Black Wind Village is a backward and impoverished place. The Ma family is spoken of by everyone in the village. After having five sons, the 40-year-old woman of the Ma family became pregnant again....
Cui Niang stood in front of the thatched hut, her eyes wide with terror as she watched Ma Hehua swoop in like a giant moth.
The figure exuded a resolute aura, causing Cui Niang's heart to leap into her throat.
Her legs began to tremble uncontrollably. She wanted to run away, but found that her feet were nailed to the ground and she could not move an inch.
Ma Hehua was incredibly fast, and in the blink of an eye, she was in front of Cui Niang.
Her eyes burned with a fierce rage, as if she wanted to burn Cui Niang to ashes.
The large knife in her hand instilled a deep fear in Cui Niang.
The broadsword gleamed coldly in the sunlight, and wisps of chill emanated from its blade, as if it could freeze the surrounding air.
The blade was incredibly sharp, seemingly capable of slicing through anything with a single, gentle swing.
The blade still bore some dark red marks, as if it had drunk countless amounts of blood, and a strong murderous aura lingered within, sending chills down one's spine.
Cui Niang's throat tightened, and she wanted to say something to plead for mercy, but she found that her voice was swallowed by fear, and she could only make some indistinct sobs.
Her gaze was fixed on the large sword, as if she were locked in by its menacing aura.
Ma Hehua gripped her broadsword tightly, the veins on her arm bulging, revealing her resolute determination. "Cui Niang, today is your death day!" Her voice was low and filled with murderous intent, like a pronouncement from hell.
Cui Niang burst into tears, shaking her head desperately. "Sister, please, spare me! I know I was wrong, I really know I was wrong!" Her voice was filled with desperate sobs, and her body trembled uncontrollably with fear.
Ma Hehua remained unmoved, her eyes growing colder. "Your mistakes are unforgivable, and no one can save you today!" With that, she raised her broadsword without hesitation, as if she had already made up her mind to kill Cui Niang.
Cui Niang closed her eyes in despair, awaiting death.
Just then, a voice suddenly rang out: "Lotus, hold on!"
Ma Hehua paused, turning her head to see an old man rushing towards her. The old man, panting, reached Ma Hehua and said, "Hehua, could you give me this demoness?"
Ma Hehua looked at the old man with a furrowed brow. "Old Tree, the mistake that Cui Niang made cannot be forgiven without killing her!"
The old man sighed, "Lotus, I know you're angry, but killing her isn't the solution. We should give her a chance to change her ways."
Ma Hehua gritted her teeth and smiled. "Old Tree, she's so audacious and has broken the rules of our Ma family. If she's not severely punished, how can we maintain order in the future?"
The old man patted Ma Hehua on the shoulder. “Hehua, rules are rigid, but people are flexible. We can’t do something irreversible because of a moment of anger. Believe me, give Cui Niang a chance. Maybe she will realize her mistake and start anew.”
Ma Hehua remained silent for a moment, then chopped down the old tree with her broadsword. A slight smile played on her lips, and her eyes held a hint of madness.
"Old Tree, have you lost your mind? Hahaha... You're just a demon, and you still want to be a decent human? Is your head filled with shit?" Ma Hehua gave him a disdainful look.
The old tree was completely dumbfounded as he watched the green blood gushing out.
"Why...why did you hit me?"
This is absolutely unethical.
"What's wrong? Do I need to ask you before I make my move? Who do you think you are? If I want to kill a demon, she must die." Ma Hehua said with a gloomy face.
Cui Niang also felt that this woman was a bit obsessive; she didn't hesitate at all when she was chopping people up.
She was like an enraged beast, her eyes bloodshot, her hair flying wildly in the wind, and she exuded a chilling aura.
Her face was contorted with rage, and she kept letting out low growls, as if she wanted to vent all the anger in her heart.
Old Tree keenly sensed that something was wrong with Ma Hehua's state; it was a kind of irrational madness, a resolute determination to achieve her goal.
Its weathered trunk seemed to tremble slightly with tension.
Just then, the old tree stretched out quickly and grabbed Cui Niang.
Cui Niang was startled by the sudden tug and was about to cry out when Lao Shu's deep and urgent voice rang in her ears: "Girl, run! Ma Hehua has lost her mind. If you don't run now, it will be too late!"
Cui Niang looked at Ma Hehua in horror, only to see her holding a large knife, which gleamed with a cold light under the white light, as if it carried endless killing intent.
Cui Niang's heart raced instantly. Before she could think, she was pulled by the old tree and ran frantically into the distance.
Seeing Cui Niang escape with the help of the old tree, Ma Hehua's anger reached its peak.
She cursed under her breath as she strode after him. The large knife in her hand swung as she ran, its chilling aura seemingly freezing the surrounding air.
"Run? Don't even think about it."
Cui Niang and Lao Shu fled desperately through the mountains and forests, their footsteps and panting mingling together.
Cui Niang was filled with fear and despair. She didn't know if she could escape Ma Hehua's pursuit, or what her fate would be.
As the old tree pulled Cui Niang along, it comforted her in its ancient and steady voice, "Girl, don't be afraid. As long as we keep going, there is always hope." However, its branches and leaves trembled slightly from tension and exhaustion.
Ma Hehua pursued relentlessly, her eyes fixed on the fleeing figures ahead, her mind filled with only one thought: catch up with them and make them pay! Her breathing became rapid, but her pace did not slow down in the slightest.
