Summary: I was reborn, carrying the strongest swordsman account from the game "God Venerate," but the scenario of easily dominating another world did not happen. After all, what does the ga...
Wow, this desert terrain doesn't seem as difficult to traverse as before!
After changing his slippers into desert boots, Wu Yu finally felt like he was walking on flat ground.
At this moment, Wu Yu also changed into the same outfit as Jack, his whole body shrouded in an extended cloak.
This outfit, which looks similar to the one worn by the character in Assassin's Creed, not only washed away Wu Yu's goofy air, but also helped him block out the sand and dust to the greatest extent possible, so at least he doesn't have to squint to see the world now.
It's a bit of a shame that he didn't evolve into one of the two most ruthless characters in the anime world with his squinty eyes.
I don't know what Jack was thinking, but he actually stuffed several sets of clothes of different sizes into his space ring, which is supposed to only hold two cubic meters of items. It's not like the saying "better safe than sorry". It seems that this guy is obviously super powerful but overly cautious.
As for Wu Yu's own clothes, he exchanged them with Jack. Judging from the smile on Jack's face, he was quite happy, which was also what Wu Yu was happy to see. Anyway, wearing that strange outfit would only cause trouble. If he had more clothes, he would have given them to Jack to improve his favorability.
The two got along well on the way. Jack seemed to be a man of few words. He would hardly utter a word unless Wu Yu spoke. However, Wu Yu could clearly feel that Jack was taking care of him.
The pace of walking, which kept him from getting too tired, was clearly determined based on his physical condition. He would always catch him when he was about to fall. Every time he drank water, Jack would only take a small sip, but he would ignore Wu Yu's gulping drinking method. This meticulous yet subtle way of taking care of him always warmed Wu Yu's heart.
It seems that even my mom doesn't care about me so much anymore since I grew up. She usually just gives me a habitual reminder and then doesn't say anything more.
It's true that people are just like that. They had loving parents in the past but didn't know how to cherish them. Now, they can't help but be moved to tears by just a short moment of care.
Thinking of his parents, and unsure if he would have a chance to go home after activating the system, Wu Yu dared not let his mind wander. He was constantly afraid of the moment when the answer would appear. If he didn't get the answer he wanted, how would he feel to live on? Wu Yu couldn't imagine that scenario, or perhaps he didn't want to imagine it.
Wu Yu didn't dare to touch Jack's sword for the time being; his chest was still aching. Perhaps he could try to borrow Jack's sword once they reached a human settlement.
"stop."
Jack's voice interrupted Wu Yu's thoughts, and Wu Yu immediately stopped. Although he didn't understand why, when faced with instructions from someone clearly much more capable than himself, he simply had to follow them; the outcome couldn't be worse no matter what.
As for Jack, after stopping, he immediately drew his sword and held it horizontally in front of him. Silver-white battle aura surged from his body, forming a powerful battle aura barrier.
Then, Jack moved.
In Wu Yu's eyes, Jack disappeared from his spot like a ghost, then several sand pits spread out, and finally stopped on a sand dune in the distance.
What the hell is this? Could there be an enemy? Wu Yu looked around, but saw nothing. Suddenly realizing something, Wu Yu quickly lowered his head to look at the ground.
Jack, however, suddenly pushed off the ground, leaping into the air, flipping over, and then plummeting vertically back down.
"Bang." The small hill below Jack exploded with a deafening roar, and a huge black shadow shot out at a speed that Wu Yu could not catch with his naked eye.
Jack, however, was prepared. His sword gleamed silver as he raised it above his head and thrust it towards the ground.
In this clash of titans, the outcome was decided immediately.
A mournful roar pierced Wu Yu's ears, making his eardrums ache. Then, the dark figure was sent flying backward at an even greater speed, embedding itself in the sand.
Using the force of his counterattack, Jack leaped into the air for a distance. Then, he drew a cross with his sword in mid-air, and a silver cross slash about five meters long descended from the sky, completely obliterating the small sand dune beneath his feet. This time, the monster didn't even let out a scream; it was probably dead.
"Boom!" Jack descended from the sky, sending up another cloud of dust and stones, which smashed the ground into a sizable crater.
It seems Jack can't fly, otherwise how could he make such a commotion with a landing?
As the dust settled, the figure shrouded in a cloak slowly emerged from the sandpit. The mysterious and powerful silver battle aura had vanished, revealing a thin body that appeared exceptionally frail from afar, giving Wu Yu a sense of impending collapse.
Feeling that the battle was over, Wu Yu was about to go up and say hello, and maybe even shout "666" when Jack did something that terrified Wu Yu. Jack threw his sword at Wu Yu like a javelin.
Wu Yu felt a gust of wind sweep past, knocking him off his horse. Then, a deafening roar, like a firecracker exploding, rang in his ears, causing him to temporarily lose his hearing.
What the hell? Is this a murder to silence him? Wu Yu's mind was blank. The terrifying experience of being on the verge of death still lingered in his mind, making him unable to extricate himself. Cold sweat soaked Wu Yu's back. If it weren't for the lack of water in the desert, Wu Yu suspected that he would have wet himself from fear.
Jack was still in the distance, walking towards Wu Yu with unhurried steps. His calm demeanor conveyed to Wu Yu that the battle was truly over.
