Surviving This Year in the Conan World Means Victory

Seven years ago, timeline.

Fujiwara Yu was diligently searching for the Child of Destiny named "Edogawa Conan," believing that only by finding him could he gain permanent residency in...

Chapter 189,/.

He twisted his body and looked at Fujiwara, his tone filled with uncontrollable excitement:

"Hey, are you interested in investigating this kidnapping case with me? I don't want to trust those stupid policemen right now."

The streetlights cast a gentle glow, and the boy standing against the light arched his brows. The evening breeze, mingled with the scent of soil from the roadside flower beds, stirred his slightly long bangs with a slightly damp breeze.

Fujiwara Yu reached out and lifted the loose hair from her forehead, a smile in her ultramarine eyes, and said in a firm tone:

"What a coincidence, that's exactly what I meant."

Matsuda Jinpei raised his eyebrows in surprise, sensing the confidence hidden within the smile, and asked:

"So confident? Did you find any clues?"

"The kidnapper was driving a dark blue Nissan Maxima, and the license plate was most likely forged. Stop glaring at me and just listen to what I have to say, okay?" Fujiwara Yuu continued without pause, explaining his findings. "But I did notice something unusual about the car's left rear tire while driving. It's likely the tire accidentally ran over a nail, causing a leak."

Matsuda Jinpei hadn't expected Fujiwara Yuu to have such a keen eye for detail. More importantly, he remembered the details so clearly. He gave him a thumbs-up without hesitation, offering silent praise. He smiled and said,

"Come with me, little old-fashioned fellow! I know where they're going!"

"Why don't we go to the convenience store and buy a map?"

"On the way to the police academy today, Hagi noticed there's an auto repair street near Koyanagi-cho 2-chome. Since you noticed the flat tire, they'll definitely choose the nearest auto repair shop to have it repaired." Matsuda Jinpei analyzed as he ran towards Koyanagi-cho, "So Koyanagi-cho Auto Repair Street is their best choice. We'll definitely have time to get there now. Changing or repairing a tire takes quite a while!"

"Hagi?"

"Is this the point? Let's go! Now's not the time to waste time explaining things like this!"

The two of them kept increasing the speed of their alternating running legs, and the plastic bags in their hands rustled due to the amplitude of their arm swings. If the toilet cleaner in the bags had a soul, it would have been dizzy and vomiting violently by now.

"Yeah, I hope I can catch up!" Fujiwara Yu suddenly realized what Matsuda Jinpei had called him. He frowned and said dissatisfiedly, "By the way, don't call me a little old-fashioned anymore, or I'll call you a little scroll."

"Hagi told me you're twenty years old. You shouldn't be addressed like that since you're younger than me. Don't you understand respecting your elders?"

"Oh, then the big paper."

"……roll."

The author's thoughts:

Perhaps many people will feel that Jinpei Matsuda’s personality is a little inconsistent with his first appearance in the original animation, but I think that Jinpei Matsuda is like this at the age of 22. He may not be calm at times, but he also has a shining side. His reasoning ability, fighting ability, and hands-on ability are all very strong. He has resentment towards the police because his heart knot has not been untied.

Besides, why were the edges and corners of Jinpei Matsuda in the original novel smoothed out? I guess I don't need to explain, as anyone who has read the original novel will understand.

In my eyes, the 22-year-old Xiao Zhenping is the tsundere boy in the police academy comics who is high-spirited, a little arrogant, easily irritated, and double-mouthed (laughs). Everyone is in the growth stage during the police academy period, not the big boss mode in the later stage.

From my understanding: Matsuda Jinpei's appearance when he was in the police academy really looks like the protagonist of a hot-blooded manga.
