Why do people in this world always like to give me things?

Since transmigrating to another world, Wu Yu has considered himself to have bad luck. No matter where he goes, he always encounters some unfortunate things. However, the people in this world don't seem to have any ill intentions towards him and are generally quite friendly.

"Why?" Wu Yu said he couldn't understand.

“Because Wu Yu, you represent another possibility for the future. When this world is destined to be destroyed, you should be the only one who can stop it. It would be very interesting to see you accomplish what I cannot. So whatever you want to do, Wu Yu, I will wholeheartedly support you, even if you become my enemy.” Phillis said magnanimously.

"Me? Save the world? Don't be ridiculous. I don't even know what the end of the world is, how am I supposed to stop it? Or are you going to tell me?" Wu Yu asked tentatively.

"If Wu Yu becomes my accomplice, then it's only natural that I'd tell you this information. So, is Wu Yu prepared to agree to their request?" Phillis asked expectantly, blinking his big eyes.

"Let's talk about other things instead." Wu Yu continued to dodge the question. How could such an important decision be made so hastily? At least he should find out more about Phillis first. If it was just a shell company, wouldn't he be getting himself into trouble if he agreed?

"What exactly are you, or rather, what is the force behind you? And how strong are they?" Wu Yu asked the question that concerned him most. Regardless of what the other party wanted to do, in this world, strength was king. As long as you were strong enough, you could represent what was right.

"The Outer Gods Alliance, but unlike this subordinate organization of the same name in this plane, we are a super-large organization spanning several planes, composed of true gods." Phillis truthfully revealed his background.

"Wait, are you saying that the Outer God Alliance that caused trouble in the royal city is your subordinate organization, so the descent of the God of Light was also your doing?" Wu Yu found that the truth was even more outrageous than he had imagined.

Wu Yu initially thought that Phillis was at most one of the three major powers behind him, but he soon realized that the three major powers were actually weaklings. Even a terrifying creature like the God of Light had formed an alliance. What chance did these natives from other worlds have? The world's strongest combat power didn't even have the right to look them in the eye. This was practically a dimensional reduction attack.

“That was an arrangement made by the God of Light before I was born; I was merely responsible for guiding it to proceed smoothly,” Phillis admitted.

"Do you know how many people died this time?" Wu Yu said in a deep voice. He could not see any reverence for life in Phillis's eyes. Although Wu Yu did not care about outsiders in this world, Phillis was a native of this world. How could she be so indifferent?

"Everyone must die eventually, and when they are not chosen by me, death is the fate they must accept." When Phillis said these words, he truly resembled a king on earth, whose words and actions could determine life and death.

“But wasn’t this disaster also caused by you?” Wu Yu frowned. He didn’t like Phillis’s condescending attitude.

“It’s not me, it’s the God of Light. No matter what happens, someone has to sacrifice, right? And the real culprit is the impending apocalypse. Sacrificing the people of one city can save all of humanity. Isn’t that a good deal? If anyone is at fault, it should be you, Wu Yu.” Phillis poked Wu Yu’s chest with his fingertip and said with a light laugh.

"What does this have to do with me?" Wu Yu said innocently.

"The necessary sacrifices have been made, the God of Light has successfully descended, and what should have been a happy ending should have been a auspicious one. However, Wu Yu, you have ruined the situation we have painstakingly built," Phillis sighed.

"When the true God appears in the world, His followers will increase in an endless stream. When the followers of light cover every corner of the continent, we can gather the power of all living beings, open up a cross-dimensional passage, and then transfer all of humanity to the dimension to which the God of Light belongs, so as to avoid this apocalyptic catastrophe."
