Seven years ago, timeline.
Fujiwara Yu was diligently searching for the Child of Destiny named "Edogawa Conan," believing that only by finding him could he gain permanent residency in...
This was not the first time Fujiwara Yu had come to Teramachi Road. He easily found the bookstore run by Nishijo Taiga, but from the outside, the bookstore was not open. Could it be that he did not come back here after leaving the Mizuo family?
As a police officer, you naturally cannot do anything illegal, but if you now regard yourself as a CIA, picking locks should be a trivial part of your job.
After a psychological struggle, Fujiwara Yu took out the lock-picking tools from his pocket and was about to go around to the back door when he found that Nishijo Taiga actually walked out of the back door.
He quickly shrank back into the corner and carefully observed Nishijo Daihe who took out his cell phone. It seemed that he was going somewhere.
Where would he go at this hour? And the long backpack he was carrying must contain a bow and arrow.
Fujiwara Yu slowed down his pace and followed behind Nishijo Taiga. After walking for an unknown amount of time, he realized that they were far away from the city and were surrounded by trees. This place looked familiar. Wasn't it the park he had visited before?
As Nishijo Daiga disappeared from his sight, he realized that the other party had probably discovered that he was following him a long time ago, and must have deliberately walked out of the back door to lure him here.
After thinking all this through, Fujiwara Yu relaxed instead. He knew that Saijo Taiga wanted to silence him, but how could he let him succeed? After all, he was good at Kyudo.
Whoosh——
An arrow flew out from the bushes, and Fujiwara Yu, who was on guard, quickly rolled to the side to avoid the arrow. If he had been hit by the arrow, it would have been instantly fatal.
He quickly hid behind a tree and shouted at the top of his voice:
"Mr. Saijo, stop hiding. Aren't you good at kendo? How about we have a sparring match?"
What answered Fujiwara Yu was not the sound, but a sudden flying knife. If he had not been on guard, he would have been at a disadvantage.
He barely dodged the attack and frowned at Nishijo Daiga who was holding a wooden sword. The other party had not taken off the old man's mask on his face, and he was clearly in the bushes just now, so why did he run behind him?
Nishijo Taiga didn't give him much chance to react. He took a step forward and swung the wooden sword in his hand, slashing at the unarmed Sosuke Takagi, aiming at the fatal neck.
However, Fujiwara Yu was not so naive as to put himself in danger without any preparation. He drew out the wakizashi hidden at his waist, and the sharp blade directly cut off the wooden sword, and punched at Nishijo Taiga's mask.
Nishijo Taiga was unable to dodge the fist that suddenly struck him. After the mask was broken, he was too lazy to hide it any longer. He simply took off the broken mask, raised the corners of his mouth, and hid a fierce look in his eyes:
"I didn't expect Officer Ying Si to have something like this on him. Could this be a violation?"
"That's better than the illegal act you committed."
Saijo Taiga drew his katana. This time, he wasn't going to hold back, and he was going to show his true strength. He swung his katana repeatedly at Takashi Sosuke, each attack filled with murderous intent.
"Oh, it's okay. As long as I kill you, no one will know you violated the rules!"
"Then you must have this ability!"
Fujiwara Yu kept retreating. He knew that it would be difficult to gain an advantage in a fight with the length of the wakizashi, and the opponent's kendo style was something he had never faced before. It seemed to be some new style.
But just as he dodged the attack by turning sideways, a sharp pain in his right shoulder made him panic.
What was stuck in Fujiwara Yu's right shoulder was nothing but an arrow.
How could this be? Could it be that... the person skilled in Kyudo and Kendo is not the same person?
When Nishijo Taiga saw that Sosuke Takagi was injured, he quickly increased the speed of swinging his sword, continuously forcing the opponent back. Every time the opponent blocked him, the wound would tear apart.
Fujiwara Yu tried hard to concentrate on dealing with the enemy in front of him. He had no time to avoid the archers hiding somewhere. Just as he retreated again, the ground under his feet suddenly loosened and his whole body fell backwards.
Oops!
Nishijo Taiga watched Takagi Sosuke fall down the small slope. He tried to pursue him, but someone grabbed his shoulder. He frowned slightly, looking at the mysterious figure beside him, who was wearing an old man's mask and had a very similar build to his own. He asked in a cold voice:
"Don't you want to kill him?"
"The arrow is poisoned. Let's go. We have more important things to do."
"Tsk, was it that guy who told you not to kill him? How annoying." Nishijo Taikawa curled his lips in dissatisfaction. He looked at Sosuke Takagi who was lying on the ground at the bottom of the slope, and the murderous intent in his eyes gradually dissipated.
Since it was that guy's request, I had no choice but to obey.
Fujiwara Yu, who fell down the slope, struggled to get up. He felt his body becoming numb. It was not because of the injury caused by falling down the slope, but because of the arrow stuck in his right shoulder.
Poison? It's a method only a despicable person would use.
He leaned against the tree trunk, took out his cell phone from his pocket and dialed a number directly.
When he returned to the hotel yesterday, he received a message from Haibara Ai, informing him that she had also arrived in Kyoto and that he could contact her if he needed any help.
Fujiwara Yuu smiled bitterly and pulled the corner of his mouth. She was right. He really needed her help now. After the call was answered, he tried hard to make his voice sound not too weak:
"Hello? Miyano, are you available to answer the phone now?"
"You've called me this name, what do you think?" Haibara Ai glared at me with her half-moon eyes and said unhappily.
"Haha, that's right... Then could you come to Keage Slope Canal Park?"
Haibara Ai looked at Conan Edogawa in confusion, who used tracking glasses and a detective badge to find Genta. If it was about the case, he could obviously go find Kudo, or at least find Hattori, so how could he find her?
