Suddenly, a flock of crows flew in from outside the city, cawing loudly overhead, and a witch's anxious and fearful voice echoed throughout the city through magic.

Without hesitation, Su Deng picked up her sword and joined their battle.

Holy white angels flew in the air, casting purifying rays, while witches wielded their wands, rode magical brooms, and unleashed various spells amidst thunder, lightning, and wind and rain.

Lilith, wielding her golden wand, repelled an angel and arrived beside her. "What are you doing here!"

"Help me." Su Deng brandished his sword, severing an angel's wing.

The angel plummeted in agony, weightless fall, but was caught by another angel before reaching the surface of the sea. In a flash of holy light, its broken wings instantly grew back.

Lilith pulled Su Deng back, then took out the enchanted dagger that could kill Yan Sizhan and handed it to Su Deng. "That demon is the source of all this. If you really want to help, go and kill him!"

Su Deng looked at the dagger but didn't take it.

Lilith's gaze darkened. "In each timeline of the reverse loop, I've done everything. I haven't killed him yet. If I kill him, you'll be a hero of the Witch's Castle if you can protect it. If it doesn't work, it will start over again, and he won't die..."

She was using logic to manipulate Su Deng, leading her to kill Yan Sizhan.

In Lilith's view, it was indeed true that killing a demon, even if it couldn't save the Witch City, was still a worthwhile endeavor.

Su Deng thought that if she were in Lilith's position, she might do the same thing and try every possibility.

But she is not Lilith, and now she can't bring herself to kill Yan Sizhan again.

Su Deng didn't take the dagger. Instead, she looked up at Lilith with clear eyes and said, "Can you contact the city lord of Angel City? I want to negotiate with him. I have found another source of power, and I can help Witch City win this seven-day war!"
