Surviving This Year in the Conan World Means Victory

Seven years ago, timeline.

Fujiwara Yu was diligently searching for the Child of Destiny named "Edogawa Conan," believing that only by finding him could he gain permanent residency in...

Chapter 189,/.

"The real inviter... is Mr. Maekawa?"

Kensaku Asano was stunned when he heard Sosuke Takagi's question. He obviously didn't expect that the other party could see through his thoughts, or that the other party's reasoning ability was so low that he could notice just a small detail.

He knew he couldn't hide it, so he admitted it:

"I'm not the inviter. The real inviter is Mr. Maekawa. He asked me to play the role of the inviter and asked me to cooperate with his prank plan through a letter. To be honest, I don't even know the content of your script. I just followed the instructions given to me by Mr. Maekawa and led you in the script-killing game."

"But the settings of this script-killing game are very strange. I didn't find any useful clues during the first search." Fujiwara Yu raised his doubts. After all, he played the game seriously, but there were indeed no valuable clues except the body of the victim.

Asano Kensaku recalled the process book he received and explained:

"Actually, the first phase of the investigation doesn't yield any useful clues other than the crime scene. Mr. Maekawa was worried that roommates might read each other's scripts, so he kept the script simple. The only way to determine if you're the murderer is through three rounds of on-site searches. So, tomorrow morning, before you all get up, I'll go to the actual location and lay out the clues according to the script."

"So that's how it is... What about the character cards? Did Maekawa send each person's character card to each participant?" Fujiwara Yu frowned slightly and asked.

"Yes, it was all arranged by Mr. Maekawa." Asano Kensaku picked up the plate and said in a pleading tone before leaving: "Officer Takashi, if you don't have any other questions, please don't tell anyone about this. I need the remaining money. My mother's hospital treatment costs a lot, and without it, she's doomed."

Fujiwara Yu put the remaining food on the plate and said soothingly:

"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone."

"Thanks."

Seeing Asano Kensaku about to leave the kitchen, Fujiwara Yu suddenly remembered that his cell phone was still locked in the iron box, and he hurriedly said:

"Um, Mr. Asano, could you give me your phone after this? I have something I want to investigate."

"Hmm? Of course you can. Then at 10pm tonight, you can sneak into my room and I'll give you the key."

"Okay, no problem."

The two of them came to the restaurant with the dishes, and Maekawa Keiichi, who was lying on the table with a listless look, suddenly stood up. He completely ignored the table manners, took a bowl of curry udon from the plate and started to slurp it, as if he would starve to death if he ate it a second later.

With his mouth full of udon noodles, he was still mumbling something. Uchida Ami beside him couldn't stand it anymore and reminded him:

"Maekawa, you'd better swallow the udon in your mouth first, otherwise we won't understand what you are saying."

Gudu.

After swallowing the food in his mouth, Maekawa Keiryo cast his gaze on Asano Kensaku and shouted:

"Asano, I didn't realize your cooking skills are so amazing! This curry udon is the best I've ever had. It's incredibly spicy!"

"No, this borscht and curry udon were not made by me. They were made by Officer Takashi." Asano Kensaku didn't dare to take credit for anything. He quickly put down the Kaiko and waved his hands to prove his innocence.

"Huh? Really?" Yamaguchi Jun looked at Takashi Sosuke, who was calmly eating a piece of buttered toast with borscht, with a look of surprise on his face. He sighed softly, "I didn't expect the police officer to be such a good cook. Even if he loses his job at the Metropolitan Police Department, he can easily find a job again."

Fujiwara Yu glanced at Yamaguchi Jun indifferently. This was the first time in his life that he had seen someone curse someone's career to their face. He had such low emotional intelligence. I really don't know how he lived to this age. The people around him were too tolerant of him.

Sugino Takashi, who was sitting next to him, naturally heard this. He was perceptive and quickly coughed and changed the subject:

"Ahem, Mr. Asano, do we have any other activities today? Or should we all go back to our rooms and rest after dinner?"

"Today's activities are over. I will wake you up at nine o'clock tomorrow. During this time, everyone should have a good rest."

After enjoying a simple dinner, everyone chose to go back to their rooms.

Each room is equipped with an independent bathroom system, so there is no need to worry about queuing to use it.

While Miyano Akemi was taking a shower, Fujiwara Yu took out a piece of white paper and started writing on it. He simply wrote down all the information he had at the moment so that it would be easier to strengthen his memory.

Keisuke Maekawa was the real inviter, but he and Maiko Nakayama were accomplices in a case. When he saw the dummy body, the emotions he expressed didn't seem like acting, did he?

If he didn't act, wouldn't that contradict the identity of the inviter? Or is it that the inviter and the person who wrote the script-killing script are two different people?

Fujiwara Yuu bit the cap of his ballpoint pen with a headache. He vaguely felt that this trip would not be smooth, but the clues at hand were very limited, and he had no idea who the wolf hiding among them was.

He glared with his crescent eyes in dissatisfaction, leaned back in his chair and grumbled quietly:

"Really? I came here to play a script-killing game, but it turned into a werewolf game."

"What's Werewolf?"

Just as Fujiwara Yu turned around and was about to explain, he saw Miyano Akemi with wet hair and only a bath towel wrapped around her body. He felt as if his brain had temporarily shut down, and he forgot everything he wanted to say in an instant.
