Yu Yao was sitting at her desk reading a book.

Previously, her sister-in-law and Wu Huaiqing had found her information on canned food production. These books were very useful, and she had already finished reading Wu Huaiqing's handwritten notes and two books.

Aside from that Soviet technical book I haven't read, this is the only one left.

She likes to read with questions in mind. She first looks through the title, subheadings, and table of contents of the entire book, and then raises the questions she wants to answer based on this key information. After that, she browses through the whole book and focuses on the chapters that are relevant to her questions.

This way of reading is not only more efficient, but also allows for better application of knowledge.

As she was reading, she suddenly heard a knock on the door. She looked out of the bedroom window toward the gate and saw the woman from before and the old woman who had rushed out last time. She lowered her head and continued reading, ignoring the noise outside.

Grandma Niu and Wu Shufen called for a long time, but Yu Yao still didn't come out.

"Mom, she's clearly in her room, but she won't come out. It's obvious she doesn't want to leave us. What should we do now?"

Old Mrs. Niu's eyes flashed with annoyance. She hadn't expected this young woman to hold a grudge like that. "Go back first. When your sister-in-law comes back, have her bring you over. I don't believe she won't open the door."

Hearing that there was no more noise outside, Yu Yao glanced at the courtyard gate.

"One letter and package are from Guangdong Province, and the other letter is from the island. Just sign here."

Yu Yao signed the document and handed it to the postman, saying, "Thank you, Xiao Zhang."

"You're welcome, sister-in-law. I'll be going now; I have other deliveries to make."

Yu Yao casually picked up the envelope, and was stunned when she saw the sender's name on it.
