face said excitedly.

"Very well! Disrupt their surveillance system and render them blind and deaf!" a man with a hoarse voice commanded.

"clear!"

As the hackers operated, chaos erupted in the police command center. Surveillance footage suddenly became blurry, communication systems became intermittent, and various alarms blared incessantly.

"What's going on? Is the system malfunctioning?"

"Quick! Go get checked out!"

"Damn it! It must be those bastards' doing!"

The police were thrown into chaos, while the criminal organization's conspiracy was being carried out step by step.

On the other side, Lin Fan was hitting the sandbag with sweat pouring down his face, over and over again, tirelessly.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

A dull thud echoed in the empty room.

He gritted his teeth, his eyes resolute, and threw every punch with all his might, as if to vent all the worry and anger in his heart.

Since the last attack, Lin Fan realized that he and Ye Yuyan had become thorns in the side of the criminal organization.

Master Gui will definitely not let this go; an even bigger storm is brewing.

He must improve his strength as soon as possible. Only in this way can he protect himself, protect Ye Yuyan, and protect everyone around him.

"Huff...huff..."

Lin Fan stopped, panting heavily. Sweat dripped down his face, wetting the ground.

He wiped his sweat, walked to the table, picked up a map, and began to study it carefully.

Lin Fan's gaze swept back and forth across the map, his brows furrowed as he fell into deep thought.

He always felt that things weren't that simple.

The Ghost Master went to great lengths to plan such a large-scale operation, and it was definitely not just to kill him.

There must be a bigger conspiracy hidden behind this.

Suddenly, Lin Fan's gaze fell on one place—the event venue.

He suddenly remembered that when he and Ye Yuyan were investigating the criminal organization, they had discovered that the organization had unusual connections with some of the staff at the event.

"Could it be... that their target is the event venue?"

Lin Fan was startled and immediately picked up his phone to dial a number.

"Hello, it's me... Could you help me find out which staff members are new for this celebration? Yes, the more detailed the better... as soon as possible!"

After hanging up the phone, Lin Fan immediately took action.

He changed into casual clothes, put on a hat and mask, and quietly left home.

He arrived near the event venue and began to observe discreetly.

He discovered that some staff members did indeed behave suspiciously.

They often gathered together, whispering and their eyes darting around.

Lin Fan secretly followed one of the staff members and discovered that he had sneaked into a secluded corner to meet with a man in black.

"Is everything ready?" the man in black asked.

"Don't worry, Brother Biao has made all the arrangements. Everything will be perfect!" the staff member said in a low voice.

"That's good... Remember, this operation must succeed, failure is not an option!"

"clear!"
