"You...your aunt and uncle won't invite us to stay for dinner?"

Fang Hang stared wide-eyed at Li Xin, looking as if he had been greatly wronged.

Li Xin looked at him with an expression as if he were an idiot, his tone full of sarcasm: "You wish! My parents never had the privilege of eating at the table when they were young, how could I possibly have such a great honor as to sit at the table?"

Fang Hang was stunned, standing there bewildered, as if struck by lightning. Li Xin's words kept echoing in his mind, and all his curiosity shattered like a bubble.

Li Zhongguo ignored these trivial matters and quickly packed the packed food onto plates and placed them on the table.

Looking at the food, he frowned, thinking that this was not enough. So he turned around and went to the kitchen, took out the large rice cooker that he always kept ready, and started cooking rice.

The rice cooker was huge; he cooked ten bowls of rice in it. The white rice grains tumbled in the pot, emitting a fragrant aroma.

Ma Lihua stood at the door, her eyes darting around, curiously watching her mother, Ma Hehua.

Ma Hehua stood in front of the paper replicas of the Ox-Head and Horse-Face, swaying back and forth as if examining some rare treasure.

"Old Niu, what is she looking at?"

Horse-face asked Ox-head in a low voice.

Bull Head shook his enormous head and replied in a muffled voice, "How should I know?"

After a pause, he added narcissistically, "Maybe it's because we're both handsome!"

As he spoke, Niu Tou puffed out his chest with a smug look on his face. Amazingly, with his movements, the paper figure seemed to come alive, looking more and more realistic, and its colors became more vivid and dazzling, as if it were really about to walk out of the paper.

"No matter how I look at it, it doesn't look like the two Black and White Impermanence figures I ate!"

Ma Hehua muttered to herself, her eyes still darting around and examining the paper offering.

Horse-faced was stunned upon hearing this, his face full of confusion: "Eat...eat what again?"

He turned to look at Ox Head, "Old Ox, did you hear what she said just now?"

Niu Tou rolled his eyes at him: "I'm not deaf, but Brother Ma! You'd better watch out, this woman looks like she's going to open the villa roof and touch you."

Horse-face was speechless. He wasn't blind; he had already seen Ma Hehua's eager hand.

Just as Ma Hehua's hand was about to touch the paper offering, a voice suddenly came: "Madam, what are you doing? The old man is calling you for dinner."

Ma Hehua paused for a moment, and the next second, she ran into the house like a gust of wind, her speed astonishing.

For her, eating is the most important thing. Nothing can make her miss a good meal, not even for a second.

"Phew! That scared the hell out of me, I almost got unclean."

Horse Head patted his chest and said with lingering fear.

Turning their heads, they saw Uncle Fu looking at them with doting eyes.

"Little darlings, don't be afraid, Madam just likes you!" Uncle Fu said with a smile, as he took two fake red flowers from the flower bed next to him and gently put one in each of their hands.

Ox-Head and Horse-Face: "…………………………"

You're no better than that woman.

The large red flower danced in the wind on the paper offering, looking extremely festive, which contrasted sharply with the somewhat eerie atmosphere around it, as if adding a unique touch to this strange scene.

Looking at the table full of food, Li Zhongguo called out, "Stop busying yourselves, come and eat."

When Ma Linghua came to her senses, Ma Hehua and Ma Lihua rushed over.

Ma Hehua skipped over, sat down in a chair, stared intently at the food, and almost drooled.

"Lotus, look at yourself! Pay attention to your image! You're neither generous nor elegant, but lazy and greedy. I don't know who you take after."

Li Zhongguo's hand trembled. What was wrong? What had he done wrong again?

As the clock struck midnight, the Forbidden City took on a mysterious and eerie air under the moonlight.

The three members of the Ma family stealthily scaled the palace walls like ghosts and sneaked into the ancient palace.

"You little sluts, if you don't get a beating for a day, you'll start climbing on the roof and tearing off the tiles."

A sharp shout broke the silence, echoing in a courtyard.

There sat a fierce-looking old woman on a stool, her obese body almost filling the entire stool.

Her appearance was extremely fierce; the fleshy parts of her face trembled with her expression, her eyes shot out a cold light like knives, and her thin, tightly pursed lips carried a deep sense of acerbic sarcasm.

Where's Lily?

The old woman demanded an explanation.

As soon as she finished speaking, a palace maid stepped forward tremblingly. She leaned forward slightly and answered obsequiously, "Reporting to Madam, Sister Baihe has gone to find you some tonics."

"Hmm! Not bad, Lily is exactly what I like! You wretched girls should all learn from her, lest you make me so angry that I get sick, and then you'll be the ones who suffer."

As she spoke, the old woman stroked her belly with her chubby hands, her cheeks trembling slightly with pride.

Upon hearing this, the little ghost maids trembled involuntarily, their eyes filled with fear.

Upon seeing this, the old woman immediately revealed a smug smile, which appeared particularly ferocious in the moonlight, like a demon crawling out of the depths of hell enjoying the fear of its prey, adding a chill to the midnight courtyard of the Forbidden City.

"Help! Master, please spare me! I'm just a lowly ghost, I've never harmed anyone!"

The palace maid's mournful cries echoed in the eerie atmosphere, her voice filled with fear and pleading.
