“I didn’t do it. You say I did it, but did anyone see it?” Wu Shufen denied it.

Su Meihua was speechless, not knowing how to refute.

Just then, a young military wife emerged from the nearby bushes and said, "I saw it."

Yu Yao looked at the military wife who was speaking, a hint of surprise flashing in her eyes.

It's her.

The speaker was Yin Susu, another celebrity from the military compound. The word "celebrity" was in quotation marks.

Everyone around frowned when they saw Yin Susu.

Yin Susu was dressed in a neat shirt and trousers, with leather shoes on her feet. If it weren't for the basket of wild vegetables she was carrying, everyone would have thought she was there for a picnic.

She stood out from everyone else in the mountains, exuding the air of a pampered young lady, aloof and unapproachable.

Ignoring what others thought of her, Yin Susu walked straight out and said, "When the wolf came down just now, I was digging for wild vegetables nearby. I saw with my own eyes from the bushes that this comrade deliberately tripped this comrade."

Wu Shufen's expression changed. "What a capitalist's daughter says is not to be believed at all."

Everyone's expression turned serious upon hearing this.

One of these ferocious gray wolves is already enough for them to handle; if there were other companions nearby, things would be even worse.

The others didn't dare to delay and gathered around Yu Yao, clutching their belongings.

Wu Shufen had only taken a few steps when she heard Yu Yao's words and became somewhat uneasy. "Yu Yao, don't exaggerate. This place is so close to the military base. It's already surprising that one wolf appeared. How could there be other wolves?"

Wu Shufen was in so much pain that her eyes almost rolled back. Her survival instinct made her ignore the pain and she grabbed the knife she used to dig wild vegetables and smashed it hard into the gray wolf's eyes.

The gray wolf, in pain, released her.

Wu Shufen was so frightened that she wet herself and ran back in a panic, crying, "Help me!"

At the same time, a commotion came from the nearby bushes, and then something came out.

A military wife pointed tremblingly to the spot where she had just been standing, "There's a wolf hiding behind the bushes over there."

"They're here too."

"Look, there are some over there too."

"Why are there so many wolves?"

Before they knew it, the group realized they were surrounded by wolves.

Wu Shufen followed beside the military wives, her eyes filled with fear as she watched the pack of wolves appear around them.

A chunk of flesh had been torn from her arm by a wolf, leaving it bleeding profusely.

The smell of blood filled the air, making the wolf pack even more restless.

One after another, gray wolves, even larger and fiercer than the ones from before, emerged from the surrounding area and stood around Yu Yao and her companions, eyeing them menacingly.

They looked at Yu Yao and the others as if they were food on a plate, waiting for the alpha wolf's command to swarm forward.

Yu Yao glanced at them briefly and found there were eleven of them.

This is all too strange. This is the outer edge of the mountain, close to the military base, and there are usually patrolling soldiers clearing the area. There shouldn't be so many wolves here.

Everyone felt a little uneasy seeing so many wolves.

Panic spread, the crowd began to stir, and some military wives had already given up and wanted to escape.

Once someone starts this, everyone's morale will collapse, and the attacking wolves will likely seize the opportunity, resulting in heavy casualties.
