The white angel was severely injured and forced to retreat step by step by several witches. By the time she noticed the red rays, it was too late. She began to petrify from her feet up her entire body.

They turned into stone statues.

One of the witches tried to destroy him, but was stopped by the purple-clad witch. "No one can escape this petrified forest. Let him live. When Angel City comes looking for us, we'll have something to deal with."

"In order to destroy the Witch City and wipe out all the witches, the Angel City actually cooperated with the Demon Clan. Did they think that they could hide it from everyone by doing it secretly? The humans should really see this group of hypocritical scoundrels!" Another red-clad witch gritted her teeth.

"The agreed-upon seven-day war has only just begun, and these things have already launched a sneak attack..."

"With that demon lord around, the demons won't dare to attack easily, but Angel City is a different story. Let's go back to the city first."

"It was the purple-clad witch," she said in a deep voice.

After the other three witches left, the purple-clad witch did not follow. Instead, she turned around, looked at the large, menacing tree not far away, and said calmly, "Come out."

"She found us..."

Bella's eyes widened as Su Deng covered her mouth.

Bella reacted quickly, instinctively covering the cat's mouth in her arms.

"Come out if you don't want to die." The purple-clad witch's voice and eyes turned cold.

Bella looked up at Su Deng.

Having confirmed that the witch had discovered them, Su Deng paused for a moment, then went outside anyway.

"Wow, so big..." The purple-clad witch's words stopped the moment she saw the face of the person who came out. "Kasha? What are you doing here?"

Su Deng: "...Are you calling me?"

"Otherwise?" The witch frowned, looking at her attire. "What kind of clothes are you wearing? And where did that little girl behind you come from?"

Su Deng: "..."

So, was she originally from the Witch Castle?

Her name is Kai'Sa?

This is a witch; the probability of her mistaking someone for someone else is small, but it does exist.

Su Deng quickly put herself in Bella's shoes and pointed at her, "I encountered a little accident outside. This is someone who came to the Witch City to participate in the Witch Examination."

Bella stood up straight and hugged the cat tightly. "My name is Bella!"

Accident……

The witch looked Su Deng up and down, and when she was sure Su Deng was unharmed, she let out a barely perceptible sigh of relief. Looking at Bella, her tightly furrowed brows deepened. "Didn't anyone tell you that this year's recruitment was temporarily closed?"

Bella was taken aback, then shook her head blankly.

This forest is full of dangers, and it's not easy for a girl in her teens to venture here, especially with Kasha. Freya paused for a moment and then said, "Never mind."

"Let's go back to the Witch's Castle." After she took flight, she saw Su Deng standing still. "Where's your wand?"

Su Deng: "...Lost."

Freya frowned again. "Then what about your magic?"

Su Deng used a second to try and see if she had any magic.

Silence for two seconds.

In the fourth second, she lowered her head with a look of shame and whispered, "I had an accident outside..."

"Were you tricked..." Freya landed back on the ground, seemingly about to say something, but then changed her tone, "I told you not to go out, but you insisted. Didn't you know that the demons and Angel City have been watching us all along..."

Next, Su Deng listened to a reprimand for nearly five minutes.

But she knew nothing and had no way to refute it, so she could only listen obediently.

Freya looked at her with a strange expression. "When I used to scold you like this, you would have lost your temper and run away, acting all cute. Why are you so compliant today?"

Su Deng: "...I know I've caused trouble..."

"Good to know. I've told you countless times that all men are no good, and you still... never mind, let's go back first."

The Witch Castle was embroiled in a lot of trouble lately, including war, so Freya didn't bother arguing with her and simply took the two of them back to the Witch Castle.

The Witch's Castle is located at the edge of this gloomy, terrifying, and dangerous forest, separated by a cliff, and built on an island in the sea.

A moon as round as a jade plate hangs in the starless night sky. Waves crash against the islands, and a thin mist hangs in the air. In this ethereal environment, a dark city stands out, its spire reaching towards the sky.

Under the cover of night, it is magnificent.

Bella was in a state of shock.

It was a little different from what Su Deng had imagined, but it didn't matter.

Freya led them to their lodgings. "The ones you brought back will stay with you for now. You can rest first. I'll go and inform Lilith of your return. As for the rest, you'll have to deal with it yourself tomorrow."

Su Deng nodded.

Bella nodded, her little face full of excitement and curiosity. "Sister Kasha, so you really are a witch!"

"..." Su Deng gave a mumbled "Ah".

Bella was a little puzzled. "Then how come you don't know about Witch's Castle?"

Su Deng: "..."

She coughed coldly, "Don't talk nonsense in this place."

"Huh?! Oh!" Bella was startled by her warning and immediately tightened her lips.

"Meow~" The cat in her arms popped out, squatted down in front of Su Deng, and looked up and meowed.

"The witch said that many witches have a black cat by their side; it's the witch's messenger. The witch's cat died a long time ago, and I didn't have any money to buy a new one. On my way here, I saw one by the roadside and picked it up..."

Bella said to Su Deng, "If you don't like it, I won't let it bother you!"

Bella quickly ran over and hugged it. "Black Bean, come here, let's go to sleep and not disturb Sister Kasha!"

The place wasn't too big or too small, and it had extra rooms, so Bella didn't bother Su Deng and found one herself.
