Black Wind Village is a backward and impoverished place. The Ma family is spoken of by everyone in the village. After having five sons, the 40-year-old woman of the Ma family became pregnant again....
"Alright, Lotus, that's enough."
Ma Linghua put her phone in her pocket and looked up at the Ouija board.
She was wearing a light blue dress, her hair was bald on top (from being grabbed by Ma Hehua), and her face was swollen; she was truly bewildered.
"Speak! What brings you here today?"
Ouija board: "……………………"
What's wrong? It's murder, of course!
But she dared not say it now.
"Are you deaf? Didn't you hear my mother asking you a question?"
Ma Hehua roared, and Auntie Ouija Board trembled.
"I...I was just passing by."
"Do we look like a split melon?"
Ma Hehua rolled her eyes. Did they really think they were some kind of shrew?
"Alright, that's enough. Let's leave it at that for today. Now it's time to send you on your way."
Ma Hehua had a sinister smile on her face, which was somewhat frightening.
"No... Master, please, please let me go! I... I was forced into this situation!"
"None of our business."
They take money to do their jobs, and any grievances the spirit might have have nothing to do with them.
With a flash of cold light, the broadsword swung down like the scythe of death, and the spirit of the Ouija board instantly lost its breath. The whole process was swift and efficient, taking only five minutes.
Everyone around, except for Li Xin who remained calm, was dumbfounded, as if their souls had been stolen by this shocking scene.
"Finished, that's a wrap."
Ma Hehua clapped her hands, completely unconcerned about the lingering stench of decay in the air.
"Oh, right, pay us the fare later."
She turned to Li Xin and spoke casually, as if she had just completed a routine task.
It was late at night, and the clock struck nine. The group looked up at the sky, deciding it was time to go home, as they all had their own things to do the next day.
"Xiao Xin, your school is no ordinary place; it's filled with a heavy yin energy. Although the aura of the God of Literature is suppressing it, trouble is bound to break out sooner or later. When that happens, take the jobs, and you'll naturally reap the rewards."
Ma Linghua gazed at the dark night outside the window, her eyes narrowed, her gaze shrewd as if she could see through all the secrets hidden in the darkness.
"Grandma, don't worry, you know how I handle things, I'm always right."
Li Xin patted his chest and guaranteed.
"Hmm! You're a good kid."
Ma Linghua nodded in satisfaction.
However, no sooner had the words left his mouth than a gust of wind rushed in through the window, followed by a gasp of alarm from outside.
"Ah! Quick, someone jumped off a building!"
The sound was like a sharp awl, piercing the stillness of the night.
"What? Jump off a building?"
Everyone's expression changed.
"They are the four computer science students in room 404 of the boys' dormitory."
Shouts echoed through the stairwell, sounding particularly eerie in the quiet night.
Yang Han felt a chill run down his back, the coldness shooting straight up his spine, as if an icy hand was slowly moving along his back.
Li Xin frowned, his face full of confusion. He couldn't understand why the people in dormitory 404 who played with the Ouija board had still met with death, even though the spirit had clearly been killed.
"What...what's going on?"
He muttered to himself, his voice filled with confusion.
Yang Han's voice trembled, like a candle flickering in the wind: "What happened?"
His eyes were filled with fear as he stared intently at Ma Hehua, hoping to get an answer from her.
"What's going on? Hehe!" Ma Hehua sneered, her face showing an expression as if she were looking at an idiot. Her gaze swept over Yang Han. "You don't actually think there's only one Ouija board spirit, do you?" Her tone was laced with sarcasm.
Isn't that so?
Yang Han's eyes widened in disbelief.
"Tsk!" Ma Hehua clicked her tongue. "There must be quite a few people in your school who play with Ouija boards, right? When one Ouija board dies, another one is already eager to take its place, just like how you guys have substitute players in a ball game. Don't ghosts have this kind of operation? You guys are really too naive."
As she spoke, she shook her head, her eyes revealing disdain for such ignorant ideas.
At this moment, the surrounding air seemed to grow even colder.
Ghost stories are the most unbelievable things in the world. Behind those seemingly simple appearances often lies a more terrifying truth.
Anyone who easily believes the lies of ghosts is simply insane, yet it seems that far too many people in this school have already fallen into this deadly trap.
"Then...will something still happen to me?"
Yang Han's lips trembled, his face turned deathly pale, and the fear in his eyes surged like a tidal wave.
He clutched the hem of his clothes tightly, his body trembling slightly, as if he would collapse to the ground at any moment.
"Don't worry, nothing will happen. If something does happen, remember to invite us to a feast."
Ma Hehua pursed her lips, her expression not one of joking.
Yang Han looked at her, his face showing an expression even worse than crying, filled with despair and helplessness.
Taking advantage of the chaos, the three members of the Ma family quietly went downstairs.
The scene in front of the dormitory was like a living hell. Four dead people lay sprawled out, their eyes wide open, their empty gazes staring straight at the direction of the teaching building, as if they had seen something extremely terrifying in their last moments.
Blood flowed freely on the ground, pooling into a dark red puddle that emitted a pungent, fishy smell.
One of them had its brains splattered out, the white brain matter mixed with blood splattering on the surrounding ground and walls, a horrifying sight.
There was another one who seemed to still have a breath left, his body twitching incessantly, but for some reason, he suddenly vomited a mouthful of blood, his body stiffened, and he completely lost his life.
