He is the decisive business emperor, and she is a charming, soft, and adorable student. Due to a mistaken blind date, he and she became the closest people on the household register.
From then...
Logically speaking, it's not unusual for a school beauty to receive a love letter.
However, it's quite unusual for Luo Xikui, the school beauty, to receive a love letter.
Apart from a note passed to her by a boy when she first entered junior high school, she has never received any messages from boys expressing their affection for her at school.
All because she had Xu Ziyu on her left and Xiang Hengxi on her right, which made others hesitate to approach her. Especially since her older brother had even gone to see that boy with that little note, although she didn't know what had happened, no one expressed their feelings for her after that.
"It's a love letter!" Xin Chun exclaimed in surprise, her voice neither too loud nor too soft.
Luo Xikui subconsciously turned to look at Xu Ziyu, afraid that he had heard her, but he also happened to raise his eyes at the same time.
The two locked eyes, but she quickly looked away and turned back to clutch the love letter.
"Didn't you see who put it there?" Luo Xikui asked Xin Chun.
Xin Chun shook her head, saying she had been working on her homework. Actually, she had been looking at the water dispenser the whole time, which was why she hadn't noticed.
"Why don't you open it and take a look?" Xin Chun looked at the envelope curiously.
Luo Xikui opened the envelope and saw that the handwriting on the light pink paper was neat and the content was very enthusiastic, but as she looked at it, she felt that something was not right.
His fingers tightened around the envelope, his face darkened, and he turned around to slam the letter onto Xu Ziyu's desk, shouting aggressively, "It's for you!"
Xu Ziyu glanced at her and said indifferently, "Aren't you disappointed that it's not yours?"
"Who cares?" Luo Xikui snorted, pouting, momentarily forgetting that she was still giving him the cold shoulder.
Xu Ziyu smiled faintly and looked down at the letter.
Seeing this, Luo Xikui assumed he was happy to receive the love letter, and became even more dissatisfied.
However, her dissatisfaction did not last long. He picked up the letter, crumpled it up casually, and then accurately tossed it into the trash can.
A smile involuntarily crept onto her lips. When she saw that her lost strawberry eraser was in his open pencil case, she reached out to take it, pouting, "So it was with you all along. I've been looking for it for ages."
"Forgetful." Xu Ziyu glanced at her.
Luo Xikui stuck out her tongue at him in annoyance, then happily took back the eraser.
The atmosphere between them then eased up. Teenagers at this age are always like this: they argue for no reason and make up for no reason.
Once one of them speaks first, it becomes much easier to reconcile.
During lunch break, Luo Xikui pulled Xin Chun along, got their food, and then sat down at Xu Ziyu's table with a smile.
Xiang Hengxi looked the two of them back and forth, raised an eyebrow and smiled, "You've made up?"
"It's never been bad," Luo Xikui said with a grin.
Then she saw two braised lion's head meatballs in Xu Ziyu's bowl, so she stared at them while biting her chopsticks.
Seeing the look in her eyes, Xu Ziyu picked up a lion's head meatball from his plate and gave it to her. Actually, he didn't like it, but he knew she did, so he picked it up when he saw it.
Luo Xikui chuckled and picked some of the green pepper and beef stir-fry from her plate for him.
Xin Chun watched the two of them go back and forth, then lowered her head and ate her food.
After lunch, the two officially made up.
Luo Xikui was in a great mood, and even during the last self-study period, doing math problems didn't feel so daunting.
After the school bell rang, she was still doing her homework and let Xin Chun go first.
Xin Chun glanced at Xu Ziyu, then slowly got up and left. As she exited the classroom, she saw Xu Ziyu still sitting in his seat. The classroom was empty except for the two of them.
She looked away, slung her backpack over her shoulder, and headed for the stairs.
