When the two arrived at the dining room and saw Zhou Jianye and Zhou Zhan waiting there, Leng Fengmei smiled awkwardly and said, "I'm sorry, Uncle Zhou, I didn't know you would be waiting for us!" As she spoke, she gave Zhou Zhan a resentful look and said, "Why didn't you say so earlier?"

Zhou Zhan was momentarily stunned by the young woman's fresh and clean appearance. "Amei, we're all family, there's nothing to be embarrassed about!" he said, pulling out a chair for her to sit next to him.

Seeing his son's ingratiating expression, Zhou Jianye quickly tried to ease the awkwardness, "I just wanted to talk to you about something today, so I'm taking advantage of this mealtime."

Leng Fengmei looked at this high-ranking man with suspicion...

"I heard from Zhan'er that you subdued the Klit tribe?" Zhou Jianye's eyes were full of admiration.

"Hmm! I guess so, because I haven't had time to check it out yet; it's just one of my trusted confidants managing it!" the woman said calmly.

Looking at the woman's magnanimous demeanor, Zhou Jianye felt ashamed of his own shallowness.

“That ethnic group is a headache for many countries. You’ve solved a potential problem for everyone!” Zhou Jianye suppressed his excitement.

"Oh!" Leng Fengmei's expression remained completely unchanged.

Seeing Zhou Jianye's disappointed expression, Leng Fengmei hurriedly said, "Uncle Zhou's people are nothing special; they are not as powerful as our Great Xia Kingdom!"

Zhou Jianye suddenly felt a surge of satisfaction, "Of course! How could a barbarian land compare to our Great Xia!"

"Amei, where are your family members?" Zhou Jianye asked his son, who said he didn't know.

"The commander has ordered that only Commander Leng is allowed to enter!" A guard stepped forward and blocked Jia Renyi and his companion at the door.

"Get out of the way!" Zhou Zhan forcefully pushed the person aside.

Leng Fengmei didn't stop and went straight to Luo Hongxing. "I don't think we have anything to hide. They have the right to know the truth!"

"Fine, if you're not afraid, why should I care!" Luo Hongxing looked at this ungrateful woman, unsure whether she genuinely didn't remember or was just pretending.

Hearing the sounds from inside the room, the guards stopped them, and Jia Renyi and his companion quickly entered the room.

Seeing that everyone had arrived, Leng Fengmei took out the Heart-Testing Stone, and to Luo Hongxing's astonishment, the Heart-Testing Stone slowly grew larger!
