Chapter 8 First Recommendation

Avery awkwardly made his way back to the open space where the team members were resting.

His teammates around him shoved him curiously.

"What exactly was it? What did you see?"

"Why does the lieutenant look so pale? He looks like he's been hit by a cannonball today, so irritable."

Avery turned on his personal computer.

After logging onto the StarNet, he typed in the words he had just seen.

"The Innocent Landlord Meets the Tenant," a literary column.

"Wow wow wow!"

The scene that appeared shocked everyone watching.

The youth's energy suddenly reached its peak.

The piercing scream woke up everyone sleeping nearby.

"You shit! What are you yelling about!"

"This is ridiculous! I'm seriously fucking idiot!"

"What the hell are you yelling for!"

Avery frowned and retracted his personal terminal:

"Don't make a sound, get some rest. You saw everything, right? Now get out of here."

Avery was feeling just as restless.

He wished he could drive everyone away, like Lieutenant Bart, and stay alone to properly admire the male insect's beauty.

A moment later, Avery lay down on the grass, turned on his personal terminal, and switched it to anti-spy mode.

He stared at the picture for a long time, and a silly grin involuntarily appeared on his face.

So this is what the male insect's body looks like.

A moment later, he noticed that this was the StarNet Literature column, and the picture was just a novel cover.

Avery was a little curious: what could possibly be written on such a cover?

He clicked on the picture and quickly became engrossed in the story.

So that's what the novel's title means.

So this is how male insects treat female insects.

After Avery finished reading the first two thousand words, a payment page suddenly popped up when he clicked on the next chapter; the second chapter was going to cost money.

To continue reading, please purchase the next chapter. Payment: 0.1 credits.

Completely bewildered, Avery clicked to pay without hesitation.

This small amount of money is nothing to them.

Avery's face was flushed, his heart was already captivated, his mind had flown to an unknown planet, in front of a small hotel halfway up a mountain, peering through the glass wall at everything inside.

He longed to open the door, step into that little hotel, and let the events of the story unfold again in his own life.

After finishing the second chapter, Avery was still eager for more.

If we were to say that he liked the male insect in the picture 100% when he first saw it, then...

After reading the novel, his affection surged to %.

In a secluded spot, Avery kissed the male insect's tail hook in the picture.

What's this male insect's name? Avery was completely smitten; if he had any contribution points, he'd definitely date him first!

He wanted to go to this little hotel!

That evening.

Bart's squad returned to their base.

Everyone walked quietly towards their lodgings.

The female soldier from the neighboring squad flew over specifically to find Avery.

"Avery, let's go to the training room again today and do an extra hour of training."

Avery shook his head and declined his friend's invitation.

"You guys go ahead, I'm not going."

"What's wrong? You've been training every day without fail, why are you suddenly taking a break today?"

Avery cleared his throat:

"I'll talk to you on the StarNet later. You go practice on your own first."

Avery then quickly ran back to his bedroom, a small single room.

He hid under the covers, sent a screenshot to a friend, and immediately opened the novel.

He was going to revisit the whole story.

That night, everyone in Bart's team hid under their blankets and read the novel over and over again, until their faces turned yellow.

Only when their blood rushed to their heads and the pheromone monitoring rings lit up red did they reluctantly close their eyes.

**

On the garbage planet C1672.

Inside a small hotel outside the city center.

In his sleep, Han Ling once again felt the weight of Mount Tai pressing down on him.

He opened his eyes, and sure enough, the female soldier Roderick had run to his side again.

Roderick slept soundly, inhaling Han Ling's pheromones.

Han Ling wanted to teach him a lesson, but he didn't dare.

At this moment, the system said:

[Both the host and Roderick are currently experiencing a pheromone surge; you are not suited to live together.]

The system saw it clearly.

They were close to each other in their sleep.

The two originally met in the center of the room, but after Roderick rubbed against them, they gradually moved to the corner.

Han Ling nodded and said:

"Well, I'll leave the hotel and find somewhere else to stay after a week."

He rented the house for seven days, and when the lease expired, he slept outside.

Returning to the original state, with the sky as a blanket and the earth as a bed.

[Nighttime exposure to the wild and substandard drinking water can accelerate the spread of cancer cells. Host, please be careful.]

The system's notification made Han Ling roll her eyes:

"Alright, alright, I'll extend the lease if I have the money, and I'll move to another room."

Han Ling was originally the kind of person who would accept whatever came his way, spending money when he had it and earning money when he didn't.

But ever since the system appeared, it has been constantly reminding Han Ling how much money he needs.

He's starting to feel really anxious now.

Waking up in the middle of the night with nothing to do, Han Ling turned on his personal computer to check his backend earnings.

As soon as he entered his StarNet homepage, he saw flowers and streamers falling from above.

"Congratulations from Xingwang! Your work, 'The Innocent Landlord Meets the Tenant,' has won the Best New Book Award this week!"

New Book Award? Han Ling immediately sat up and quickly opened the award description in the literature column.

Han Ling's eyes widened when she saw the award description.

He won an award?

Han Ling quickly exited the page and opened her literary creation backend.

Book: *The Lovely Landlady Meets the Tenant*

Chapter Two subscriptions: 3498

Total subscriptions: 3498

——————

Han Ling gasped when she saw the number.

Over a thousand subscribers in one go!

If he were on Earth, he would already be considered a minor god at the start!

However, how could a book that was only read by a little over 300 people yesterday spread so quickly?

Han Ling didn't quite understand, but he didn't want to think about it anymore. He happily looked at his credits and clicked to withdraw them.

3498 subscribers, each subscription costs 0.1 credits.

Han Ling's earnings yesterday reached 349.8 credits.

In StarCraft, Zerg writers are also required to pay taxes, regardless of their income, they pay 20% tax.

Finally, Han Ling withdrew approximately 280 credits.

Han Ling looked at her account balance and felt somewhat excited.

Before, he would only earn 30 credits a day carrying bags.

Now he can earn 280 a day!

Although it still doesn't reach the Zerg's average daily income of 3,000 points.

But he was still very content.

Everything is moving in a positive direction.

Just then, a red light appeared on Han Ling's StarNet backend notification.

He curiously opened the backend messages.
