Chapter 67 The Boss is indeed a boss

A man in a hamburger shop uniform spoke up, "I heard your boss used to pick up girls a lot. Those two girls were pretty. Could they have come to settle scores with your boss after awakening their superpowers?"

Tao Yarong's eyes widened like copper bells as she stared at the wall in front of her, a mixture of mud and cement. She felt a chill run down her spine, as if countless ants were crawling on her head and gnawing at her.

As expected of a big shot, how many more shocks await her?

Could there be more than five elements, or perhaps other superpowers?

Thinking of this, Tao Yarong felt her legs go weak and had an urge to kneel down and worship the big boss.

Meng Shiwan spoke up, "Go collect the things."

"Okay, sis."

Tao Yarong picked up a fire extinguisher from the corner and smashed it on the counter with a bang, shattering the glass counter next to her instantly.

She tugged at the hem of her clothes, grabbed the jewelry from the counter, and stuffed it into her clothes.

Meng Shiwan wasn't idle either; her metallic fist slammed into the glass, sending shards flying everywhere.

With a flick of her finger, the jewelry in the display case disappeared, temporarily stored away in her spatial storage.

She frowned slightly as she noticed that the jewelry in the display case consisted mostly of earrings and smaller items like rings.

I didn't see any bracelets, necklaces, or anything like that.

Meng Shiwan's gaze fell on the few people standing behind the counter.

Four women in suits and two men in hamburger shop uniforms were all watching her warily.

Meng Shiwan's gaze swept to the other side of the gold shop, where there was a hamburger shop.

The wall in the middle was breached; these people must have survived until now by eating food from the hamburger shop.

Before Meng Shiwan could speak, one of the men weakly said, "These things belong to us, you can't take them away."

He knew he shouldn't have said it, so he spoke as softly as a mosquito's buzz.

Why would two men be so kind as to share their food?

They agreed that the food would be given to the gold shop employees, but they would also have a share of the gold.

The valuables have long been hidden away.

There were some rings and earrings left on the counter, just in case someone tried to snatch them.

Robbers like this only steal from inside the counter; they might be able to keep some of what they've hidden.

The purpose of saying this now is to imply to Meng Shiwan and the other person that they should grab what they can from the cabinet and leave quickly.

The branch pierced through the skull and embedded itself in the head of the female zombie behind, killing them both.

There were quite a few people in the mall, and there were hundreds of zombies on the first floor alone.
