Chapter 111 The Abyss at the Bottom of the Lake

He always felt that something was staring at him from the depths of the huge cave.

Could it be the giant anaconda, or something else? Perhaps it was just his imagination.

Having dived twenty meters, Xu Xin was much closer to those creatures that were much larger than him and were swimming back and forth in the depths of the giant cave. He could already see their general appearance.

It was a fish, three or four meters long, with a sharp mouth and protruding eyes, but a flat body, which looked a bit strange. The color of this fish was similar to the surrounding cave walls. If they were not swimming like they were now, but instead stuck to the cave wall, Xu Xin would probably not be able to spot them.

Fortunately, the appearance of the fish was not very strange and it did not look like a monster, which made Xu Xin feel a little relieved.

He could see about four or five of these fish within his sight, all in waters below 60 meters, far away from him, so he didn't have to worry about them attacking him.

After circling the cave wall, he found a total of eleven water plants within his depth. Apart from the water plants, he did not find any other blue-level resources.

Although there was still some blue light in the deeper waters, Xu Xin wouldn't dive any deeper. The resources were mostly around thirty meters deep, which was simply not a depth he could go. If he really went that deep, if anything happened, he would probably be trapped in this abyss forever.

However, at a depth of 60 meters, within the range of those strange fish, some rocks on the cave wall caught his attention. The rocks protruding from the cave wall emitted a green light, and a few emitted a blue light.

"Ore?" Xu Xin narrowed his eyes, trying to see the stones clearly.

The color of those stones is different from that of the cave walls. They are green in color overall and are spread all over the cave walls at a depth of 60 meters. There are quite a lot of them.

"Green ore, what ore is green? Copper ore?" Xu Xin didn't know much about this, so he was a little confused. Maybe it was a stone that didn't exist in the original world, like the black gold that Li Wenxi discovered.

The most important thing is that it is impossible for him to dive to such a deep depth at the moment. It is useless to think about it. Even if there is really a copper mine that can be used to make electrical appliances, he cannot get it.

Xu Xin decided to dive a little deeper to see how deep he would feel uncomfortable.

After diving about four or five meters, Xu Xin began to feel obvious discomfort, so he stopped diving and slowly surfaced.

Twenty-five or twenty-six meters? Excluding the effect of the scale armor, he could dive to about twelve or thirteen meters. This wasn't even close to the limit for an ordinary person, let alone someone like him whose body had been strengthened multiple times and could still breathe underwater. With specialized training, Xu Xin felt he could probably dive to about forty meters.

It seems that I need to ask Qin Yunlong and his brother for some diving advice.

There were no other resources around, and Xu Xin also planned to go up. The effect of the aquatic plants he ate was about to wear off, and he needed to return to the surface as soon as possible.

Xu Xin didn't swim up quickly. If the water pressure changed too quickly, he could suffer from decompression sickness at best, or even a lung explosion and death at worst. Of course, Xu Xin's depth shouldn't be that serious, but it could still damage his eardrums, and he didn't want to become deaf.

Slowly floating upwards, Xu Xin finally poked his head out of the water and returned to the shallow end. When his feet touched solid ground, he breathed a sigh of relief.

Although the underwater world was novel to him, he felt very uncomfortable in the huge cave. The strong water pressure made him dare not go deep or surface quickly. His movements were restricted, just like being in a huge and deep cage.

Fortunately, this trip wasn't entirely fruitless. At least he had acquired eleven more water plants, significantly increasing the time he could spend underwater. If the rainy season did bring floods, with this suit of scale armor and these water plants, he wouldn't be in any danger even if he got swept away.

Xu Xin dug some lotus roots in the shallow water.

Fish might mutate, but these mature lotus roots shouldn't. The kitchen is ready. I'll go back and squeeze some oil from the wild animal meat and make some stir-fried lotus root with meat.

He walked out of the lake and looked back at this seemingly beautiful yet dangerous lake. The piranhas were no longer roaming in the center of the lake. The lake seemed to have returned to the way it was when he first came to the lake, peaceful and beautiful.
