Xu Jiayue's gaze shifted to their hands, and she was slightly surprised again. Her brother's affection for this girl was beyond her imagination.

She remembered that when he was with Sister Su, he didn't like to show affection in front of others. Sister Su had even complained to her about his coldness.

Xu Jiayue chuckled. Her joke had been taken so seriously by her brother, showing how protective he was of him.

The young couple is so sweet it's sickening.

Suddenly, a gurgling sound came from the living room.

The sound came from inside Ni Sitian's stomach. Her face turned red, and she lowered her head, wishing she could bury it in her chest and never look up again!

"Are you hungry?" Xu Tingchuan looked at her, reached under the coffee table and took out a box of cookies, put it in her hand and said, "Eat something to fill your stomach first, I'll go cook some noodles for you."

As he spoke, he stood up, turning back to ask as he walked toward the kitchen, "Do you want thin noodles or wheat noodles?"

"Either is fine." Ni Sitian felt embarrassed, having lost face in front of her sister-in-law again.

Xu Jiayue was stunned. Her brother was actually a good man who would cook for his wife. How come she never knew that before? And judging from the looks of it, this wasn't the first time.

"I want to eat too!" she snapped out of her daze and shouted towards the kitchen. She had never eaten anything cooked by her brother before, and it was incredibly intriguing.

Xu Tingchuan rolled up his sleeves, cracked eggs, chopped tomatoes, and cooked noodles for three people.

"Sister-in-law, you're amazing." Xu Jiayue looked at Ni Sitian with admiration in her eyes.

Ni Sitian was confused, thinking to herself, "I didn't do anything, did I?"

"How did you and my brother meet?" Xu Jiayue sat down next to Ni Sitian and asked curiously.

She knew that ever since Xu Tingchuan turned thirty, his mother had been urging him to get married and arranging blind dates for him. However, Ni Sitian was clearly not among the people her mother was arranging blind dates for; the age difference was simply too great.

“He went on a blind date with the wrong person, and then we got married,” Ni Sitian said, scratching her head shyly.

“Mistaken identity? How could that be? He’s not stupid,” Xu Jiayue narrowed her eyes and said bluntly, “I think he did it on purpose. Maybe he’s had his eye on you for a while and is using this as an excuse to strike up a conversation.”

Ni Sitian was a little surprised that Xu Jiayue had guessed that he had met her before.

To be honest, ever since she found out that he had seen her before and saved a child, she had been secretly thinking that he had done it on purpose that day on the blind date.

Xu Jiayue is his sister, so she should know him very well. If even she thinks so, then it means that he did it on purpose that day!

She had naively thought he had mistaken her for someone else, but humph, he clearly had ulterior motives all along.
