"We can first acquire units 12 and 13, which are currently for sale. After completing the formalities, we can inquire about the others to avoid the landlords noticing anything amiss."

Gu Nanxun thought for a moment and then said.

"Okay, let's do it your way!" Lin Qing nodded in agreement.

Soon after, Gu Nanxun and Lin Qing arrived at the housing management office and met with the staff in charge.

After some communication, the staff took them to Huai'an Street to see the two shops that were for sale.

Upon arriving at Huai'an Street, Lin Qing looked up and saw that the entire street consisted of two-story shops, the largest of which were state-run restaurants and department stores.

Following Clerk Li to shops number 12 and 13, Lin Qing carefully observed them.

Although these two shops are a bit old, they are in an excellent location. Because of the state-run restaurant and department store, there is a lot of foot traffic, and the surrounding area is full of residents.

Gu Nanxun carefully examined the shop's structure and surrounding environment, planning its future renovations and utilization.

A woman's voice came from the courtyard.

Clerk Li replied.

"Daqing? What brings you here?"

The woman opened the door and asked in surprise.

"Auntie, these two comrades want to buy our shop, so I brought them here to see Uncle."

Clerk Li said with a smile.

"Auntie?"

Lin Qing asked in confusion.

Clerk Li scratched his head sheepishly, "To be honest, those two shops belong to my uncle, Li Dafu."

The woman said with difficulty.

The woman replied.

"It's for buying a house."

The woman replied.

"Where is the house?"

The young man continued to inquire.

"Where else could it be? No. 12 and No. 13, Huai'an Street."

The woman replied irritably.

Upon hearing this, the young man's eyes darted around, and then he looked Gu Nanxun and Lin Qing up and down.

Then she said matter-of-factly, "Mom, I'm hungry, go and cook for me."

"What are you making? Wait a minute, can't you see Mom is greeting the guests?"

The woman rolled her eyes at the young man, and then said.

"Mom, hurry up and cook. With me here, you don't need to take care of the guests."

The young man helped the woman up and then pushed her out the door. He then returned to the table, looked at Gu Nanxun and Lin Qing, and asked with a smile, "Which shop have you two taken a fancy to?"

"I've got my eye on both shops," Gu Nanxun said.

The young man's eyes lit up upon hearing this: "Okay! Let's go and get the formalities done. My brother Daqing is here, by the way."

"No rush, we think the price is a bit high and we'd like to lower it a bit."

Gu Nanxun tapped his hand on the table twice, then spoke.

"Can you lower the price? Brother Daqing, how much is my dad planning to sell these two shops for?"

After hearing Gu Nanxun's words, the young man turned to ask Clerk Li.

"The small one is 3,000 yuan, and the large one is 4,000 yuan," Clerk Li replied.

"Only 7,000 yuan? That's far from what I need! No, the price has to be raised."

Upon hearing that it was only 7,000 yuan, the young man immediately expressed his dissatisfaction.

Lin Qing and Gu Nanxun exchanged glances upon hearing this, as they had not expected such a turn of events.
