The unusual noise from the tires made the brown-haired man who was driving frown. He turned his head helplessly to look at his boss who was sitting in the back seat with his eyes closed and reported aloud:

"Sir, it looks like the tire was punctured by gravel or something. I'm afraid we can't continue driving."

The man in the back seat had long black hair and a stern Asian face beneath a dark gray woolen cap. He slowly opened his dark green eyes and straightened his back. His curly bangs swayed slightly as he moved. He tilted his head to look at the falling rain outside the window, frowning.

The man was none other than FBI investigator Shuichi Akai, who had returned to the United States after leaving the organization. He had a mission today, and the mission was to capture the serial killer who had committed several murders in New York.

Akai Shuichi spoke fluent English. After leaving his instructions, he pushed the door open and got out of the warm car. The cold air outside made him shrink his neck:

"Let's go to a nearby repair shop while it's still running... As for me, don't worry. I'll contact Judy to take over your duties. You can go home after you're done."

"Yes, Mr. Akai."

Shuichi Akai raised his hand to close the car door, then lowered his eyes to look at the scattered iron nails on the ground. The number was obviously wrong. It seemed that before their car arrived here, another car had also suffered a flat tire.

He walked to the eaves with the cigarette box in his hand, lit a cigarette, took out his cell phone and dialed the number that was at the top of the list.

As soon as the call was connected, a familiar voice came from the other end, and his frown relaxed a little.

"Xiu, what happened? Where are you? I'll be there right away." Judy Stelling, who was sorting recent documents in the office, was a little confused. She knew very well that her boyfriend would not call to ask about her situation for no reason during working hours, so it was probably that something had happened and he needed her help.

"I'm in a little trouble. Please drive to Fifty-fourth Avenue to pick me up."

Judy Stelling didn't ask any more questions. After confirming the address, she quickly locked all the documents on the desk into the drawer, then picked up her coat, left her workstation, and hurried towards the elevator in her high heels.

After hanging up the phone, Shuichi Akai put one hand in his pocket and took a sip of his cigarette. He looked up at the rain dripping from the eaves with drooping eyelids. It was nice to smoke a cigarette on a rainy night... but it was a bit cold.

Ta-da, ta-da, ta-da.

There were footsteps beside him, Akai Xiu turned his head to look, only to find that the person coming was an acquaintance.

How come he is here?

"FBI, I didn't expect to see you in a place like this." Fujiwara Yuu pulled up the corners of his mouth to reveal a not at all sincere smile. He looked at the slowly departing Mercedes-Benz and uttered three words that were very provocative: "...Congratulations."

There is a hint of gloating in these words.

Shuichi Akai was already used to Claire's tendency to choke him. He maintained a calm poker face, looking across the street at the car with a collapsed tire. He flicked his cigarette ash in someone's direction, seemingly deliberately.

"You're welcome, and thank you for contributing to the American auto repair industry."

Fujiwara Yu, who did not have the advantage in talking skills, walked to the side with disdain, dodging the cigarette ash blown by the wind, and then also imitated Akai Shuichi and stood under the eaves to light a cigarette.

The conversation abruptly ended in silence. Neither of them asked the other why they were here. They just maintained a strange silence until a black Chevrolet Suburban stopped in front of them. Judy Stelling rolled down the window and looked at the two people smoking. She said in a strange tone:

"Xiu, why are you with...Mr. Claire?"

Fujiwara Yuu didn't expect that the person who came to pick up Akai Shuichi was actually a female investigator. Her short straight golden hair made her look very capable, and her droopy light blue eyes matched with old-fashioned black-framed glasses. The taste of this investigator was quite special.

He glanced at something on Shuichi Akai's chest with a strange expression, and then glanced at a certain part of the female investigator... Haha, it turns out that this thing was not contracted by the FBI from playing horap.

He calmly pulled open the back seat and got in without hesitation. He rolled down the window and looked at Akai Shuichi who was still standing outside, and said sarcastically:

"Are you planning on walking back, Inspector Akai? I didn't realize you have a penchant for getting caught in the rain."

Shuichi Akai pursed his lips and didn't answer. He got into the passenger seat with an expressionless face. Before fastening his seat belt, he raised his hand and quickly took away the cigarette that Claire was still holding in his mouth.

After catching a glimpse of surprise on someone's face, he curled his lips in satisfaction and stuffed the other person's cigarette into the car ashtray along with his own. He seemed to remember something, turned to look at Claire, and asked in a deep voice:

"You're not going to kick me out this time, Mr. CIA Agent?"

"This isn't Japan. I'm not as overbearing as you think."

Fujiwara Yu lowered his head, took out his mobile phone, edited an email and sent it to Yinsen Hondo. He had to help recover the vehicle that could not be driven. The things in the car had been properly handled when he got out of the car.

Judy Stelling looked at the two of them curiously. This was the first time she'd seen her boyfriend engage in such a confrontation. Was there some kind of conflict between them? But Xiu had clearly helped him before. If their relationship was so bad, she wouldn't be the one to lend a hand and clean up the mess.

You know, it is not easy to avoid the spies set up by Schindler's company. Xiu also ran around for this matter for a long time and spent a lot of energy to give Hiroki Sawada and his father a new identity.
