Zhao Lin, Su Di and their men rode their horses all the way until it was getting dark, and then they found an inn to stay.

"Zhao Lin, why are you walking so fast?" Sudi asked puzzledly.

"He's dead. He was shot to death. He's just in front of us." The bailiff said fearfully.

Sun Xiaohui and Zhang Yongzhen looked at each other, whipped their whips and galloped to the place where the yamen runners were ambushing in front.

There were no signs of fighting here, only two headless corpses lying miserably on the ground.

"Damn it!" Sun Xiaohui said angrily.

Zhang Yongzhen said calmly, "Forget it, if you die, you die. Go back and report."

They did not feel much about Zhao Lin's death. They had originally issued an order to kill Zhao Lin, but they did not expect that Zhao Lin would die before they could even do anything about it.
