He is the decisive business emperor, and she is a charming, soft, and adorable student. Due to a mistaken blind date, he and she became the closest people on the household register.
From then...
After breakfast, Xu Tingchuan, as usual, drove Ni Sitian to the hospital first.
When they went in, Ni Tianzhen was still asleep, with her uncle and aunt by her bedside.
The two elders looked much more haggard, and Ni Sitian felt distressed just looking at them.
Ni Tianzhen did not wake up even after several minutes in the ward.
Ni Sitian told them about Zhang Yijia's case being dropped, which put their minds at ease, and offered them a few words of comfort.
As Ni Tianzhen left her hospital room, Ni Sitian and Xu Tingchuan ran into Li Shaoan in the corridor. He was still wearing the same suit as that day, now wrinkled like dried pickled vegetables, his hair was a mess, and he had a stubble on his face, sitting dejectedly on a bench.
"Is Tianzhen alright?" Li Shaoan stopped Ni Sitian and the others when he saw them come out and asked. Ni's parents wouldn't let him see Tianzhen at all, and he was extremely worried while waiting outside.
The thought that he was the one who made Ni Tianzhen unhappy, and now he was putting on such a dejected appearance, made Ni Sitian feel disgusted. She held Xu Tingchuan's hand and didn't want to pay attention to him.
In his panic, Li Shaoan reached out to grab Ni Sitian, but before he could even touch her, Xu Tingchuan chopped off his arm with a chop to the neck. Perhaps due to his weakness, he collapsed to the ground.
Ni Sitian turned around and glanced at him, then spat out, "You reap what you sow."
After she finished speaking, she pulled Xu Tingchuan away. Once in the car, she even took out a tissue to wipe Xu Tingchuan's hands. She didn't want to get her hands dirty by hitting someone like that.
Xu Tingchuan found Ni Sitian's childish behavior both helpless and amusing. He patted her head, then turned around, sat up straight, and started the car.
When they arrived at the company building, Ni Sitian unbuckled her seatbelt and prepared to get out of the car.
Unexpectedly, Xu Tingchuan grabbed her wrist, and she turned around in confusion.
Suddenly, Xu Tingchuan's large hand reached around the back of her head, pressing her head towards him, and his lips pressed against hers.
Ni Sitian was startled by the sudden kiss, but quickly complied and opened her mouth to respond to it.
After the kiss, Ni Sitian's face was a little red, and she leaned on his shoulder, slightly out of breath.
Xu Tingchuan stroked her back, calmed his breathing, and said in a low, husky voice, "Sitian, I regret it."
Ni Sitian was stunned for a moment, not understanding what he meant. After catching her breath, she lifted her head from his shoulder, her dark eyes looking at him with moisture, and asked in confusion, "Regret what?"
Xu Tingchuan stared at her intently, finding her eyebrows, nose, and lips incredibly cute, and increasingly exuding a youthful and charming allure.
"I regret what I said when we got married." He stroked her cheek, pressed his forehead against hers, and looked deeply into her eyes with his dark eyes before pecking her lips.
Ni Sitian was completely confused. He had said many things before they got their marriage certificate. Which one was he regretting?
"Sitian, do you really not want love anymore?" Xu Tingchuan gently stroked Ni Sitian's lips with his thumb and asked softly.
Ni Sitian was stunned, her eyes lowered slightly, unsure how to answer.
She knew she liked Xu Tingchuan; it was hard not to fall for a man as outstanding as him.
However, she was timid inside, perhaps because her feelings for Xu Tingchuan were not strong enough to give her the courage to touch love again, so she chose to escape.
Ni Sitian's throat tightened slightly, and she cautiously probed, "Then do you want it?"
