Ning Shu waited for a long time without any response, guessing that she had just imagined it, otherwise there would be no reason for them not to respond to her.

But she still cautiously and quietly said, "Since no one's here, I'll be going now."

Cheng Chuan died even before me. I used my powers to protect him, and in the end, we were both captured.

Ning Shu then realized that this transformation ability had an end. Fortunately, she hadn't used it much earlier, so she figured she could last a little longer.

Ning Shu came up with a plan; she followed the conveyor belt and entered the metal plate with them.

It was indeed pitch black. She groped around inside, feeling for the metal plate, and then tried to "climb like a gecko."

After all, she could stick to the ceiling upside down before, so this shouldn't be difficult for her.

It worked! Overjoyed, she quickly climbed up the board. The track above was sealed off, so no light shone in.

She groped her way along the metal ceiling to the tracks, talking to Cheng Chuan and the others along the way, but they didn't respond.

The track itself doesn't move; what moves are the roller hooks that suspend them, so Ning Shu can lie on the track without worry.

"...How did you get up there?" Wu Yi stopped crying and asked curiously.

"I just climbed up the board inside, and I was talking to you guys in there. Why are you ignoring me?" Ning Shu complained, needing to vent her frustration.

"...What do you mean we're ignoring you? You're the one ignoring us! You don't answer us when we ask what you're doing." Wu Yi blurted out.

"We didn't hear you speak," Cheng Chuan said, a beat late.

Ning Shu: "..."

This is bizarre! She sensed something was very wrong, so she stopped talking and quickly tried to find a way to untie them.

She lay down and grabbed the rope around Cheng Chuan's ankle. According to her earlier "heroic deeds," this rope would have been easy to tear, but she couldn't manage it.

Cheng Chuan: "This rope might be a bit special. We can't untie it with our abilities. We tried to break it when Wu Yi could still petrify, but it didn't work."
