Three-and-a-half-year-old Chao Chao runs away from home because she is afraid of getting beaten up. She accidentally bonds with a system meant to redeem villains. Her task is to persuade villains t...
What a horrific crime scene this is!
Chaochao opened her eyes wide in shock, and her trembling little hand accidentally pushed the door open.
Hearing the sound, Pei Yushen's dark and lonely gaze slowly fell on the little dumpling who was stunned by the door. But after only a second, he calmly looked away.
Finally, Chaochao recovered from the horrific scene of slaughter.
Before she could even grapple with the questions of "to leave or not" and "to get the shot," she had already rushed into the room.
She rushed straight to a pile of scattered snacks, and her fair fingers picked up a small, broken piece of colorful Bean Delight.
These are her favorite cookies for today.
The little girl stared quietly at the cookie fragments with her head down. When she looked up again, her almond-shaped eyes were filled with tears.
The system seemed to empathize deeply, covering its mouth and its eyes welling with tears.
Even if you don't love someone, please don't hurt them!
Chaochao pouted, trying hard not to let her tears fall, like a sad and angry calf. She puffed out her breath and picked up the overturned box, which still contained some intact snacks. Chaochao's heart, which was overwhelmed with grief, finally felt a little better.
She squatted on the ground, her little body drooping, and picked up a bag of potato chips that had survived the ordeal with her tiny hands. She then carefully put it back in the box, and did the same to the second and third bags.
But this is only a minority.
Most of them perished in the disaster; their bodies were as fragile as paper.
Chaochao picked up the flattened packaging shell with her little hands; inside were crumbs of Doritos.
She put all of these in with love.
Chaochao sniffed hard, her thick eyelashes wet with tears. She put the flattened Doritos into the mixture, and while picking them up, she said in a muffled voice, "Brother, if you don't like them, you don't have to eat them. Why did you have to step on them!"
You don't like her, but she does!
Those snacks must have been in a lot of pain and sadness back then...
Just thinking about it makes me want to cry for those short-lived, beautiful snacks.
Upon hearing the child's word "step," Pei Yushen, who had been observing coldly, suddenly curled his thin, bony fingers.
Chaochao picked up her most beloved treasures, and put the surviving ones or those that were still salvageable back into the box.
She reached out and pushed the suitcase toward the door, her cheeks puffed out like an angry pufferfish, each step she took seemed to require tremendous effort.
She was really angry.
The mother-in-law is right; this young man has a terrible temper!
If it were Chaochao, she would have been very happy to have friends to play with.
With each step the child pushed forward, their frustration and anger grew stronger. Eventually, they twisted their bottom harder and pushed faster and faster, veering further and further off course until the bottom of the box was almost rubbing against the carpet and sparks flew...
"Bang--"
The corner of the box hit the desk and came to an abrupt stop. Due to inertia, the little dumpling couldn't brake in time and rolled 180 degrees in mid-air, using her little hand as the axis, and rolled into the box!
The system was so shocked by this scene that it was speechless: "..."
Even Pei Yushen, who had remained indifferent throughout, felt a lump in his throat, and a moment of bewilderment crossed his youthful, handsome face.
After a short while, Chaochao groggily peeked out from behind the box, her fluffy head still mixed with a few crumbs of Doritos in her soft hair.
How utterly miserable.
All that's missing is a sign on the box that says: "Looking for adoption."
Chaochao shook her head like a puppy shaking off water.
How did she end up in the box?
A mysterious force seemed to make her fly...
Chaochao tried to climb out of the box, but the box lost its balance and tipped over, sending the little dumpling rolling out along with her snacks.
Pei Yu watched coldly, standing by with his hands in his sleeves.
The little dumpling stood up shakily, its head spinning from all the rolling around, its big eyes now looking like two mosquito coils.
The main control center malfunctioned, and Chaochao's little feet wandered aimlessly as if drunk, staying no more than a meter away from the boy.
As the child swayed closer, Pei Yushen's breath hitched, and half of his body tensed.
"roll."
The boy's voice was cold and his eyes were gloomy.
But Chaochao didn't hear clearly. Feeling dizzy, she spun around and was about to fall when she instinctively grabbed something beside her.
When he saw those hands suddenly grab his calves, Pei Yushen's pupils constricted sharply, his muscles tensed instantly, and a violent panic swept away all his senses like a flood.
The usually aloof young man suddenly became like a wild beast whose scales had been touched, his eyes turning bloodshot. He maneuvered his wheelchair backward while raising his hand to try and brush away the object on his leg.
"Stay away from me!!!"
Suddenly losing her support, Chaochao swayed and fell onto the carpet with a "plop".
The wheelchair, which had been reversing too abruptly, crashed into the bed next to it. In the ensuing commotion, the wheelchair tipped over, and the boy on the chair groaned and rolled off the bed at almost the same time.
Within five seconds, two people collapsed in the room.
The dizziness finally subsided, and Chaochao gradually regained consciousness, slowly sitting up on the carpet.
The boy, who had fallen to the ground, gritted his teeth and tried to prop himself up, dragging his numb legs as he repeatedly tried to climb back onto the bed, only to fall back down again and again.
My elbows were covered in red welts from the fall.
His pale lips trembled unnaturally, and his sharp teeth bit through his lip, drawing drops of blood.
Suddenly feeling someone's blank gaze, Pei Yushen's struggling movements abruptly stopped.
Pei Yushen slowly and forcefully clenched his fingers into a fist, then chuckled softly as he pressed his hand against the floor.
He was all too familiar with that look in the eyes of someone watching a captive animal being twirled in a zoo.
Now, even a three-year-old can make fun of him.
The boy stopped struggling and stopped pulling on his legs, which felt like dead flesh.
He lay on the edge of the bed, his face pressed against the cold floor, drenched in cold sweat, his lifeless eyes staring out the window like a rotting corpse.
Chaochao, who was not far away, stared blankly at this scene.
