Seven years ago, timeline.
Fujiwara Yu was diligently searching for the Child of Destiny named "Edogawa Conan," believing that only by finding him could he gain permanent residency in...
Grade 2, Class B, dummy body, cause of death was a stab wound to the heart.
After realizing these three things, Uchida Ami couldn't help but recall the scene from ten years ago. Her face gradually darkened. Could it be that... No, everyone had an alibi back then. The murderer shouldn't be one of us. And that person named Asano Kensaku couldn't possibly be related to Sazuki.
She was worried that Takashi Sosuke would notice something, so she decided not to reveal too much to the police before she figured it out. She suddenly hunched her back, covered her stomach, and pretended to be uncomfortable, then said embarrassedly:
"Well, my stomach feels a little uncomfortable, I need to go to the bathroom first."
"Do you need me to go with you?"
"No need~"
Fujiwara Yuu leaned on the podium and looked at Uchida Ami who had hurriedly fled here. He curled his lips and said speechlessly:
"Does this guy think the police are easy to fool? His acting is so fake."
"Did you hear any news when you were following Mr. Maekawa just now? Otherwise you wouldn't ask this, right?" Miyano Akemi asked curiously.
Fujiwara Yuu frowned habitually as he thought about what he had overheard:
"Maekawa Keiichi and Nakayama Maiko are likely accomplices. They may have indirectly caused the death of a girl, so apart from these two, everyone else is a suspect."
"In other words, the person who brought them together this time might be seeking revenge against them both?"
"I'm not sure yet, but the possibility is still quite high." Fujiwara Yu looked around and found no clues at the crime scene, so he suggested, "Let's go somewhere else first. Who knows, cracking the script-killing game might be the key. I hope nothing bad happens. I really don't want to work overtime."
"Ah, I don't know who said that their luck is going to change~"
When Fujiwara Yu heard his girlfriend complaining about him, his face turned slightly red. He didn't expect that what he said before might become a flag. It was really bad. It turned out that he couldn't easily accept Kudo's invitation.
After investigating the teaching building, they did not find anything substantial that could be used to reason about the case. This made Fujiwara Yu feel more and more that the script-killing was just a way to trap them here, and that someone actually wanted to do something.
The one-hour search was over quickly, and everyone gathered again at the entrance of the teaching building. Miyano Akemi looked around, making sure there was enough people, then she leaned over to Fujiwara Yuu's ear and whispered:
"Nothing special seems to have happened at the moment, and I don't know if we are overthinking it."
"It's better to be vigilant. I'll go back to the hotel and find a way to get my phone back."
The two of them walked at the back of the group while talking in whispers. When they arrived at the hotel, before Fujiwara Yu could speak, Yamaguchi Jun shouted that they should quickly review the first stage of the script-killing game to see if they could get any useful clues.
As a detective and a detective assistant, they naturally spoke last.
As Fujiwara Yu listened to the speeches of Keisuke Maekawa and Maiko Nakayama, he discovered that both of them had concealed the fact that they had been to the crime scene. He did not intend to expose their lies, but instead observed the reactions of such people.
When everyone had finished speaking and it was time for the detective to give a summary, Fujiwara Yuu showed an embarrassed expression. He had been observing everyone's expressions the whole time and had not listened to their speeches at all, so he didn't know what to say as a summary of the first phase of the intensive discussion.
After observing what Fujiwara Yuu did, Miyano Akemi calmly picked up the notebook in her hand. She described in detail the findings at the crime scene, summarized the clues that everyone had searched for previously, and locked in the suspect as Yamaguchi Jun.
Upon hearing that he had become a suspect, Yamaguchi Jun smiled awkwardly and waved his hands:
"No way? Why do you suspect me? The victim and I have no connection except that we went to the same school."
"Is it really just a matter of going to the same school?" Miyano Akemi pulled out the clues she'd found in the locked locker and placed them directly on the long table. "Then what about these stalking photos? You probably also have a crush on the victim, right?"
Fujiwara Yu looked at Miyano Akemi in surprise. He didn't expect that she was really playing the script-killing game seriously and even recorded all their conversations. He curled his lips and said proudly in his heart: She is worthy of being my girlfriend!
The first phase of the discussion concluded with Yamaguchi Jun admitting to stalking and secretly loving the victim. New suspects emerged, but this was just a game after all... For Fujiwara Yuu, he wanted to understand the truth behind the game: who was the woman the two men were talking about being murdered? What was Uchida Ami's connection to that incident? Were the others also connected?
While everyone went back to their rooms to rest, Fujiwara Yu quickly walked to the kitchen. He knew that Asano Kensaku was preparing dinner for everyone here. When he pushed open the kitchen door, he found that there was no one inside.
Strange, where did the people go?
His eyes fell on the microwave oven that was in use and the instant food products that were still thawing next to it. The corners of his mouth couldn't help but twitch. He really didn't expect that Kensaku Asano couldn't cook at all.
Fujiwara Yu left the kitchen and walked towards Asano Kensaku's bedroom on the first floor. He politely knocked twice at the door, but heard no response. He tilted his head in confusion, and when he was about to knock again, he heard a terrified scream.
Is that Uchida Ami's voice? It's coming from the second floor!
He quickly ran up the stairs and saw everyone gathered at the door of the study on the second floor. He shouted:
"What happened?!"
"Takashi, Officer Takashi!" Uchida Ami looked at Takashi Sosuke with a look of horror, and pointed a trembling finger at the transparent glass on the wooden door, stammering, "Maekawa, he's dead in there!"
"What?"
Fujiwara Yu pushed away Sugino Takashi who was blocking the door with one hand. He looked inside through the glass and saw Maekawa Keiryo lying on his back in a pool of blood, with a bloody dagger lying beside him.
Isn't the amount of blood a bit exaggerated? And the door to the study was quite wide, so I didn't smell any blood.
Fujiwara Yu, who always felt something was strange, noticed Asano Kensaku who was late. Although there was a look of fear on the other's face, there was a hint of joy hidden in it... What was going on?
Just as Fujiwara Yu continued to look into the room through the glass, he noticed the slightly rising and falling chest. Oh my god, so that's what was going on.
He let go of his guard and, to ensure the two could continue their drama, he had no choice but to cooperate:
"Except Mr. Asano, everyone should gather in the restaurant on the first floor. No one is allowed to go up to the second floor without my permission!"
"Okay, okay."
After the others left, Fujiwara Yuu glared at Asano Kensaku, who was rubbing his hands and embarrassedly smiling at him, and sighed helplessly:
"Mr. Asano, I didn't expect there would be such an operation in your script?"
