Black Wind Village is a backward and impoverished place. The Ma family is spoken of by everyone in the village. After having five sons, the 40-year-old woman of the Ma family became pregnant again....
As they drew closer to the ground, an ominous premonition spread through the three of them.
Finally, they could see the condition of the ground.
"Oh my god! What is this? The ground is covered with snakes."
Ma Hehua's voice changed tone, her eyes widened, and her face was full of terror.
The dense swarm of snakes resembled a writhing black ocean, their bodies intertwined and twisting.
The snakes' scales shimmered eerily in the dim light, like pieces of cold armor.
They flicked their tongues, making a hissing sound that blended together like a symphony of death.
Looking at the snakes, Ma Hehua felt a chill run down her spine, as if every hair on her head was about to stand on end.
She was so scared that she farted.
What terrified her even more was that the snakes seemed to sense the intruders and raised their necks, their triangular heads standing tall, their eyes filled with cold hostility.
Ma Linghua squinted and took a look. When she saw what the snakes looked like, her expression changed drastically.
Without hesitation, she opened the bag, muttering, "I can't worry about that now, I'll just let this guy out first."
"bump!"
The bear's massive body was roughly thrown out of the bag, landing heavily on the ground and kicking up a cloud of dust.
"I said, you old hag, can't you be a little gentler?"
The bear grumbled in dissatisfaction as it shook its furry body.
But as soon as it finished speaking, it felt uncomfortable all over its body.
A strange sensation came from my buttocks, like countless needles pricking me.
It looked back in confusion, and was immediately terrified.
All that could be seen were countless snakes with green crests on their heads biting onto its plump rear end.
The snakes clung tightly to the bear's rump, like malignant tumors growing on it.
The green serpent's crest stood out starkly against the black fur of the demon bear, resembling an evil flame.
The demonic bear howled in pain, trying to swat the snakes with its paws, but the snakes were too agile. As soon as the bear swung its paw, the snakes twisted their bodies to dodge and then quickly bit back.
Black fang marks soon appeared on the bear's rump, which began to turn bluish-purple, clearly indicating that the snakes were highly venomous.
The demon bear jumped up and down, shouting, "Ma Linghua, you're so wicked! You're pushing me into a fire pit! Quick, think of a way!"
Ma Linghua frowned, her eyes scanning her surroundings quickly, trying to find a way to deal with the snakes.
Ma Hehua hid behind Ma Linghua, clutching her clothes tightly with both hands, her body trembling, muttering, "Mother, what should we do? I don't want to be bitten by a snake."
Ma Linghua: "…………………………"
The snakes didn't seem satisfied with just attacking the demonic bear. Several snakes began to slowly slither towards Ma Linghua and Ma Hehua, their bodies meandering across the ground, leaving behind cold trails.
The cold gaze remained fixed on the three of them, as if it would devour them all at any moment.
Upon seeing a wooden bridge inside the cave, Ma Lihua made a quick decision.
Her eyes lit up, and she pointed her slender finger toward the wooden bridge, calling out eagerly, "Grandma, there's a bridge over there, let's go up!"
In this terrifying cave teeming with snakes, the wooden bridge stood out like a lifeline.
"Okay, Ah Xiong! Hurry up and take us there."
Ma Linghua was unusually gentle; although her voice still carried a hint of command, it was much milder than before.
Her eyes were fixed on the wooden bridge, and she felt that something was wrong.
The demonic bear was standing amidst a swarm of snakes, its massive body surrounded by writhing snakes.
Its rear end was swollen like a small hill, and it grimaced in pain with every movement.
Hearing Ma Linghua's words, it widened its eyes and asked helplessly, "How do I deliver it?"
"Lift your head up a bit, and we'll use it to step over."
Ma Linghua spoke without hesitation, her eyes revealing an unwavering determination.
The demonic bear stared wide-eyed and remained silent for a long while.
Demon Bear: "……………………"
It was extremely unwilling. What a terrible idea! Its butt was still sore, and now it was going to be used as a stepping stone.
But fine! That woman Ma Linghua holds his life in her hands. If he doesn't listen to her, who knows what worse things might happen to him later.
So, the bear reluctantly began to grow larger.
Its body expanded rapidly like an inflating balloon, its already enormous size becoming even larger, almost occupying half of the cave's space.
Then, it slowly raised its head, its huge head resembling a small hill, its eyes filled with grievance and helplessness.
It raised its head and muttered, "Nothing good ever comes out of here."
Ma Linghua, Ma Lihua, and Ma Hehua looked at the enormous head of the demonic bear, exchanged glances, took a deep breath, and used the bear's head as leverage to leap towards the wooden bridge.
As soon as they reached the bridge, Ma Linghua reacted quickly, making a hand gesture and chanting incantations.
In an instant, before the demonic bear could react, it was swept back into the bag by a powerful force.
But that wasn't all; the dozens of snakes that were tightly wrapped around the demon bear were also taken in.
The demonic bear's eyes widened, its mind filled with utter speechlessness: "……………………"
It felt like it had the worst luck imaginable, and couldn't help but curse inwardly, "That's so damn unfair!"
