Ni Sitian got out of bed, opened the closet, changed her clothes, grabbed her wallet and keys, and went out.

She went out, hailed a taxi, got off near Xu Tingchuan's company, and bought two late-night snacks.

When she reached the office building, she hesitated. Was it inappropriate to come looking for him so abruptly? Perhaps it would disturb his work.

She looked down at the late-night snack she was carrying, and then thought, since she had already bought it, she couldn't possibly eat two servings by herself, so throwing it away would be a waste.

After hesitating for a moment, Ni Sitian picked up her late-night snack and headed into the office building.

Before I even got close, the security guards stopped me in my way.

"Miss, please show your work ID," the security guard dutifully requested.

Ni Sitian was taken aback. She didn't have a work ID for this place, so she could only say, "I'm looking for your General Manager Xu."

The security guard glanced at Ni Sitian and, noticing that she was wearing slippers, frowned and refused, "No appointment, Mr. Xu does not see guests."

Ni Sitian followed his gaze and looked down at her feet.

She came on a whim, only changing her clothes and forgetting to change her shoes.

Suddenly, she felt like backing down, so she lowered her head and turned away.

"Mrs."

Before Ni Sitian could take a few steps, a clear male voice came from behind her.

She turned around and saw Assistant Yu walking hurriedly towards her.

"Are you here to see General Manager Xu?" Assistant Yu smiled warmly. "Please come in."

Ni Sitian was very embarrassed that she had been seen dressed like this by Xu Tingchuan's subordinate. She wondered if it would embarrass Xu Tingchuan. She said awkwardly, "I won't go in. I bought some late-night snacks. Can you take them in for me?"

"The president hasn't eaten anything tonight, so he definitely won't eat if I offer him some. It would be better if you went upstairs," Assistant Yu said somewhat awkwardly.

Upon hearing that Xu Tingchuan had not had dinner on time, Ni Sitian frowned and, disregarding everything else, went straight into the office building.

After instructing the security guard not to stop her in the future, Assistant Yu quickly followed Ni Sitian.

This was Ni Sitian's second time here, and she was slightly more familiar with the place than before. Without needing her assistant to lead the way, she headed towards Xu Tingchuan's office.

Without knocking, they simply opened the door and pushed it open.

Xu Tingchuan was engrossed in reading the documents when he was suddenly disturbed. He frowned and looked up in displeasure.

When he saw that it was Ni Sitian, he was stunned and asked blankly, "Why are you here so late?"

Ni Sitian walked over, put the late-night snack on the table, took Xu Tingchuan's folder, and said somewhat domineeringly, "You're not allowed to look anymore, eat your late-night snack."

Xu Tingchuan snapped out of his daze, a slight smile curving his lips. He took out a lunchbox from the bag and opened it; it contained red bean and purple rice porridge.

"You came all this way to bring me a late-night snack?" His eyes crinkled into a smile.

"Who told you not to eat properly? You're all hypocritical." Ni Sitian was a little angry. He didn't take care of his health at all. She had told him many times, but he never took it to heart.

Xu Tingchuan was reprimanded by her, but he still had a faint smile on his face.

Ni Sitian was powerless against his smile. After only scolding him for a moment, she said softly, "Don't do that again. I don't want to see you get sick again."

When Xu Tingchuan heard her say that, his heart felt as if it had been soaked in warm water, and he reached out to hold her hand, looking at her with tender eyes.

Ni Sitian felt very embarrassed by his gaze. Her face flushed slightly as she lowered her head, pulled her hand back, and stammered, "Let's...let's have a late-night snack."

Xu Tingchuan's smile reached his eyes, and he couldn't help but tease her, saying in a deep and magnetic voice, "But I want to eat you now."
